    This is a must do!
Whether you are from Mobile or visiting, I highly recommend this food tour. My husband and I did this tour with another couple, and it was such a fun way to experience different restaurants and learn about some historical landmarks in downtown Mobile. Bella was our tour guide, and I cannot say enough good things about her. Not only was she very knowledgeable about different facts about Mobile, she was easy going and a delight to be around. We will definitely do this tour again.

I had a wonderful time at the 80’s mystery tour. Our tour guide Bella was great! Would definitely recommend the food tour and plan on going again.

    Don't take the liquor package
Tour started out at Dauphins. Great stop for the views and the food. There were no drinks included at this stop. Next stop was a quick pop into the Battle House. It was fun to visit. Then we went on a pretty long walk without too much info offered by the guide. We stopped at a place where Mobile pizza pissa with sausage) was served. It was good but not sure I would choose this for my food tour. Also, no liquor. Third stop was Wenzel's Oyster House. Good choice for Mobile. Just as we were finishing up, i said to everyone, this is the third stop with no liquor. One of the other members of the group got our guide to bring me a drink just before we were leaving. It was an ok rum, sweet drink. Nothing special. Next stop was fried chicken and a rib. It was good. The drink that was offered was Kalua with cream and colored cereal bits. It was very sweet and did not go with chicken or ribs. Then we had a surprise. We stopped at the tour's headquarters where we were given moon pies and the opportunity to purchase various items. First time on a food tour that we had a shopping stop. We felt trapped because we had one more stop to make. Finally got going after a few people made purchases. We returned over the same route back to a speak easy where we had a lovely chocolate treat. The last drink was a Cuban style Cuba Libre (rum and Coke). This drink was pretty good. Overall, the tour was disappointing because of the choice of food and drinks and so little info about Mobile.

    Worthwhile Southern Food Tour
Tour guide Marissa was knowledgeable but had limited interaction with the group. The food provided on the tour was well received and worth the walk around town. The cocktail beverage provided by Ruby Slipper drink portion size was too large. I would have appreciated the tour guide mentioning that the last stop was a 10 minute walk back to the starting point.

    Lovely Intro to Mobile
Lovely tour of the great food of the Gulf Coast. We had Lee as a guide and appreciated his enthusiasm for Mobile, especially for the cathedral history (Cathedral of the Immaculate Inception). I would do this tour again!

    GREAT FOOD TOUR
I had low expectation with this adventure since I 've never been on a food tour before. However, I had a wonderful time with delicious food and great servings. ISABELLA, our tour/food guide was knowledgeable and AWESOME.

    Very Fun and Enjoyable!
I loved this little walking food tour. Our guide was very informative and we learned so much about southern cuisine. Especially loved the cheese/pimento dip! Yummy!

    Pleasant stroll in Mobile
Pleasant people, nice and knowledgeable guide, good food at some places we hadn't visited before. This was a nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Might have been more effective after sinset, but some of the venues might be crowded later. Shout out to Chris!

    Conflicted
I’m conflicted. My first food tour was in July, and that was a wonderful experience, 5/5. However, my most recent food tour felt extremely disorganized. At our first step, I was getting ready to try out the VR headset, but my tour guide stepped in and seemed to indicate that we were about to leave. What annoyed me is that we stayed there for another ten minutes after that, but she gave no indication that I would be able to stay and try out the VR. Not the biggest issue, though, and not a dealbreaker, but the rest of the tour continued to have these little bumps in the road. At our next stop, my tour guide just left us there without saying anything. Thankfully, one of the employees notified us that our group was gone. Moving forth, two of the food options that she explained we would be getting were flat-out wrong. And finally, this was just weird: I went on this tour with my boyfriend, and at one point, the guide pulled him and another woman aside to be volunteers for one of the Halloween stories she told. They ended up being “lovers” who had a love child together. Why would you ask some random person to be the fake love interest when it’s very obvious that he and I are a couple? I don’t know, but it rubbed me the wrong way. All of these things on their own wouldn’t be a big deal, but combined, it really disrupted the flow of the tour. I’m generally a pretty understanding person—I would be able to forgive a couple of mistakes, of course, but consistently experiencing these mistakes at each stop started wearing on me. I had higher expectations because of my first tour, and if this had been my first experience, I wouldn’t be able to recommend it. That being said, it wasn’t a total fail. The food was excellent, the historic information was interesting, and our tour guide was very nice. I think she could’ve planned this tour much, much better. I’m not writing off Bienville Bites as a whole by any means, just offering some constructive criticism.

    Awesome Tour
Had a girls evening out for this tour. Everyone had an awesome time! Our tour guide was fabulous and very knowledgeable. Each place we stopped for food brought out a delicious plate or dessert for us to try. I was stuffed at the end but enjoyed every bite! I highly recommend Bienville Bites! I can not wait to book another tour!

Wonderful evening of food and history!
My daughters and I took the tour last week and had a wonderful time! We enjoyed the food and also hearing the historical points about the downtown area. I would highly recommend you taking the tour.

My son and I, were lucky to have Isabella to ourselves, and we enjoyed every minute! I was amazed by the history and variety of food we were offered. The stops were top notch and I would highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a different opportunity, which is unique. The cost was worth what we received, do not eat before you arrive because you will definitely be full by the end of the tour! I will make sure to recommend this tour to family and friends visiting as far as orange Beach, because it was a quick 55 minute drive over to have some fun!

First, I wasn’t expecting so much history education during this tour, so it was like two tours rolled into one! Sprinkles is a Mobile native so she blessed us with so much local knowledge and folklore. What a treat! And everything we ate was delicious. We were so full by the end. We added the cocktails and I was worried it may be some watered down version of their cheapest drinks, but no, the 3 drinks given were their feature drinks and well done.

I love when we exceed expectations so I’m glad to hear Sprinkle did that with you! She has an amazing knowledge of our area. I think that’s the best thing about food tours, you get food, history, culture, past and present all in one tour!

The communication from the time I made the initial contact about setting up a private tour for 17 people was great. The owner took the time to answer any questions I had about the tour and even the area where the tour was to take place. On the day of the tour we met Bella our guide for the tour. To say Bella was perfect for our group would be an understatement!!! She provided us with a wealth of information about Mobile, Mardi Gras, and our food stops. Everyone in our group of 17 all agreed she was simply amazing. I would definitely recommend this tour and Bella! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from our whole group.

Wow, thank you! It was a pleasure speaking with you and being able to set up this private tour for your group. Your easy communication made that possible. I am thrilled that you enjoyed the tour, and what a perfect time to be in Mobile - during Mardi Gras! I knew Bella would be the perfect tour guide for your group, so I excited that she exceeded your expectations! Hope we can see you again for another tour in the future!

Fabulous tour by fabulous guide Lee Hanks. Lee is a Mobile native and knew so much about the city's history and rich culinary offerings. Each of our stops had terrific food and great atmosphere. We were totally stuffed at the end, so when they say come hungry believe them! Definitely recommend doing this or one of their other tours. I'm sure the other guides are good too, but if you can go with Lee you'll have a great experience.

Tour was informative and food was great. It’s no worth paying extra for the drinks as they would only give you three and one of them was tiny. Pretty much you are paying $10 per drink which is average at a regular restaurant during peak hours, it was happy hour time so definitely not worth it. I was disappointed with the amount of single use plastic use by the restaurants on this tour. Overall tour was good and it was a good way to see downtown Mobile.

Hey! Thanks for taking the time to leave a review for us and we’re glad you enjoyed our tour overall. Our drink package is $15 for three alcoholic drinks with very generous portion sizes. The value of the drink package at the restaurants on your own is $26! I just wanted to clear up how much of a deal that is to the guest. Thanks again for your feedback!

What a great way to sample the best of Mobile's downtown restaurant scene. Our group had tourists from near and far, as well as those who had just moved to the area. The guide was a true Mobile local, whose depth of knowledge and connection to the area and its history made the tour come alive. I appreciated how the tour included establishments that have been part of the Mobile landscape for decades and some newer trendier ventures. My capacity for consuming large quantities of food is limited, so I was worried that by the end I would be too stuffed and food would go to waste, but the portion sizes throughout were perfect, and you were allowed to take to go boxes if needed. A note to those who book through Trip Advisor is that there are certain add-ons that are available on the company's website that do not show up on this one. Finally, we had a one-year-old in a stroller with us, and he was welcomed by the group, the guide, and the restaurants, making for a great experience.

Our tour guide Lee was wonderful. So patient with our 11 month old. The tour itself is very well done, as a matter of fact this was our 3rd time doing the tour. Food is fantastic, we always enjoy learning new historical facts about the city and it’s a nice way to see downtown Mobile. 10/10 would recommend.

Bienville Bites Food Tour was AMAZING! I was born and raised in Port City and just booked the tour to have something to do. It was fun and informative, and the food was delicious. Our tour guide Sofia gave us the history of Mobile that we never heard before. Each restaurant stop provided excellent customer service by providing water/adult beverages on arrival and the food came out shortly after. This was money well spent. Highly recommended for date nights, friend gatherings, or a family outing. It will not disappoint. I am looking forward to trying another tour option such as brunch or the mystery dinner.
