If you are visiting the central coast, this is great way to see the coastal redwood forest while riding a historic train. The trip features amazing views of the San Lorenzo River snaking around boulders at the bottom of the river valley while columns of redwoods tower above you.

We took the train from Santa Cruz to Roaring Camp. It was a very fun and relaxing afternoon. The conductor is entertaining and the views are amazing. Sit on the right side of the train for the best views. The trip takes about an hour to get there and then you can walk around
