What a great tour!!! Robbie is a remarkable guide. Very informative tour with lots of great food. We enjoyed samples from 6 different places and left very full! Not too much walking between stops. Robbie does an excellent job teaching about LA’s history, architecture, restaurant scene, and movie trivia. Robbie also provided us with a big list of places to visit in the area, which was an added bonus!
I recommend bringing a bottle of water and giving yourself plenty of extra time to commute to the area. (We gave ourselves 45 mins from Inglewood and we’re still late) Parking in the 6th St garage was 6 dollars and very close to the meeting spot.

Chris was very informative and had a lovely friendly manor. Our son with autism really took to him and we all enjoyed trying all the local culinary delights suggested by him. Through him we were able to get a real flavor of how Downtown has evolved in time and become the city it is today.

I enjoyed the combination of history of city architecture and cuisine history of each restaurant. Be advised to go hungry since there are about 6 food stops but mostly high caloric items. I would like to suggest returning to the bakery as the last stop and not the vegan donut shop. (I did not like the donuts). The almond croissants at the bakery were delicious. I returned after the tour to buy some but they were sold out.
It is a walking tour with picnic table style seating on one occasion which may be a barrier for some. Take water and note stops for bathroom breaks and enjoy this atypical and different tour. Our guide was clear and loud enough for all to hear and understand.

Don't think it was worth the money. Paid $89 each for 2 of us, had to pay for parking which was another $20. Our tour guide mostly talked about the architecture of the building we passed. Actually, can't remember a lot of what he talked about. We went to about 5 food places. The food we had were 1/2 almond croissant, 2x2 piece of brisket, 1/4 of a grilled cheese sandwich, one street size taco, slice of pizza and a donut. Food was so, so. We didn't receive any water that was supposed to be provided (had to pay my own).

Chris was a fantastic and very knowledgeable guide. My sister was visiting Los Angeles from Florida and two friends who had recently done the tour raved about it so we booked it.
Not only did we enjoy the variety of foods offered, we were treated to a terrific history lesson about downtown. Although I have lived in West Los Angeles for over 40 years, I learned things about the development of downtown and the early architecture and movie palaces.
We dined on a fantastic almond croissant, barbequed beef brisket, a heavenly grilled chees sandwich, tacos, potstickers and finished with blue ice cream.
I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting LA, or to Angelinos who rarely get downtown, too.

Scarlett was a great tour guide. We had one person who needed gluten free options and another person who needed vegetarian options. She was on top of it and made sure we all had something that met our requirements at the various stops. When we came to the pizza stop, the only table for 4 was inside where it was too hot to sit comfortably. She personally moved a table and chairs outside for us so we could sit where it was cooler. All the food stops were great although we would prefer a donut stop that was not vegan but just regular donuts. We have taken food tours in other cities and this was one of the most pleasant with good historical info and great food. Definitely worth the time and money! Highly recommend Scarlett as tour guide.

Robbie B was a fantastic guide. He was friendly, helpful and told us the history of where we were visiting with just the right level of detail and gentle humour. He seemed to really care about the tour and his responsibilities to host us well. The food was amazing. Very hard to choose a favourite - was it the almond croissant, the taco, or the ice cream? Other worthy runners up too! A fantastic way of getting a bite sized Downtown LA introduction on day one of my first ever visit!

The DTLA sidewalk food tour was amazing! Chris was a wonderful tour guide- he had so much niche knowledge about the most unexpected things around the city and did a phenomenal job delivering history about all the spots we visited! Every stop we visited was absolutely delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite we had. Chris also recommended other places to get drinks at each stop- my teenager was thoroughly pleased with the boba he recommended next to the stop where we got to try some fantastic gyoza. Altogether a lovely experience, we’d do it all over again if we could!

The foodie tour was outstanding. Robbie B was spectacular in every way. His knowledge of downtown LA was excellent, the choice of restaurants was excellent a perfect culinary experience. It had to be challenging explaining the venues and other local facts with the noise of the big city and keeping his guests together. He was great.

A great way to see the city and have the history shared in a way where you can fully appreciate it as you encounter all the buildings and landmarks as you walk. The food was exemplary. Easy way to get wonderful eats (and a great variety) without having to do my own research! Thank you Robbie for your excellent

Hello, we are flexible on the date and have an option of booking either Saturday, Oct 30 or Sunday, October 31. Does it make any difference in terms of perhaps some of the eateries being closed on Sundays or the experience will be very similar for either Saturday or Sunday? Thank you!
