Tierra del Fuego National Park Trekking and Canoeing in Lapataia Bay

Overview
The rugged landscapes of the Tierra del Fuego National Park offer a scenic backdrop for an outdoor adventure and this tour combines two thrilling activities. Spend the morning hiking through the native Andean-Patagonian forests, enjoy incredible views along the Beagle Canal, then paddle around the lakes and rivers of Lapataia Bay on an afternoon canoeing excursion.
What to Expect

This tour is for those who want to get into the landscape and discover the wonders hidden inside Tierra del Fuego National Park. Specialized, English-speaking and personable guides will pick you up at your hotel at around 8:30 AM to take you West from Ushuaia. Once at the Park, there is an option for a three-hour-long, medium difficulty hike or a series of much shorter, low-difficulty walks where to learn a lot of about history, fauna, ecology, and the first inhabitants of this end of the world. At noon, a hot lunch cooked on site with drinks is served close to a lake. After enjoying a good meal, the second part of the day is to float downstream along rivers that flow easily into the sea at Lapataia Bay. Canoeing on inflatable rafts is very safe and offers a sense of stability that enables a relaxed experience of getting to know places otherwise impossible to access by foot or by car. After we've visited the most beautiful and relevant places in the Park, the return to your hotel is around 5:30 PM. The timing is approximate time, as between October and March schedules vary based on length of days. Also, the actual order and timing of the activities might change according to the guides’ decision.
