We had an incredible 2 hour ride around Petra with Ahmed. He had great knowledge of the local area and the horses were incredibly well behaved and clearly looked after well. Ahmed made the ride really enjoyable and was a great way to see the area. Would recommend to anyone visiting Petra.

What an amazing tour!! We had a wonderful time with Ahmed and his colleague as we went to some hard to reach places with breathtaking views. Ahmed is very knowledgeable about the local history as it’s his family’s own history to tell. 10/10 would highly recommend!

I can highly recommend to go on a tour with Ahmed. He is a local bedouin guide with much experiance about hiking and horse riding tours and historical knowledge. If you like to enjoy some wonderful paths with not much tourists you are welcome to go on a tour with Ahmed.
I am not a very good horse rider, but that was no problem at all.
So I really enjoyed my trip!

Ahmed offers a great opportunity to get away from the buzz of the main area in Petra and view the mountainous region from high up. It was the perfect end to our day. We chose to go at 3pm, so that it wasn’t too warm. We had a mix of complete novice to an experienced rider, all of us enjoyed our hack.
Ahmed is very good with his communication and he also took amazing pictures along the way to help us remember our time.

Ahmed is an incredible tour guide. Without him the experience at Petra wouldn’t have been the same. He was very accommodating and knowledgable about the area. He is also an amazing photographer and ensured that every moment of the tour was captured. He is a kind and experienced tour guide who I highly recommend! Thank you so much for giving us a tour and making this experience unforgettable!

It’s a wonderful trip with Admad! Instead of getting a random tour guide at the entrance, which might be a scam, I highly recommend u get book a guide in advance! Admad grew up here and he loves to share the history of Petra and his family too :) he also knows the good spots to take pics with the treasury! More importantly, he won’t make u go to the shops , everything will be done as you wish ! Thanks !

The best part of our trip to Petra. Ahmed is a native to the area and knows everything about Petra. We had a great time. He showed us all around. We saw the best of Petra with him. What a great day!

My husband and I did a 2 hour horseback tour of the Petra Valley with Ahmed, via the back road. It was an amazing way to see the spectacular scenery and Ahmed gave us local information and history along the way. His English is impeccable and his horses are well looked after and he selected them to our ability. He was patient and calm and gave us advice with the horses. Neither of us are competent riders, but have some basic experience from lessons and other holidays - but we felt fine with this excursion. Ahmed is obviously a master horseman but happily stuck to our pace, and I could see that if we were more competent he would have allowed for more adventurous riding. He dropped us off at the top of the gully leading down to Petra which was great for us to get on with seeing the rest of the site. I would like to return to do the multiple-day trip with overnight camping. Highly recommended.... thanks Ahmed!

This was the best day of my life! My late afternoon horse riding tour with Ahmed was so much fun. We shared many laughs! Ahmed was so knowledgeable of the history and he talked a lot about his Bedouin culture whilst being my riding partner. Ahmed chose a good route with spectacular scenery with opportunities for long canters and faster gallops across the different terrains. We rode up to the high place of sacrifice where I got to see panoramic views above Petra's mountains. The view is out of this world and not many people pass up this way so you feel like you have Petra all to yourself. Communication was very quick and the tour was easily arranged in a matter of minutes. He was flexible about what I wanted to do during the tour which is great.
At the high place of sacrifice, we stopped off to have some mint tea in a cave with a local Bedouin family and had a great conversation. Ahmed has beautiful horses and he clearly loves them and takes really good care of them. I have ridden all over the world and this is my best riding experience so far! Do not miss this once in a lifetime experience which is off the beaten path.
