We scheduled this tour as an excursion off our cruise ship and we are glad we did. Our guide, name of AJ, we very knowledgeable, funny and easy to understand. We walked through an amazing old growth rain forest. Our group was so large we split into two guides, and the other group that was bout 3 minutes behind ours saw a moma bear and two cubs, while we did not. Just luck of the draw. The Raptor sanctuary is a great opportunity to see Bald Eagles, Owls and Falcons up close and we loved the totems and watching a craftsman working on a new one.

This was a very good tour. I will say the price is excessive when booked through the cruise line. Just call the Excursion places and reserve direct to save $40.00 or more a person.
Disappointed no reduced fares for seniors.
Also this is the place to be in late June and early July to see the bears feast on salmon. We were too early.
Also it is better in wet weather but who can predict weather. We missed the large slugs 6-10 inches………

Beautiful are bordering parks. Didn't really see much wildlife just a few juvenile Bald Eagles and a couple of tree slugs. Tour was conducted by a seasonal student worker. (As are almost all workers in the tourist areas) She was knowledgeable and friendly but mostly just read from a script. Stopped by the totem carving area and was introduced to a native wood carver who was either having a bad day or just didn't want to talk to us. All in all, a reasonably nice experience, but I'm sure there are better attractions at this cruise stop.

We had a great tour while we were in port on a cruise. The company picked us up at the Ward Cove terminal and we had a private tour for the 4 of us. Megan was our driver and gave us some great facts as we drove down the the Sanctuary. Amy was our tour guide and she did a great job. She was fun, informative and engaging. While on the tour we were lucky enough to see several wild eagles We stopped by the Raptor Center and got an up close look at a Bald Eagle, Red Tail Hawk and a Peregrine Falcon, while learning more about the work of the sanctuary. We ended the tour speaking with a local craftsman continuing the heritage and culture of hand carving totem poles. After the tour we had the option to return to the dock or get dropped off in town. Luanne was our return drive and was equally friendly and informative. This is a great operation run by a friendly team. Thanks to all, especially Amy!

Our guide Amy was amazing and friendly. She was patient knowledgeable and funny. This is an easy excursion prefect for the family. We saw parts, as well as banana slugs, eagles, and owls and learn about the art and traditions of making totem poles.

We had a wonderful time on this tour, our guide, Kyle, was personable and knowledgeable. We had a million questions about the plants and trees and he was able to answer all but one. We never felt rushed and our group walked at an easy pace to ensure that everyone had time to take pictures.
We saw a few bald eagles, slugs, salmon and we were lucky enough to see a black bear.
I’d definitely go back, it’s beautiful.

We did the nature walk through the rainforest, saw the fish hatchery, estuary, bird sanctuary and totem presentation at the lumber site.
Our guide, Amy, is extremely knowledgeable as well as personable. We had a small group of 5 so it was like having a personal tour. We had a great experience!

Nice guided walk through a rainforest . Our guide knew a lot about the flora and fauna and was very enthusiastic. The experience makes you appreciate the importance of preserving nature and not depleting all of our natural resources. The tour ends in a wetlands area and fish hatchery area. Included in the tour is the chance you see 3 raptors that are injured and observe a native Alaskan who is making a totem pole.

An easy walking tour with amazing sightings of black bears from the elevated walkway. Naturalist guides Savana, Patrick, and another young woman always ensured our group's safety first. A visit to the recovery facility and meeting with rehabilitated birds was uplifting.
