About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- rowenap8090 contributionsWonderful experience visiting Banaue and SagadaMy husband and I did a customized tour of Banaue and Sagada organized by Yolo. Our driver, Pedro, and Yolo guide, Kenji, were attentive to our needs including my husband’s food allergies. Kenji modified our activities to accommodate our request to learn more about the history of these areas by adding visits to museums. Yolo connected us with local guides in Banaue (Jun and Abner), and in Sagada (Rex). The local guides were knowledgeable and made sure we were safe. Yolo also arranged our lodging. The sites we visited were beautiful. Most importantly, we appreciated the hospitality and care we received from the people we met.Written November 27, 2024
- davidgB6729AS0 contributionsAmazing Tour - Highly Recommend!!This was a great day trip with such an amazing tour guide. Kenji not only made us feel welcome, but gave us some great experiences throughout the day. Aside from the amazing trip to the fishing village, we got to try some of the local foods along the way and really got to see more of what the Philippines had to offer! Highly Recommend!!Written November 27, 2024
- dr_von_Duell0 contributionsGreat trip with spectacular sceneryI had a great afternoon with Mark (guide) and Kyle (driver) going up on the mountain overlooking the volcano lake. On the way up, we stopped at several places to taste local fruit and delicacies. We explored a local wet market as well. Mark was very knowledgeable and keen to explain Philippines culture and history. Kyle's driving was impressive in the sometimes hectic traffic. Highly recommended!Written November 26, 2024
- Aiyaz M0 contributionsMore timeIt was said to be 8 to 10 hrs. We started at 7.30 am and was dropped of at 2.30 pm. So 7 hrs. We could have spent more time at Tagayta. Besides that,it was greatWritten November 25, 2024
- Aaron A0 contributionsThe pictures don't do it justice. Honestly just buy it rose was amazing and made we got to explore the water and local markets.Rose and Malone were awesome. They gave us a history lesson and an adventure. Form the drive to the destination there wasn't a dull moment. Got to really learn about the beautiful culture and became good friend in the process. Went to some markets and even got to see the food they purchased for us to eat on the boat. Got to meet some locals and do some gift shopping. Then when we arrived we got on the boat and we're taken to 3 destinations. Got into the water and explored the area. Water was crystal clear and full of life. When we got back into the boat we had food prepared for us from chicken to fish and corn and rice with some soft drinks. Then did more exploring and got to meet locals on the water. Will definitely do this again the next time I come to the PhilippinesWritten November 21, 2024
- darze20240 contributionsBest Tour Ever! Kenjie is the best! This review is way overdue! The tour was amazing, and we got to learn so much about the beautiful Philippines. We even rode a jeepney and saw an active volcano up close—such an awesome experience. But honestly, the real highlight was our tour guide, Kenji. Hands down the best guide I've ever had! He knew so much and had the best sense of humor. If you're thinking about booking this tour, make sure to ask for Kenji as your guide. You’ll love it!Written November 18, 2024
- Tyler H0 contributionsBook it! Great company and GuidesCommunication is excellent with the company and the guides. We had Kenji, Kyle, and Mark. All three were super polite, professional, and fun! Kyle drove the van and was very safe and smooth. Kenji and Mark (in training) both were knowledgeable and personable. We had some great laughs! The tour itself is filled with history, beautiful surroundings, and adventure. Book this tour with the excellent guides!Written November 13, 2024

Through YOLO, we booked the tour: The Countryside. Our guides were Sean and Einstein and our driver was Mario. What an amazing crew! All 3 shared facts and stories about the events throughout the day. This was truly a 'group' experience where all (guests and guides) were actively engaged and participating. Felt like 'family'. The day was well organized and went smoothly to plan. We all enjoyed Buko pie together, tasting fruits and foods in a local market, viewing a small pineapple plantation, visiting People’s Park in the Sky, a short jeepney ride up the hill, seeing the chapel and eating lunch. We ate lunch outside near Lake Taal and sat in a small typical house/hut made from Nipo palm. Sean explained what the lunch choices were (many local dishes). We learned much about the local active volcano and the recent eruption in 2020. We even stopped at a local volcano observatory and talked with someone who worked there about their monitoring systems - so interesting. We enjoyed the vast variety of scenery throughout the day - love being out in nature! Rode a local boat on Lake Taal which is surrounding an active volcano and the volcano has another lake inside the caldera. The boat ride allowed us to support locals as well as see closer the volcano, fish farms and many birds. What an amazing day of sights, sounds and tastes! We learned so much about local culture today.

Our tour guides for our Active Taal Volcano were Eddy and Fraj, along with driver Loonie.
Loonie has many years experience with Yolo Travel and certainly knew his way round Manila and Taal. He was a professional and friendly driver. We felt safe knowing he was driving.
Fraj was also very professional and friendly. She very knowledgable and always willing to take photos for my partner and I.
Eddy was a beam of sunshine. For someone that has been with Yolo Travel for only 4 months, I thought he had been there for four years! His vast knowledge of Filipino history and culture is very evident. He showed alot of passion every time he told stories and shared information along the tour. His bubbly and friendly personality made it that little extra special!
Peoples Park in the Sky was a bit of hit and miss due to the clouds rolling in and out. But that's nature and can't be helped. But when the clouds did clear the view was AMAZING! My partner also got to ride his first Jeepney!
The Taal Lake via boat ride was spectacular! It was a great way to explore especially after seeing it from a distance from Peoples' Park in the Sky.
We were even more greatful that we could add an extra option to our tour on the day, and were very glad we did as we got to discover more hidden gems around the beautiful Taal area and Batangas Province.
Thank you Loonie, Fraj and Eddy for a very memorable day!

We would like to say a huge thank you to Mark, ably supported by Kyle and Tonz for a wonderful day trip to the Taal Volcano an hour or so from Manila. From the moment we were collected from the hotel the smile never left Mark’s face.
I also couldn’t believe how much that young man knows and how easily he shared with us and kept the day flowing in an unhurried and very comfortable way. We had a couple of stops enroute at the same time learning about the way of life in the country and the way that lifestyle is changing , we stopped off in a newly developed Ayala town which seemed to be modelled in a style adopted by the French in having everything needed for daily life , work , shops and entertainment within a short hop from your home. It was really fun to eat Buko Pie (a local coconut specialty similar to mama's apple pie), that we ate hot outside the bakery that it had been baked in.
The day was filled with fun and laughter and of course we had the main event of a boat trip out to see the active volcano passing through beautiful terrain with a spectacular mountain viewing and then a ride in a local fishing canoe getting up close and personal to the volcano followed by a healthy lunch of tilapia caught in the lake.
It was clear to see that Mark loved looking after us for the day , thank you spoiling us so well on a wonderful day.
Cheers

What a fantastic tour. Eddy our guide was amazing and was able to cater everything to what our interests were and Marlon our driver was very flexible and accommodating. We were able to sample many yummy local delights and Eddy was very happy to share his culture and knowledge with us.
Definitely a tour to choose to experience the food and amazing view of the Taal volcano up close.
So many things to see and do from koi feeding, visiting a pineapple plantation, eating buko pie, riding a jeepney, getting up close to the active volcano in a boat and eating a local lunch on the shore of the lake.
Thank you for sharing this with me!

Amazing experience, the Taal Volcano Experience surpassed our expectations. Mark, the guide, knew the best places to stop and highlight Filipino culture and food along the way to the stated destinations on the itinerary. The van ride was nicely broken up into smaller segments so it didn't seem like you were in the van for too long. Pedro was an excellent driver. He did his best to make the dropoffs as convenient as possible for the group. I would book another tour through YOLO in a heartbeat, might try to fit one in before we have to depart.

I booked the tour in the middle of October. The organization of the trip by the team, Sean, Wallen and driver Loonie was perfect. The pickup from the hotel was on time, the small stops in between were very interesting. My extra request, a stop at a regional market, was no problem for the team. The boat ride was beautiful. I would recommend the tour to others.
Only the weather, especially the view, could have been a little better. But on it the team has no influence.

A wonderful and happy experience. It was a last minute booking request and we could get the seats. The payments was hassle free and without any problems
The tour guides Sean and Yves were one of the best guides we had in many many trips in last few years. Both were very charming, informative and looked after the visitors in a very professional manner. Sean kept us informed about the pickup time from the previous day and on the day of arrival. They were prompt in picking us up and did a wonderful job all through the trip till the end. Special thanks to trip driver Rhed who did an excellent job
Yolo Trips and their Guides Sean and Yves are highly recommended when you are looking for trips from Manila

I had the most amazing trip with tour guides Gerald, Justine, and Kenji and our driver Adriane. They were all very friendly and knowledgeable and we managed to do a lot in a single day. The trip included time on Taal lake on a boat as well as a wonderful walk up to a beautiful waterfall. We also did some cultural stuff by visiting a cave church. All in all I would highly recommend it!

This was the most fun guided tour I’ve been on, EVER! Despite the average visibility our tour guide Eddy and driver Marlo made the day fun. Eddy was knowledgeable about all things Phillipines and Marlo drove superbly in the Manila traffic. The stops at various traditional vendors - to taste Filipino specialty and fruit was a great way to break the journey and see the ever changing landscape. The Taal lake boat trip was very interesting and a unique way to travel on water. Shame about the visibility but that’s beyond anyone’s control. For a fun guide I would definitely recommend Eddy. You will laugh and you will learn!!

It is a good day of fun and we visited several places to experience local Tagatay and viewing points of the Taal volcano. Boat ride brings you onto the lake and up close to Daang Kastila.
Tour guide-Seana was excellent in coordinating with us on a couple of pick-up points and very punctual and organised throughout. We learned about the local culture from Seana and through experiencing some of the local foods and places. Seana was attentive to our requests and very professional. We were, of course, in the safe hands of our driver-John. Thank you Seana and John!
