Nicely maintained Field of Dreams Movie Set. You are free to roam the corn field and use the baseball diamond. My favorite part was watching families pitch/bat balls. You can roam into the corn fields. New gift shop although the merchandise is somewhat disappointing. Prior to the movie this was a working farm and after the movie the owners moved back in. Since then, the Field of Dreams house has been restored to mimic as much as possible the movie set. Upstairs are off limits as the rooms are rented out (starting at $500/night). Tour is a bit expensive for what you get. However, our guide, Libby, did an excellent job and guests from the area added additional color.

Admission is a $20 donation. Park on the grass. Lines can be long to get in due to inefficiencies. Reasonably price snack bar with decent food. I was surprised that they only have port-a-potties (and those needed servicing) .

If you love baseball and love the movie, then you'll love " The Field Of Dreams ". The field is there, the bleachers are as well. Look off to your right and there's that farm house. Best of all, the Corn field. The only problem is, if you want to see the corn field as it was in the movie, come in late July and August. It's real corn and it has to grow in it's growing cycle. I went in late June and the corn was just about up to my knees. I do have a few problems with it. First, there is a person, who stops you as you drive in and explains the layout and where to park. She then asks for a donation, but fails to say, what might be the appropriate amount and says no more. I gave the girl twenty dollars and figured that I'm covered. Then reality hits you, when you walk up to tour the house. As you enter, there's a fee of twenty dollars a person and that's not a donation! Why wasn't I told all of this at the entrance? I've just spent sixty dollars to see a ballfield and these aren't the Yankees. They have to be MORE open in their costs or people will spread the word and maybe the Field of Dreams will turn out to be the Field of Nightmares!

If you are a baseball fan or even if you are not, The Field of Dreams is a wonderful place. Just driving up the road you can probably hear "if you build it." Just seeing the ballfield carved out of the Iowa cornfield was amazing but walking on the field and playing catch with other visitors was amazing. I also chose to do the house tour which was awesome. While I have seen the movie many, many times out guide told us a number of interesting facts about the movie and the scenes that were filmed here. It was one of the best tours that I have ever had. I did buy my ticket for the house tour well in advance which is advisable because the number of people permitted on each tour is limited and tours do fill up very quickly. I totally enjoyed my visit to the Field of Dreams. I really felt like a kid again. Wonderful experience.

Took my sister 5 hr drive for her birthday. Met my sister and her husband there too. Went to the gate my sister n her husband donated money for them and us, $20 each vehicle. I also donated $20 not knowing they donated for us and the man at the gate never said anything and gladly accepted my donation, ripoff.
So it's pretty simple visit, knowing the film was cool to put it together while visiting. Visited gift shop and like every gift shop outrageous price on things , a kids ABC book $25
Took the house tour , what a rip off $20 to walk in a 4 room downstairs of the house, story told by Craig comparing the movie scenes to the poorly decorated house. What a joke, save your time and money. This is not worth a drive just to see, if you are in the area then wouldn't be a bad stop. 😉 glad we went but watch the BS about touring. Walked in the corn 🌽 field and there were only like maybe 10 rows of corn the rest of the field was picked. They tend to build more, glad we came now instead of after the build on of 300 acres, couldn't imagine the rest being a rip off. It was an experience.

Our house tour guide was great! But I thought it was awkward to ask for a donation (suggested $20) when we had already spent $66 on three tickets for a 30 minute tour. We informed the woman collecting donations, but she pressed us until we donated.

As far as the store, there was more branded “Baseballism” merch than Field of Dreams merch, all of which was ridiculously overpriced ($35 for a screen printed t-shirt)

Also, the only bathroom was a set of port-a-pots in medium condition.

We were so glad to get on the field and throw and walk into the corn, but after a long drive to the field, and the money we paid, I had hoped for a bit more.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and very passionate about the house and especially the field. Lots of fun facts.
My only complaint is the payment process. We ordered tickets online, but then we had to wait inside the house for almost 10 minute for others to pay. Payments should be done prior to entering the house for the tour to avoid people standing around for those people that planned ahead.
And I would have liked to see the upstairs. Good marketing for possible future stays.

The house tour was informational and Craig, our guide, was a good storyteller. He took a 15 minute tour and stretched it into 45 minutes, though he lost my wife after about 20 minutes. The price of $20 per person is a bit steep, especially after they "ask" for a $20 donation to park. Went in May, so no corn to walk through and little league games were being played so we couldn't go on the field. The lack of corn stalks also allows the new stadium being built for major league games to ruin the view into the outfield. Without the house tour, this rating would have been a "1". Go before the construction starts on the rest of the ball fields. People go here for the feel of what the movie was all about, not to see a major league game or a travel ball tournament. I also suggest going when the corn is high so you can experience the field as it was in the movie.

This was a great tour! Our tour guide Craig was very knowledgeable and friendly. It was interesting to learn how parts of the movie were made and we enjoyed seeing the inside of the house as well. It was fun to walk out of the corn field and hang out on the ball field! I would highly recommend taking the tour and visiting the site if you’re in the area.

They also have a large gift shop. The only thing I wish they had was more merchandise with the original teams on them. They had a lot of Reds and Cubs merchandise because that’s who played this year, but I would have liked the see the White Sox and Yankees. Also, it would have been great if they sold the old time shirts and hats from that time period but they didn’t. Other than that, they gift shop was really nice.

The Field of Dreams baseball field is amazing, a 5-star experience. I've reviewed it elsewhere. This review is specific to the $25 home tour. It was pretty cool going inside the house and seeing the room, although it's not really worth $25. Craig was our tour guide and we got bored pretty quickly as he went on at length rhapsodizing about and mythologizing the home's owners. None of us cared about those people or their family history or various health issues--we came to learn about the MOVIE. With more inside info about shooting the movie, it could have been a great tour.

We got our tickets online and arrived to a great experience being able to tour the house and hear facts about the movie and how it came about was well worth the ticket price. Our Tour guide Craig did a super job. The place is well taken care of and being able to run a base or catch a ball was an added touch. To see the field and walk around is free - donation only - but well worth giving them a donation to keep the place up. Way more than I was expecting - only downside was wish we would have thought it through and gone later in the summer when the corn was at its full height but it still was great looking in June just short.
