Small-Group Gaucho Day at a Farm in San Antonio de Areco

Select Date and Travelers
2 travelers
Enjoy a small-group tour from Buenos Aires to San Antonio de Areco and have a chance to see the pampas as you drive there. You will tour the village, visit a estancia, and see a folklore show. Your tour includes lunch, a professional and local guide and transportation.
  • Traditional Gaucho experience: horseback riding and gaucho show
  • Fun fiesta atmosphere: live music, dancing, and ‘asado’ BBQ lunch
  • Small group tour: maximum of 15 people
  • Convenient hotel pickup and round-trip transport from Buenos Aires
What to Expect
After pickup from your Buenos Aires hotel, travel to El Ombu de Areco Estancia by air-conditioned minivan and enjoy stunning views of the Argentine pampas along the way.

On arrival, follow your guide on a walking tour of San Antonio de Areco and learn why the country town is known as the ‘birthplace of the gaucho’. Continue to the ranch and saddle up for a fun horseback ride (suitable for all abilities) or horse carriage ride around the estancia.

After working up an appetite, tuck into a typical ‘asado’ barbecue, with delicious Argentine steak, salads, and dessert, accompanied by Malbec wine. While you eat, be entertained by a thrilling folklore show, including live music, folk dancing, and a dramatic horsemanship display by the gauchos.

Your tour ends back in Buenos Aires with drop-off at your hotel.
