Be aware some of the restaurants have changed from the Tripadvisor description but it makes no difference. My wife and I from out of state attended on a Friday afternoon and were joined by 12 other people. Our guide Cynthia was simply great. Witty, warm, knowledgeable, and an all around great host. The tour says "Bites" in the name, but trust me you get more than a bite in each location. We had fried green tomatoes, biscuits, bahn mi, nuts, oysters, fried pickles, BBQ ribs, wings, praline, and beignets. Good heavens it should be called the Bienville BULGE! There is a fair amount of walking along the way to help you digest and take in the history of Mobile. We had a great time and would recommend it to anyone.Written March 15, 2025

The tour guide, Bella, was very informative and fun. We learned a lot about the food, culture and heritage of Mobile. My husband and I did this tour with another couple, and it was such a fun way to experience different restaurants and learn about some historical landmarks in downtown Mobile. Bella was our tour guide, and I cannot say enough good things about her. Not only was she very knowledgeable about different facts about Mobile, she was easy going and a delight to be around. The owner took the time to answer any questions I had about the tour and even the area where the tour was to take place. On the day of the tour we met Bella our guide for the tour. To say Bella was perfect for our group would be an understatement!!! She provided us with a wealth of information about Mobile, Mardi Gras, and our food stops. You’ll need walking shoes, dress for the weather, and prepare to be over fed. We started at Dauphin’s with not only an appetizer but also bread and Hibiscus butter. Floradita’s was a slider, plantain chips and a small dessert. The list goes on. Every stop was a small meal. Our guide always made sure we had a cup of water. Our questions about Mobile or it’s history were answered. She even took us to the Creole Fire station for some local history and to provide a break from the endless buffet. Sprinkle is an outstanding guide. She knows her town, her food and she went out of her way to make sure everyone had an enjoyable evening.

I've lived in the Mobile area my whole life, and this was a fresh and adventurous experience for me. I learned something new about my city and had a great time doing it. The food was delicious and the experience was fun. We had 12 in our group and we all laughed and enjoyed our time together. Plenty of food to eat and sample. You WILL NOT leave hungry! Tour guide was very knowledgeable, fun and engaging. I highly recommend booking this tour. I will definitely be doing another in the future!

Had a girls evening out for this tour. Everyone had an awesome time! Our tour guide was fabulous and very knowledgeable. Each place we stopped for food brought out a delicious plate or dessert for us to try. I was stuffed at the end but enjoyed every bite! I highly recommend Bienville Bites! I can not wait to book another tour!

This is a fun, evening tour for Mobile-area residents and visitors alike! You won't be disappointed! Dee was an excellent tour guide. We started at Dauphin's and saw a beautiful night view of Mobile Bay while eating an incredible bowl of gumbo. Then, we walked a mile to the Cheese Cottage (be sure to have good walking shoes on) for a delicious array of cheeses, meats, local honey, berry jam and a spiced pear. We walked back downtown and sampled and drank incredible food and drinks at several Dauphin St. restaurants. Fantastic evening! Great hospitality! A Must-Do event while in Mobile, Ala.

I have lived in Mobile for one year and all of the food was a new experience for me. We did the Old Mobile Evening on a super cold and rainy night and still had a BLAST. Our tour guide Denet was so clearly knowledgable about Mobile & you could tell she loved it even if she was not from here. Required a little bit of walking but well worth it. We were absolutely stuffed with amazing food. I was obsessed with the charcuterie board from the Cheese Cottage as well as both the cocktail & bread pudding from 5. We had 4 different alcoholic beverages which would have totaled at least $30-40 on their own for only an extra $10 charge- great deal! We had so much fun! Well worth it for Mobilians and out of towners alike!

This was one of the best food tours I have been on. The food and drink was plentiful and delicious. Our tour guide Chris, was friendly, personable and knowledgeable. We not only got to taste food from some local restaurants but also got a real feel for downton Mobile. Well worth the $ for this food tour...I highly recommend it.
