We had an EXCEPTIONAL TIME with Captain Jason!!! He was both fun and informative and gave us such a great close-up view of the Louisianna eco-system. We considered going with the cheaper flat-bottom boat option, but we are SO GLAD we splurged for the airboat. Worth every penny!!!

Captain Ernie gave us our instructions and strapped us in. Our large boat tour had about 15 passengers and I have been air boating all of my life - this is the safest time I have ever felt on an airboat. We wore seatbelts that fit 2-3 people together, had ear protection gear which worked and fit well, and the boat had metal arms that came down to keep you safely inside the boat if we would lean.
Ernie stopped the boat a few times to come down to the front to talk to us. He emphasized that we signed up for a swamp tour and not an alligator tour…..alligators are reptiles and they basically hibernate for the cold months. Luckily, it was warm enough that we did see several gators, a poisonous snake in a tree (yes, that really happened), birds and lots of deer.
Ernie talked to us about how these areas where salt and fresh water mix act as filters for our environment. We talked about alligators, how hurricanes have affected these areas, what is means to be a Cajun, and “swamp people.” No question was off limits and we had a great time.
This was family-safe and I would not hesitate to take my own child on this tour.

Fantastic tour, would definitely recommend using Louisiana Tour Company! We did the large airboat tour and had a fantastic time exploring the bayous and swamp. Or Captain was great fun, would stop sometimes so we could see gators or other animals close up, but didn't stop every time so the tour does nicely and we got to see more of the area. The captain clearly loves this area and would tell us interesting facts about it - loved the fact that we actually learned more about the swamp and the gators as well as enjoying the airboat tour itself. Cannot fault and would definitely recommend this company. Recommend wearing the ear protectors provided as it can be loud!

My family and I had an amazing time on this swamp tour, which was led by a local guide (Chaz) who was super knowledgable and personable! We learned a lot, saw a few gators and even got to hold a little guy who was very cute. The airboat was quite fast at top speed, so had a nice thrill to the ride. From what I could tell this is a small, family-run operation and it was not crowded with tourists. It was great and I highly recommend this company!

Fun times on the bayou. Saw lots of alligators and other animals, learned a lot. My teenage daughter enjoyed it as well especially the baby alligator. Will wake you up with the noise and the speed and might want to bring a jacket due to the high winds. Some beautiful landscapes as well. Would definitely recommend it as a contrast to the huddles masses in New Orleans!

I am from the area and have never been on a swamp tour. I have to say me and my 6 yr old grandson son loves it. I think what we loved the most was going fast and getting wet. If you don’t want to get wet, don’t do the airboat. Our guide was awesome but didn’t catch his name. And the lady in the gift shop made my grandsons day. Thank y’all for an awesome day all away around. See y’all again soon.

We did the large fan boat gator tour it was a great time! It was a bit chilly but with coats and the ear protection they provide it wasnt bad at all. We saw at least 10 gators and stopped at a few spots and our Tour guide answered all our questions. We’ll definitely be back probably during mating season so we can see some bigger ones!

Really great experience! The pick up was smooth, the tour was super fun in the air boat, and our guide Dewey was super knowledgeable and interesting. Definitely number one swamp tour company! You could tell Dewey had grown up in the area we had such a good time. We saw so many gators! Highly recommend!

We had a fabulous time with Captain Ernie. Ernie grew up in the area so he is a wealth of knowledge. He was fun, entertaining, educational and we loved every minute of our tour. Keep in mind the weather. If it is really cold, it will be hard to find gators. We had a warm sunny day and saw a lot of alligators. We saw an Osprey too! We saw a variety of landscapes, learned why different areas all look different from each other. We learned a lot about alligators themselves. We laughed. One of the best things we have ever decided to do. It was wonderful.

We had a group of six on the large airboat tour. Our guides name was Dewy, he was fantastic. We got to see lots of alligators and many other animals including a barn owl. It was nice and sunny, the weather was perfect and everyone in our group really enjoyed the tour. Dewy surprised us with a baby alligator that everyone got to hold at the very end. we loved it!

Yes the boat holds around fifty people and your three would be part of this despite it being a large boat the trip was very good
