What to expect
After hotel pickup in Bodrum, drive until you reach the town of Mugla for a quick breakfast break.  After breakfast, continue to Pamukkale, known as 'the cotton castle' in Turkish, so named for the white minerals left on the travertine rock formations. Have time to take a dip in the natural hot spring pools that contain remnants of Roman ruins. From Pamukkale, head to Hierapolis to visit a Roman amphitheater, historical museum, and the Cleopatra pool (not included). Stop for the included lunch before visiting the nearby village of Karahayit to see 'Kirmizi Su' or red water — natural hot springs. Afterward, have dinner (included) then transfer back to your hotel where your tour ends.

15 hour excursion for 2.5 hours in Pammukale- Not worth it
Oct 2020
This trip was too long for what it offered. We made soooo many stops and only spent 2.5 hrs at Pamukkale. The last stop we made was at a leather factory, which I really felt was reach and completely unnecessary. 15 hours is a long time to spend on an excursion, and I didn't really feel like we got the full benefit. Now, if you're the type of person who loves seeing little shops and whatnot, then sure, I guess you might like this. But if you just want to get to Pamukkale and enjoy the hot springs and ancient city, I would recommend either a private tour (it's worth the extra $) or a shorter tour. Also we got back so late and the lunch at 3pm did not really tie us over until the 9pm return. And just a note, after you get picked up from your hotel, you are taken to a "waiting area," to get on a bigger bus to actually take the journey.

Poorly maintained
Aug 2020
Cleopatra's Pool is a nice touch, but its poorly maintained, filled with algae, and the bottom is too rough to walk on. At the same time, they charge too much and then don't allow you to take your own pictures..because who really wants their stupid pictures anyhow. Basically it seems all about taking money out and not putting money in.

A taste of Pamukkale
Sep 2019 • Friends
A long but enjoyable day. It is a long coach journey but you stop for breakfast (good choice of buffet, approx 20tl) the next stop was an Onyx factory which was lucky for us as our coach broke down. This was handled very well with a new coach sent to get us to Pumukkale only about 30 minutes later than planned. Pumukkale is a huge UNESCO site and probably needs a couple of days to be fully explored. Cleopatra's bath is an additional cost (approx 50tl). We were there for about 2.5 hours hence the title taste of but thoroughly enjoyed it. Due to our delay we missed the leather factory but that suited most people. Lunch was at 16.00 so everyone was starving. Food was nice with a reasonable selection, no drinks included (bottles of water on the tables could improve this experience). Our guide told us a lot about the history en route but other than that did not really interact with the group. We enjoyed our day and recommend going but be prepared for the long time on the coach and extra costs you will incur.

Long road but worth it
Aug 2019 • Friends
Long road -5 hours going-5 hours returning-in bus and then in pullman.tiring day- the pullman had flat tyre problem on the return way & we wasted more time standing on the highway in the darkness.
There the calcuim pools are good and we benefited from them and from the mud.we spend lot of time on the road and just little not enough at all time visiting the site.
They are real thiefs: advice: they asked us to pay more 60TL(12$)to go down in the thermal water pool.we did because we considered it medical and good for our bodies.but i really advise all do not spend any penny for thermal water.they ask u to pay it in advance on the pullman.but when u see by ur eyes it is nothing.water is dirty!disgusting smell of wastes!!u swim in this smell. 3 small waterfalls which u put ur body under them but there the waste smell will suffocate u!!!and finally it is not deep enough so u can not really swim & therefor ur feet & legs will always hit into the big stones/rocks which r under u & not deep.
My description is detailled & real to advise all to spend the time in the calcuim/mud pools & not in the thermal water and to not let these thieves steal ur money for what they consider thermal water!!!

Tour to Pamukale
Jul 2019 • Couples
Pamukale itself was well worth seeing but the length of the tour was horrendous. Picked up at 6am not back until 9pm. Of that time only 2.5hours spent in Pamukale. There was a breakfast break then a stop at a leather warehouse. Then we arrived in Pamukale at 12.30pm hottest time of the day. Lunch stop was good buffet style plenty of variety and included in your price. Another stop at an onyx outlet. We did not want to drive hence the tour. If you don't mind driving do this by car. It is 3.5hours drive there and you will avoid all the extra stops.

Overall a nice experience. Was nice to see pamukkale and hierapolis. That said though, the coach journey was way too long, it took us almost 6 hours to get to the final destination from bodrum.. too many breaks on the way.

Demanding and exhausting day trip but - DO NOT MISS IT!
Oct 2018 • Couples
Pamukkale were number one attraction on my "to do" list while spending 10 days vacation in Bodrum. The place itself is really mindblowing! Of course, there were some setbacks: too hot, too many people, most pools were dried .... but nevertheless it was an exceptional experience. It would be a real shame to miss this unique wonder of nature and Hierapolis, another testimony of greatness of mind and architectural capabilities of people that lived 22 centuries ago. It is UNESCO World Heritage Site for a reason!

Worth the visit but such a long day!!
Oct 2018 • Friends
We were picked up at 06.15 am from hotel in Bodrum and then taken to Torba junction to swap from the mini bus to a coach for the trip. We stopped for breakfast 30 mins and again at an Onyx factory 45 mins before arriving at Pamukkale at around 12 ish.
It was well worth the visit as it is an amazing site to see, and we had a quick dip in Clepatra's pools but didn't have enough time really to see all of Heiropolis as back on coach for 15.30. We then stopped for lunch at 15.45 for 30 mins and then stopped again at breakfast place for a toilet stop and refreshments before heading back to Torba junction to swap to mini bus again. We got back to our hotel 21.15 making it a 15 hour day!! We hand idea we were stopping at the factory on the way and felt it was a complete waste of time as no one seem interested or willing to buy anything as the staff followed you around the place which put us off buying anything and we would of rather of had the extra 45 mins at Pamukkale. It is for this reason that I have only given it 4 stars and not 5 and if we went again we would hire a car, get up later have breakfast at the hotel and then set off as we would still beat the coach there and have more time to see all of the area.

Great to explore human history
Aug 2018 • Couples
We visited Pamaukkale in Aug, it is hot but really worthy. We seated from Bodrum and took us 4 hours to reach the city, on the way you can see so many beautiful small towns and beautiful scenes.
Pamukkale it self is a so so beautiful, you can take a bath in Cleopatra pool, it is an amazing experience. It is a must see place.
