Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- JenC7940 contributionsTripAdvisor scams peopleTripAdvisor scammed me. Do not book through them. I booked a buy one get one and they lost my booking information and refused to help me.Written February 4, 2025
- sonsliu0 contributionsNot good. They seemed unfriendlyWe heard the amusement parks in orlando were so good, but coming here, i thought they were crude, businesses that operated like a machine. I found prejudice among some, edgy continuations among some, and a haughty sense of themselves. Universal seemed like they ordered me, not friendly.Written January 12, 2025
- MrVMalta0 contributionsDon’t skip the original Universal Studios TourMuch smaller than its Orlando sibling but don’t get fooled - Universal Hollywood has still plenty to offer. The highlight for me was the studio tour which showed us some of famous movie sets you’ll recognise from blockbusters and music videos.Written January 11, 2025
- 992maritak0 contributionsUniversal Studios, Harry Potter RidesThis was absolutely AMAZING! I loved the Harry Potter rides. I must tell you, this was the most unforgettable experience of my life! Be sure to take a friend, doing this alone would be less interesting, in my opinion. It is a bit pricey, but totally worth it! I'll come again! 5/5 stars.Written January 8, 2025

- Thomase770 contributionsGreat!Universal studios are great fun. There are lots of characters around the park throughout the day. The rides are great , yes there are long lines for some but to be expected at a theme park! We did the studio tour, which was again great fun but not as good as the 1st time we did it in 2019, think it was because the tour guide we had wasn’t very good… The grinchmas attraction was great!Written January 4, 2025
- 283daliaf0 contributionsAmazing visitWe truely enjoyed it we were able to go on most of the rides even with the Christmas crowds except the Mario browser challenge which was a 2 hour wait. The kids enjoyed the park very much and the universal tour is a must do!Written January 4, 2025

- Ana O0 contributionsExpected more in customer serviceWe’ve had the opportunity to visit almost all of the Universal Studios parks around the world, and unfortunately, the one in Hollywood was the only one where we experienced poor customer service. Here are two of the most frustrating situations we encountered: 1. Security issue with my daughter: My 8-year-old daughter accidentally ran out of the park, and although I was behind her, I couldn’t stop her before she crossed the exit. When we reached the security gate, the staff informed us that, according to protocol, even though our family was inside, she had to stay outside the park alone and couldn’t re-enter. I tried to explain that she was a child and it wasn’t safe for her to be left alone outside, but they strictly adhered to protocol and told me that even if she were only 3 years old, she would have to wait outside on her own. This situation was not only confusing but also concerning from a safety standpoint. 2. Elevator issue: My younger daughter fell asleep in the stroller, and we wanted to move to the Jurassic Park area, which can only be accessed via escalators or an elevator. Despite the elevator being empty, the staff told us we could not use it and insisted we wake up the baby to go down the stairs. The only option they offered was to wait 25 minutes to see if a person with a disability needed the elevator, and if so, we could use it, but only under the condition that we woke up the baby first. The lack of flexibility and consideration for young children was quite clear. In conclusion, while the park itself is beautiful, with well-maintained facilities and larger than other Universal parks I’ve visited, the customer service leaves much to be desired, especially when it comes to families with young children. The inflexible attitude and lack of empathy in these specific situations made for an experience that fell short of expectations.Written December 30, 2024
- Pioneer171027418890 contributionsFun dayIt was alot of fun. Did one day with my husband. Open to about 7:30pm. Decorations were fabulous for Christmas holidays. Long lines but it's a park so expected that. Many many characters all over the park worth out the day.Written December 30, 2024

- Pathfinder2762060 contributionsBad service, horrible place. We paid too much money for what we received. We should get our money back.My family attended universal studios today. I bought four tickets and my brother in law got four more tickets. During lunch we decided to go outside the park to have lunch and come back after with our four kids. We got the stamp upon leaving and there was no message also the gentleman didn’t say anything having our tickets to come back to the park. After lunch we returned and we couldn’t go in because we were missing my bother in-law tickets. We talked to two gentleman at the doors and they were rude. When to the guest services and more rude people and treat us like we were liars and criminals. We had four kids with stamps we received upon leaving and shows pictures of us inside earlier today with time and date and yet they didn’t believe me and treat us like criminals and liars. We drove from San Francisco and it was our first visit also was considering of getting annual passes after our experience but now I will never comeback because we spend so much money for only a few hours and we had stamps and we were not allow back into the park. Been the holidays we had the worse experience. Rude people and treat us like criminals. Not even Disney does that, Disney allows you to come back as long as you have the stamp. The worst experience. Your website does not say you need tickets and stamps to go out which is the what your team follows also no signs that mentions it and what about if I didn’t know how to read. Bad treatment and experience. We spend lots of money for a few hours and back treatment. Bad service and their team is not consistent. Never coming back. I rather go to Disney or other parks. Think twice before going outside the park to go and eat at the restaurant outside.Written December 28, 2024

The VIP Experience was awesome! Our tour guide, Donna, took us through the whole park and we loved the mix of seeing movie magic combined with our favourite movies turned into rides! And the express system was worth the price on its own…it was 40 degrees when we visited so NOT queuing for long was perfect. Lastly, having lunch in a bespoke air conditioned venue provided a nice break in the day…lots of pictures, fabulous memories….whats not to love?!?!

Amazing way to do the park- VIP tour. If you book in advance it really isn’t that much more than a skip the line ticket… and the VIP ticket comes with a light breakfast, full lunch, and bottled water. It also gets you on the Mario Kart ride skip the line while the express pass doesn’t work there.
Ramon was our guide and he was terrific. He was very interactive and gave a lot of great information. He always asked if anyone had to use the restroom and ensured our group of 12 didn’t get lost. The studio tour was the best part because we got to visit a soundstage (Quantam Leap), a props room, and walk amongst one of the outdoor sets. It was really cool. We also had premium seats for the Waterwold show which was incredible. If we wanted to sit in the wet seats we could have but it was a bit too chilly for that - and those people were getting soaked.
You could have left the tour at anytime but no one in our group did because we were seeing everything and getting on rides extremely quickly. They also gave us ponchos for the Jurassic world ride. Our tour didn’t start until 10:45 and I didn’t realize we could have checked in when the park opened and enjoyed the VIP express pass until the tour but we accomplished everything even starting when we did. But if you get a late tour time just know you can go right when the park opens and get your lanyard to explore the park.

Thank you for a raving review Kandi! We are ecstatic to know that Ramon was very attentive to your party, and that our VIP Experience really rolled out the red carpet star treatment for everyone involved. We agree that having the opportunity to visit our soundstages and prop warehouse is very cool! We are glad to know you enjoyed the experience. Thank you again for your review. We will pass your kind words about the VIP Tour and Tour Guide Ramon to our Senior Management Team. We hope to see you again soon!

We booked the VIP experience due to limited time to visit Universal and it being Christmas Day.... and we're soooo pleased we did. It was a fabulous experience and took all the stress out of the day (unlike Disneyland, which was quite stressful trying to figure things out in a large crowd as overseas travelers). Our tour guide Bobby was AMAZING!! He was funny, passionate, knowledgeable, and he exceeded our expectations to make sure that our group of 12 had the best day (we all became fast friends on his tour). Everything was so well done... breakfast and lunch sorted, a delicious butterbeer stop, a wonderful tour of the studios, helpful star ratings for ride scariness (this helped my apprehensive son become a lover of Rollercoasters and try them all for our entire trip). The queue jumping alone saved us hours in our experience, it was an absolute pleasure. We will always remember our Christmas Day 2024, and Bobby played a huge part in our experience, so we thank him wholeheartedly. If you're going to Universal.... treat yourself and book this tour!! It's well worth every penny. Even in a big crowd, you feel safe, cared for, and like you're getting the full Universal experience and not missing anything.

This was our first VIP experience, and I did my research prior to our visit and one of the highlights I was looking forward to was the gourmet lunch buffet included with our tickets, if you check it out on youtube it really looked fabulous and was a highlight, the tour started well ( our tour guide was very good), then lunch time arrived and with no heads up we were literally told we would not be having the gourmet buffet but instead was cattled off through a side door through security, and out of the park to a margaretaville restaurant. The lunch was poor, the options were very limited, burger, chicken tenders etc it wasnt the whole menu, not what i would have chosen, it was very poor and honnestly didn't taste great...we were there for the whole universal experience, not margaretaville, I would have preferred, given the option to stay in the park gone to a universal themed place to eat and enjoy the experience as the buffet was off limits. Apparently the buffet is closed down and will be out of commission for quite a while. It would have been nice to have been told, some transparency, especially when lunch was going to be the highlight for us, looking back I could have bought fast track tickets, and bought lunch in a fun themed restaurant in the park, and saved a ton of money, i bought 6 VIP tickets (around $2700 it was premium price because of half term), I did call to make my feelings known, they offered $60 worth of food vouchers (10 dollars per person) but I feel that was a bit of an insult..I am disappointed :0(

Great day out. A better way to do all the rides as the tour guide takes u straight to the front of the queue and straight on the ride. The buffet lunch at the moulin rouge restaurant was delicious and all u can eat. Breakfast pastries and coffee included at the start of the tour too
Negatives
It’s all a bit rushed but the idea is to get u all on every ride and have lunch and be done by 4pm and then u have time on your own after that. But u do have to keep up with the guide as it’s ride after ride.
If you’ve been to Universal Orlando then u may be disappointed with the rides at the park as it’s smaller and there’s far less 2 Harry Potter rides as opposed to 4 in Florida. And a watered down shorter version of The Mummy.
This is a working studio so be mindful that some areas of the studio tour may be closed off for filming. One of the main reasons my partner and I booked these VIPs was to visit and walk around the back to the future courthouse square set, it was going to be one of the highlights of our trip. On the day tho the area was all closed off as they were filming season 2 of the Ted tv show so the tour couldn’t do anywhere near it. We were GUTTED!! Not the tour guides fault at all but just unfortunate that the set happened to be in use that day.

We had read the reviews and didn't think it could be that good.
It really was. Pricey, but when you add up what you get, it isn't that bad.
Valet parking, breakfast and snacks at the VIP centre, a top class lunch, unlimited fastpass, access to areas not seen on the regular tour.... But what tops it all is your personal guide. Ours was Nick T (with another Nic talking part of the Tour) who did everything to make us feel like VIPs all day. My favourite moment was when he ushered us past all the others in the fastpass queue saying "my group coming through". He got anyone into which part of the ride they wanted, collected our visors for Mario karts (also fastpass only with the VIP), gave us information about things to look for on the rides and in the park and held our bags while on the rides.
We had smiles on our faces all day.
Will definitely do it again next time and will make sure we get Nick T again.

The VIP experience didn’t disappoint! Universal is a must do. This was a special holiday celebrating some special occasions so we decided to surprise the kids. It was also the same date as GCSE results so it was a treat our daughter’s hard work. It started with free Valet pick up and once we checked in at the VIP desk the girls were super excited. The guide we had was amazing - Owen looked after us super well, took us to the rides via express lane and held our bags whilst we were having fun. The lunch included was high quality buffet with drinks included (alcohol at extra). Water was also available at key points through the day. The studio tour experience was a great highlight made special with the VIP stops for photos at some set locations. Worth you knowing that the express lane was much better than Disney, as you can use it on all the big rides and as many times as you like. We were looked after by Owen from 9:15an and once finished with him we had 3 hours at the end of the day to go on all the rides again 👌

My teenage son and I decided at the last minute to upgrade from general admission to vip experience... Cost about $350 but with that we got a fun free breakfast buffet that was funn entertaining as characters went around chatting with us prior to our tour.. They give you groups of 14 or 15 people and you get a tour guide that takes you to everything so you don't miss anything and you could have skipped all the Lines... Without a doubt it was well worth than wait an hour or 2 in line. Without a doubt it was well worth the money rather than wait an hour or 2 in line. They also give you a free lunch and park and is included in the price of VIP

Did this tour with our 9 year old and it was awesome! Our tour guide Donald was great and enjoyed all the features. The bottled water and small pastry/fruit breakfast. We did tour at 10:30. We hit traffic but wished we would have had more time prior, so try and arrive early and use the valet parking to get it credited! We did the studio tour first, which was interesting but we had done WB the day before so it felt kinda repetitive. We were able to hit every single ride and it was 100 degrees when we went so not waiting outside was awesome. But I only remember going through one secret door, rest were just express lane. I think unless you really love back lot tours (or want to do Mario Kart ride which is why we did it) I might would only do express lane next time and save some money. Lunch was a buffet and had a ton of choices, enjoyed that break!

THE VIP IS A MUST PAY THE MONEY 💰 IT'S SO WORTH IT
We had a blast, the staff was amazing, the studio movie lot tour was so much fun and the food was delicious.
The line wait for some rides were up to 2 hours and it was 91 degrees but
we skipped to the front of the line on all the rides. The tour is about 6 hours including lunch. Try to schedule your tour in the A.M. because most of the food selections were running on low and my tour was booked at 1:45.
Having Dracula show up at our dinner table was worth the wait

What happens if we are late for our VIP tour
Written August 7, 2024
You need to inquire with VIP experience
Written August 17, 2024
My wife and I have booked the VIP tour for 11:30am. We were plannin on arriving when the park ioens and hitting some rides before our VIP tour. Can we enter the VIP lounge upon arrival to the park at the time the park opens and eat breakfast, or will we have to wait until 30 minutes prior to our 11:30am tour
Written May 14, 2024
I believe you can enter the VIP lounge anytime from when it opens, have read some reviews where people have had a later tour and got there early to get their lanyard so they could do some fast pass rides before their tour time. They were all very chilled so I would just email and ask them if you can come earlier to make use of the breakfast and park before your tour time. Whatever happens the VIP day is brilliant, enjoy!
Written May 15, 2024
We made a reservation for VIP experience at 8:30. I am wondering if we arrived at 7:00 a.m. are we gonna be able to enter Mario land and have plenty of time to do all attractions there before our tour starts?
Written April 24, 2024
Are people allowed to leave the VIP tour early? For example, if we don't want to do the last couple stops with the group?
Written January 24, 2024
Yes, you can. I booked the VIP tour solely for visiting the movie sets. We did that first and then came all the rides. I left the tour group and enjoyed the rest of the day on my own. Obviously let the tour guide know you’re disappearing.
Written January 25, 2024
Hi, me again.. I have a couple of questions..
I have read that you get breakfast and lunch included in the price, I have a pepper allergy and I am dairy intolerant, does anyone know if they cater for allergies/intolerances?
Is it best to book this on a weekend or week day? I only really want to do this to see wisteria lane and don’t want to get there to find out they are filming on there so we can’t see it (I’m not sure if that could happen, but don’t want to risk it)
Any advise you can give us deeply appreciated
Written June 4, 2023
Hi, we are looking at booking tickets for our trip over to the states.
The main reason I want to do the VIP tour is to get picture and walk around wisteria lane, I have seen some reviews that say they walked around and other reviews that say they drive through it. How can I guarantee I will get the walk through it? Do they ask at the beginning if there is anything the group wants to do and trailer it to the group? Or do you have to book a certain tour? It’s a lot of money and don’t want to be disappointed that I didn’t get to do that part as it’s the only reason I am paying that money for.

The tour guide we had asked what we were interested in specifically at the start of the tour so if it's a must they will try to make it happen. We just drove through most of the locations on the tour but that was the group's preference.

Are you able to ride the rides more than once? I wasn’t sure since we’d be with a tour guide but I really would like to be able to do so.

Yes, after the guided tour finish, your VIP badge will work as express access to any rides for the rest of the day. The guide also tell you the way to walk to your favorite ride that you want to repeat.

if I start at 12:30, do I still get the "gourmet lunch"?
Written July 19, 2022
Yes you do. That should be the first place you guys go if it's around that time (lunch). But I could be wrong. I know you will get to go the the gourmet lounge though.

The day we want to book has the earliest time at 12:45pm. Park hours are 9-9pm that day.
Can we get into the park and walk around until our tour time?

hi I am looking at booking through Viator I can choose a date but not a time .
How do you book a time slot for your tour to begin ?
Written January 11, 2020
Book directly.....if the time isn't available its because it has already been taken.
I myself after doing the VIP pass don't believe that it is worth it....save your money and just do the speed pass....you won't get on the rides any quicker doing the VIP
