        Long day.. x
Very long day. Pick up point easy to find with parking next door. good trip and a good way to pack in LA in one day. Minibus was comfy and guide was good albeit spoke so fast couldn’t understand him. There were alot of stops, some of which didnt need the amount of stop time, and some of which needed more. The lunch stop was too short whilst Rodeo Drive was way too long. Got back at 6 - very long day.

        Wonderful day!
We were a group of 6 - our driver was Alli. We enjoyed a wonderful day. Got a great taste of LA and the places you hear about in the news, on television and in movies! Alli was very informative and paced the stops perfectly. I highly recommend this tour!

        Such an Awesome tour!!!
We just visited the Los Angeles area for a school trip from Montgomery, Alabama and used A Day in LA Tours. George was our tour guide and Harry was our driver and they did a wonderful tour for us! They shared stories and information about the area and the culture and history of the people in the area. Such a great time and learned so much! Will definitely do it again and recommend to anyone I see.

        Outstanding Company and Guide
Ali, our guide, was knowledgeable, affable, and courteous. When I called to confirm their vehicle was wheelchair accessible, the call taker informed me that none of their vehicles were accessible. She said she'd talk to a supervisor and get back to me. Ali showed up driving a ramp van. I was elated that this company accommodated me and I was able to enjoy the tour with my family.

An amazing experience , really worthwhile
A Day in LA is a professional tour operator. We are a family of 3. We had a great day. Really well organised. The planning and the schedule was great. Plenty of space in the bus. The tour guide was one of the best that we have ever seen in a tour. Great knowledge about LA and good balance of old and modern items to know about LA. I will definetely recommend this tour operator. A great value for money.

        Trip down memory lane
I grew up in Whittier but have been gone for over 45 years. Came back for a high school reunion and decided to do a tour of the area as my husband had never visited the area for leisure before. Chose the Day in LA tour as it included so many top spots in LA. The tour guide Joe was a local and was very knowledgeable about the area. I would highly recommend the tour for those that want to visit as many spots as possible with someone who knows the area so well.

        Excellent LA Tour!
My kids and I enjoyed the tour very much!! Monty was superb!! He was pleasant, fun, friendly and very knowledgeable about LA. Monty talked about LA’s history and fun facts in fascinating ways, and that made the tour even more interesting. He helped take beautiful pictures for us. He went above and beyond to make the trip cool and fun all the way. We had a wonderful time! I highly recommend this tour! 😊 - Elizabeth

A Day in LA Tours was an excellent experience for my boyfriend and I. We were generously greeted by the tour staff, and the itinerary perfectly laid out what to expect throughout the day. The tour included numerous landmark visits, beautiful vistas for photos and selfies, and so much more. On top of that, our tour guide was outstanding—his knowledge of the city, coupled with his deep interest in film history and culture, provided us with an unforgettable LA experience that we will hold onto forever.

I highly recommend you travel with A Day in LA Tours if you want to experience some of LA’s most iconic sites and hear the compelling stories that give life to them. 11/10

I took my family of five (three kids 15, 13 and 9) on this tour as we only had a day to devote to sightseeing, and it was money well spent. Colin, our guide, was great - - knowledgeable about all the places we visited, accommodating, friendly, and gave us just enough time in each location. We especially loved the empanadas at lunch, the entirety of the Griffith Observatory visit, and the skateboarding and street art at Venice Beach. Hotel pickup and drop-off at our LAX area hotel was easy and appreciated as well. Highly recommend!

The tour was very good and it is ideal for someone who is visiting LA only for 1-2 days and doesn’t have the time to see everything. We felt that it was a bit pricey though. However, the starting point near the Walk of Fame was changed not to our knowledge, because of road work at Hollywood Bv. This resulted us having to call the company, because they never called us or sent us an e-mail for this change, in order to find the bus, which was parked in another street, around 200m. from the given starting point. This call alone cost 20 dollars from a European cell phone. Not a very positive experience and a quite stressful way to begin with.

I recommend this tour, it’s worth the price, all the stops are major points of interest. Bus was clean, comfortable and air-conditioned. It was a good enough time, about 45 mins, at each stop to get a taste so if you’re interested you can re-visit and spend more time on your own. Our tour guide, John, was very professional and relayed his knowledge to us clearly and continuously. Customer service with the company in general was very good from beginning to end.

My only complaint is that our tour ran 9 hrs when website states time should be ~ 7.5 hrs (we started the tour at 9:30 am and ended at 6:30 pm). Not the driver’s fault, we ran late leaving every stop due to passengers not returning and boarding bus on scheduled time.

While i usually like to explore cities on my own, my fiancé and I only had one to check out LA before heading out on a cruise, so we found this tour on Trip Advisor. From the organization from the moment of pickup near our hotel, to the very end and having a credit for an Uber to get us back to our hotel was flawless. We were picked up at our hotel, the Intercontinental on Wilshire, at 730 am and brought to a small coffee shop before our tour guide for the day picked up the group. The first driver called when he arrived and was friendly, and courteous. Our tour guide knew everything to know about LA going back to the 1500's with foreign explorers through present day. It might sound boring, but it was not, his knowledge gave everything context...and the dude is from Chicago. He was always on time picking the group up after each stop, was where he said he would be, and was just a friendly knowledgeable dude. Loved this tour, and I think their method and staff is exactly what you want when you only have 8 hours to really get to know the city your in. Amazing tour!! Must do!!

My husband and I just ended a 16 day Panama Canal cruise in LA and booked this tour before leaving Miami. One of the benefits was that they picked us up at our hotel by LAX airport. The bus was very clean with comfy leather chairs. We loved the Caribbean music before the tour started. Mike was extremely knowledgeable and took us to most of the major sights including Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills and Venice Beach. Unfortunately the Getty observatory was closed due to an event but Mike did not disappoint. Instead he took us to Mulholland Drive ( which was normally not on the tour routes), where he pointed out homes of the stars and stopped at a lookout point where we could take pics of the San Fernando Valley. On the way back he played trivia games. It was Amazing! I highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to get the best tour of LA!

We decided to book this tour during a girls' trip to L.A. and we were SO glad we did! It was easy to enjoy all the sites while someone else did the driving. Our guide, Mark, was very knowledgeable and we loved all the trivia and music he did/played while we were on the bus. There wasn't a dull moment all day! We were picked up near our hotel on Hollywood Blvd. and met up with the rest of the tour in Santa Monica. The bus even provided water bottles throughout the day. The ONLY reason I didn't give 5 stars was because I felt we did not have enough time at Santa Monica Pier...only 10 minutes, so we basically saw it from afar and took a picture with the sign. I feel the tour would be perfect if they would give an hour at Santa Monica Pier. Also, it was February, so not much going on in Venice Beach (1/2 hour stop), and I could see how an hour would be needed there if it were summer when the boardwalk's busy. We both felt this was VERY much worth the money to do, and we were really skeptical about doing a tour in the first place. Sit back, enjoy, and let them show you the sites!

The tour started off at 9h30am, and it wrapped up around 5h30pm (that's the time the tour ended, but we still had the drive back which took a while).

The van was comfortable, air-conditioned, and had cold bottled water available at all times. No meals or snacks were included, as expected.

Our guide, Jeff, was funny and knowledgeable, and kept a steady stream of information and interaction going through the whole tour. He also did a great job informing us of meet-up times and alternatives for each of our stops.

The tour follows the itinerary diligently, and I do believe we hit the highlights for LA in a single day. However, they advertise that you can get a great view of the Hollywood sign from the Griffith Observatory, which is simply not true and was a bit of a disappointment. It is true that you can see the sign (and an absolutely gorgeous view of the city, it was lovely even though on the day of the tour it was quite hazy), but it is very far away. If you're looking to have good pictures with the Hollywood sign, I'd recommend Lake Hollywood Park (no hiking needed) or one of the hiking trails that get you closer to the sign (I did not have time to try any, so I have no recommendations to give).

Another point is that I feel like this isn't the best option for solo travelers, like I was. The tour is on the van, and we drive to these locations and then everyone exits the van, and we are given a time limit to explore the area (the time limits were generous, and I did not feel rushed at all).

The information given by the guide is all done in-vehicle, so we are left to explore mostly on our own, which is fine, but it does make getting pictures a bit harder, as the group doesn't stick together, and the guide does not accompany us into the stops (which makes perfect sense as there is a lot to see on each stop and people want different things). So, if you're expecting to rely on a guide or the group to get pictures/extra information on site, that's not going to happen.

I do recommend the tour, though I wish it had started a bit earlier as the sun set quite early (since it is autumn heading into winter) and I feel like starting an hour earlier would've given us a bit more sunlight.

Once again, if you're hoping for a good picture with the Hollywood sign do not bank on getting one during this tour, make alternative arrangements prior or after to get it if it is important to you.

This was a fun-filled day trip!! The buses were clean, the chose. Location stops were spot on, the narrative and history lesson provided by our amazing guide John was extremely informative and finally the lengths at the stops was perfect. If you only have a short period and was to see the iconic sights and learn about the town you are staying in, I highly recommend this group. They take great care of you!!!
