      WILD bears!
Such a good day! Saw so many bears. Broland (spelling?) was a fantastic guide, telling us all about the wildlife and Alaska. Amazing to see a momma bear ripping up a salmon while her plump cub watches on. Highly recommend the tour. Worth it to see bears in the wild.

My First time to Zipline and Ax Throwing
We had the BEST time. And this was my first time to Zipline and Ax Throwing. Danny and Tam were very attentive and patient. Those 2 really made it special for a couple of "older" ladies and we Thank Them! Highly Recommend this place!

A great way to spend an afternoon!
We really enjoyed this experience and the beautiful scenery of the forest. Alex and Raymond made it so much fun and they are very knowledgeable and funny -- it was definitely one of the highlights of our Alaskan trip! Highly recommend -- we would do it again.

      Great ziplining experience
My fiancée and I went ziplining on this course as an excursion as part of our Norwegian Alaskan cruise. Sadott and Ray were knowledgeable, experienced, safe, and most of all FUN! They made sure we didnt miss the scenic views, showed us the best positions for speed, and helped guide an overall enjoyable experience. The vibe back at camp was also great and the entire staff was friendly and welcoming. HIGHLY recommend!

      Fun experience with great guides!
My husband and I had ziplined only a couple times before our visit here. Our guides, Sadot, Cally & Lincoln were very helpful, supportive and entertaining. It was a great experience and would recommend it to anyone while on a trip in Ketchikan.

Super fun, super fast, super cool....we will return!
Safety and fun are their primary focus! I highly recommend this tour! So great! Key note: secure personal items securely to your person as nature has a way of shaking them loose. Sean, Kraig, and the crew took great care of the pros and novices alike. Great gift and snake shop as well. Play Safe!

      Super fun and thrilling
It was a rainy day and only 3 of us which made it super fast and smooth. Lincoln and Cassie, our guides, were fun and I felt safe during the whole experience! You should definitely try it, especially on a rainy day

      Bears oh yes!
Our original tour was cancelled due to bad weather, so we decided to have a wander round Ketchikan before going back to the cruise ship. Popped into the information centre to pick up a map when we saw a sign which said 95% chance of seeing bears. What the heck we came to see bears, and this sounded like good odds. Well, they were wrong by 5% - we saw bears. Up close and personal, what an amazing experience. Our guides Reece and Liz were fantastic we were a small group of just 12 so lots of time to enjoy the fantastic sights. Great to see the salmon run and raptors too.

      Ziplining in Wilderness
5 zip lines and 1 walking suspended bridge. Plus axe throwing at end of Ziplining was nice touch.Beautiful scenery with 2 excellent guides. Zip lines are not that long. Difficulty level low.

      Outstanding staff, top-notch adventure
I did this zip line 5 years ago on an Alaskan cruise. I enjoyed it very much so I did it again August 2023. The staff is still enthusiastic very well trained very entertaining. Everybody enjoyed the event. We had a number of first timers in our group, and everyone was made to feel calm and enjoy the trip. I highly recommend it.

Great fun, views and knowledge while driving side by side up a mountain
had a great time, guided tour up to a waterfall, maybe 1 hour and down, makes a couple stops along way. Guide Reilly very knowledgeable, taught lots about the plants, trees, etc.. Had us eating the berries. Kart are nice, we had a beautiful day so didn't need the provided raincoat or overalls. Recommend bring: waterproof shoes/boots, sunglasses and gloves if cold/rainy. You will get a little dirty, nice clean port-johns available. Would definitely do again

      ATV Karts- Would Not Recommend
Our adventure kart excursion was hugely disappointing. It felt like a major waste of time and money. At over $200 a person, quite frankly, I felt ripped off. The tour consisted of a 20 minute van ride to the outfit where the driver didnt utter a word, fill out forms, get in your ATVs and then ride down a very monotonous road for 40 minutes. There was no interesting scenery on the ATV ride and frankly the ATVs themselves were boring. We stopped at one scenic look out, where I missed half of the presentation by the guides because I didn't realize they were even addressing us. Then we had a second stop where we learned a bit about different types of vegetation before heading back on the same 40 minute road to get back. I would have rather taken my time in the town of Ketchikan than shell out 1,000 for a family of 4 for this trip. Our guides were nice, but I would not recommend.

      Zipping fun in the trees
Natalie and the tall guy (I can't remember his name!) were wonderful! Safety first, fun fun fun after that. We had an older group, many first time zippers, everyone was made comfortable, we all had a great time. I recommend this attraction, first class fun. We did the exact same 5 summers ago, still top notch service and fun. DO IT! you will not regret.

This was a very good tour. I will say the price is excessive when booked through the cruise line. Just call the Excursion places and reserve direct to save $40.00 or more a person.
Disappointed no reduced fares for seniors.
Also this is the place to be in late June and early July to see the bears feast on salmon. We were too early.
Also it is better in wet weather but who can predict weather. We missed the large slugs 6-10 inches………

We booked the "Black Bear, Wild Life and Nature Walk" Tour through Princess Cruises. We were transferred to the Alaska Rainforest Sanctuary by bus and we spent a few hours walking on paths and elevated walkways. We were told what to do if we saw a bear and our guide pointed out various plants, berries, a bear den and claw marks along our walk. Seven bears appeared during our walk. The highlight of the walk was when we were all standing quietly at a spot near the river when we saw a mama bear and her three cubs walking toward us. They all walked right under our elevated platform and into the river. The cubs were adorable and it was amazing to watch them playing in the river. After we saw the bears, we were taken to the sanctuary where they have a resident bald eagle and an owl. We were also able to see a totem pole being carved. This was a great tour!

We had a great tour while we were in port on a cruise. The company picked us up at the Ward Cove terminal and we had a private tour for the 4 of us. Megan was our driver and gave us some great facts as we drove down the the Sanctuary. Amy was our tour guide and she did a great job. She was fun, informative and engaging. While on the tour we were lucky enough to see several wild eagles We stopped by the Raptor Center and got an up close look at a Bald Eagle, Red Tail Hawk and a Peregrine Falcon, while learning more about the work of the sanctuary. We ended the tour speaking with a local craftsman continuing the heritage and culture of hand carving totem poles. After the tour we had the option to return to the dock or get dropped off in town. Luanne was our return drive and was equally friendly and informative. This is a great operation run by a friendly team. Thanks to all, especially Amy!

Our guide Amy was amazing and friendly. She was patient knowledgeable and funny. This is an easy excursion prefect for the family. We saw parts, as well as banana slugs, eagles, and owls and learn about the art and traditions of making totem poles.

Beautiful are bordering parks. Didn't really see much wildlife just a few juvenile Bald Eagles and a couple of tree slugs. Tour was conducted by a seasonal student worker. (As are almost all workers in the tourist areas) She was knowledgeable and friendly but mostly just read from a script. Stopped by the totem carving area and was introduced to a native wood carver who was either having a bad day or just didn't want to talk to us. All in all, a reasonably nice experience, but I'm sure there are better attractions at this cruise stop.

Amazing. The rainforest itself was very beautiful, and the many creek at the end allowed for some truly fantastic photos. Our guide, Reese, was knowledgeable and friendly, and told us many interesting things. Aside from a few small birds, there were no animal sightings on the rainforest walk (in part due to the season), but it was so beautiful and calm that it didn't matter. The raptor center allowed us to get fairly close to a bald eagle, snowy owl, and a great horned owl (a red tailed hawk was kept inside), which made for some great photo opportunities and made up for the lack of animals in the rainforest. The totem park had several beautiful and highly detailed totems in it, and the man we talked to told us about the process of making a totem pole. It was a wonderful experience.

Alex was a great guide. He was very knowledgable and very funny (Dad jokes and pirate jokes and nature jokes). We learned about the plants and trees including the life cycle of the rainforest.
The Raptor centre was excellent - very informative and it was great to see the birds up close.
We were able to see lots of salmon in the stream. The group in front of us saw a bear catch a salmon but it was gone before we reached that point.

Our driver met us at the Rain Gauge right next to the port visitors center. We took a short ride along the coast to the Sanctuary entry. The driver answered our questions along the way to the entry. There we met our local guide, Emily. She specializes in the forest and fauna of Tongass NP. She was excellent. We saw salmon berries, blueberries, tree fungus and deer heart ground cover. She even pointed out a tree trunk bear den, bear scat and bear claw scratches that extended far up the tree. Eagles flew over our head in the forest and landed in trees nearby. When we got to the estuary, there were many eagles, most of which were in flight. No bears or eagle fishing, since we were a few weeks early of the salmon spawning. But, seeing all the eagles flying and sparring with one another was fabulous. The elevated walkway gave a great perspective. Next, we visited the Alaska Raptor Center. I was looking forward to this. It did not disappoint! We saw a red-tailed hawk, bald eagle and great horned owl up close and personal. We then headed over to the Herring Cove sawmill (shuttered) and tribesman totem carving area. What a great easy walk and educational experience. I was disappointed that it ended so soon. Overall, a great tour!

We had not signed up from this tour but the one we wanted was cancelled. The walk through the forest was interesting but you don't get the feeling of being in a wilderness. We arrived at the salmon lake which was full of dead salmon and seagulls. We were told that usually we would see bald eagles and bears. Not sure that was ever going to happen in these surroundings. We then went to the raptor centre and saw a bald eagle, peregrine falcon and owl. Whilst if was interesting to see them up close would rather have seen in the wild. We then went to the saw mill where a man told us a little about carving totem poles. The rest of our time we were left to sit or shop. The whole experience was a little underwhelming.
