Thank you Doug Friday!!
My girlfriend and I have traveled this country far and wide for unique paranormal stories and activities, and I'm happy to have thoroughly enjoyed our ghost tour with Doug Friday.
First off, Kudos to Doug for sticking it out for the only 2 of us who showed up in wind, rain and cold weather. Downed trees and outted street lights didn't stop us!
Doug's excellent storytelling brought us in and got our blood pumping. He was professional, very knowledgeable of local history and encouraged questions. He was also kind enough to help us back to familiar territory once the tour had ended.
Felt *super* bad that we weren't prepared with a cash tip, can we customers request a raise for him?
*** Note: I was given a 601 - 623 Magnolia for parking during our tour. We did not find a public parking area, it was just free street parking unassociated with City Tours. Did we miss something?
Phenomenally dark history in such a beautiful city. I'm so excited for my next trip back to Louisville. Lot of amazing paranormal opportunities in this area!
Thanks again! I will recommend you to all who come to admire the beautiful sites and the rich history of Kentucky.

A misty chill made for great weather and our small group of three thoroughly enjoyed Cali’s presentation of the history and hauntings of old Louisville. We will be recommending this tour to our friends and they would be lucky to have Cali as a guide. He gave us a great show. 10 out of 10 recommend!

A Frighteningly Fun Time!

The Melancholy and Mourning Haunted Walking Tour was an incredibly fun and unique way to experience Louisville's spooky history! Our tour guide Ben was truly fantastic. He was funny and knowledgeable, and really cared that everyone had a great time. My wife and I love haunted tours and this ranked as one of our all time favorites! Highly recommend if you like learning about different cities' histories mixed with some creepy tales and legends.

To be fair it was a cold night and only 4 people were part of the tour, but we didn't feel like we were getting any history included with the ever-so-often ghost story.

I love ghost tours because of the fun stories but mainly to gain knowledge and history about the city.

I wouldn't recommend this tour.

Always a great idea to book Ghost Tours

Every time I visit a new city I book a haunted tour. This is my favorite way to see the city, learn local lore and get my creepy on. Ghost Tours is my favorite company to use and they never disappoint. This Louisville tour was fantastic! Scott, our tour guide, was very informative, energetic and entertaining. We had a few sprinkles falling from the sky during various portions of our tour which only added to the stories. It was the first time my friend had ever done a haunted tour and she is fully converted. Thank you for an awesome intro to the dark side of Kentucky.

Disappointing

I brought my family to Old Louisville because I read about it in the New York Times. I should have done my research before booking this tour, however. I thought this was the tour everyone was raving about; it's not. This is a large, nation-wide tour company that just arrived in April. The neighborhood is stunning and the guide was pleasant, however the stories were very lackluster and just matter of fact. In addition, it felt like we were kind of strong armed for tips afterwards.

Cali was an excellent guide on a chilly winter evening tour! The atmosphere was perfect for ghost stories, and his knowledge of the stops motivated us to tour the Conrad/Caldwell mansion the next morning! Highly recommend this tour!

Interesting neighborhood but I don't recommend this company. Arrived 15 minutes early for tour and the guide was halfway through the first story. Didn't seem to know much about the history of the city and at the end of the tour they tried to leave us in the middle of a neighborhood - we had no idea where we were and had to ask them to take us back to the starting point. 😮

My boyfriend and I chose this activity for his birthday tonight. We did the 9:00 tour. We had an amazing time. Scott our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of this area, told the haunting stories very well and interacted great with the group. He was very professional and witty. I would definitely do this again and recommend to family and friends.
