What to Expect
After pickup from your central Shanghai hotel, learn about the city known as “the Venice of the East” as you travel towards Suzhou. Your first stop is the UNESCO-listed Master-of-Nets Garden, a masterpiece of Chinese garden design. Visit the ancient city wall, stroll by the Grand Canal, visit a 14th-century silk factory, and savor a delicious Chinese lunch. Hop back in your vehicle and travel to the quaint little town of Zhouzhuang, with its winding waterways and charming houses. Learn how the town’s history dates back almost 1,000 years as you cruise the canals in a traditional Chinese gondola. Finally, your guide will drop you back at your hotel.
