Was trying to join a 3 day Theth-Valbona hike trip but no groups leaving at that time, so I decided to do a self guided option. Found Florian online and he was a lifesaver! The day before managed to arrange all the bookings for me and the transfers there and back to do the for a very reasonable price (much much better than other companies doing the same for some fairly outrageous amounts!). From the start communication was timely and helpful. Once booked Florian put me in touch with his colleague David and we arranged everything at the office when I arrived in Shkoder. David answered all my practical questions and encouraged me to contact him with any issues no matter how small whilst I was away. Very early the next morning David was there and made sure I got collected by the shared minibus which took me to my guesthouse. In Theth went on a long hike to the waterfall and from there to the Blue eye. Not many people were doing this in the heat (40°). There is an option if you ask around for shared taxis from Theth to the blue eye and back (€5pp each way) so you only have to do the last 1hr ascent if you don’t want to do the whole hike. But the views were stunning. Next day I did the Theth Valbona hike. Not for the faint hearted, especially on the way down on the Valbona side if you’re afraid of heights! (safe but there are some big drops if you hate heights like me!). One regret is that I didn’t take hiking sticks- would have made the descent much easier and quicker as the ground is so uneven and slippery with the shale and rocks- so top tip! David and Florian both checked in on me to make sure I completed the hikes safely, which was so appreciated as a solo traveller. They also checked on the way back and even when I drove back to Tirana! Just really great - they both obviously really care about what they do and the travellers too, and it’s not just a business or a job to either of them. Florian obviously likes helping people and he seems to have developed a niche, if you see other reviews, for last minute arrangements! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them or use the company in the future!!

We used North Albania Tours twice during our trip to Albania: we booked a transfer from Shkodër to Lake Komani and later from Teth to Shkodër. On both occasions the service was extremely professional! Communication with the company was clear and immediate. Our driver drove carefully. He was also very knowledgeable about the area and the country. Without imposing himself, time was filled with particularly interesting information. So, without exaggeration: our transfers came with a guide free of charge!

We did the 3 day hike from Theth to Valbone. Davide and Florian were great at organising the guesthouses plus transport between Shkoder and Theth and Valbone and Shkoder. We had an amazing time doing the hike and it was great to have everything coordinated for us. Communication was great and everything was easy!

We had a lovely time at Florian’s cooking class. From the moment we arrived we knew we had made a great decision. The food was absolutely delicious and we saw how everything was made from start to finish - it was also amazing to use home grown ingredients! He even took us for a tour through the vegetable garden and orchard and we got to try some fruit from the trees. The dinner was so tasty and we also had some homemade wine to accompany it. We loved our hosts!! It was a great time, highly recommend to anyone wanting to try delicious Albanian cuisine.

Booked a trip last minute due to some unforeseen travel interruptions. I went to Shala River and Komani Lake. North Albania Tours was really accommodating and flexible and allowed me to join group last minute. Pickup was easy in downtown Shkoder. The bus was air conditioned and the ride to get to the boat area was comfortable. It was a bus of about 12-15 people total so not a huge group. We were also able to stop for the bathroom. The tour guides on the boat gave us good information and it was a beautiful trip. For the boat, we met with a few more people but it was still a pretty small group of about 20. We switched boats to get to Shala River (Lumi Shales) and this was fairly easy. Upon getting to Lumi Shales, we had about 3 1/2 hours of free time. There was plenty to do there like lounge, swim, and there was a bar and bathrooms. The scenery was absolutely beautiful. We also had a nice lunch included - soup/salad and fresh fish or meat - so delicious. We headed back to Shkoder and made it by around 6:30 PM. All in all almost a 12 hour day, but for the price of 60 euros with everything included (transportation, boat trip, food), this was a great deal. I highly recommend especially as they were so flexible with me so last minute. Communication was also easy and reliable to book through WhatsApp.

Florian and all the crew were really helpful all along. The tour was amazing and was the highlight of my trip to Albania. We were so lucky with the weather and we managed to have great views of the mountains, Valbonë et Koman lake. Highly recommend it

I got really lucky to find Florian and this tour company. Florian went out of his way to organise everything for me. I took a day trip up from Shkodra to Theth and then to Blue Eye and the Waterfall of Theth with Ritvan, the driver/guide, who was just excellent. It's a rough road, you would not want to drive it. But Ritvan is a really safe driver and a very sociable kind of person with lots of local knowledge. Initially Id planned to stay up at Theth overnight, but something went wrong in the communication with my hotel and I needed to go back. Florian called Ritvan, who literally turned around, and came back to get me! Id definitely recommend North Albanian Tours to anyone in this region. Great value for money, great people you can trust and great fun!

Florian from North Albania Tours organised the koman lake ferry (including pick up service from the guesthouse), a really nice guesthouse in Valbona and luggage pick up after my hike to Theth for me. It was a great experience booking quality and professional tours from North Albania Tours. We did a guided paddle boarding tour and a cooking lesson through Florian's tour company. Florian was very responsive to our questions and the website gives good detail and has a large variety of experiences. When there was a slight misunderstanding about what a tour entailed, Florian liaised with the tour guide to ensure the details were ironed out. The paddle boarding experience was great fun and Drini our guide was very interesting and helped us to see nature and different areas on Lake Shkodra and the rivers. The cooking was fun with Florian's sister and mother, they were attentive and didn't mind our many mistakes. We also had a great time after chatting with Florian and eating the food we had helped prepare and experiencing a couple of wines that they produce on the farm.

A wonderful day. Beautiful views and helpful staff. I did the one day tour to Shala river. I recommend it. Very good price and lovely transport.

The day trip to Koman Lake organized by Florian of North Albania Tours was fabulous, everything according to plan, the great views from the boat, the grilled Trout meal with homemade wine was delicious the relaxed time at the river restaurant and the care and attention to detail was perfect. He even organised a transfer to Theth for us . It’s just a shame we didn’t have time to stay at the guesthouse.

We had an afternoon to spend in Shkodër and decided to do a private tour. Contact with Florian was excellent as he answered all questions and had an English speaking guide, Nick, meet us at our hotel when we arrived. Nick was a wonderful guide that had some interesting personal stories to share about Albania and Shkodër in particular. We visited the key attractions and museums. The tour we did was done by car and lasted around 4 hours. Would definitely recommend this tour as it can be tailored. We met Florian afterwards, and he shared some wine that his father made - was very good!

the excursion was well organised, lunch and pick up and delivery home were well organised. last part of the road to the boat a bit bumpy but was very fun and beautiful
