Kevin was a fun and very knowledgeable guide. We ate at places we never would have found on our own and tried several new and delicious dishes and drinks. We would highly recommend doing this tour at the start of your stay in Osaka.

The tour was great up until the whale meat. That entire industry is just so morally and ethically disgusting. I understand and was told I didn't have to eat it (although the couple that was with me seemed on the fence about it until the guide pushed a "while in Rome" cliche). But I just felt wrong sitting in that place, and knowing that my money is going to support any part of that industry. It's hours after the tour, and I still can't shake the negative feelings. I honestly would not have booked this tour if I knew whale meat would be purchased with my money.

This food tour was a great experience. The food was delicious and our tour guide Mico was absolutely fantastic. Due to the time difference between Japan and the US, my fiancé and I got the dates mixed up and almost missed our scheduled tour but the company was so attentive and accommodating that they reached out when they noticed we didn’t arrive on time and provided us with a location to catch up to the group. Once we arrived, we were able to meet up with Mico and he went above and beyond to provide us with an outstanding experience. His knowledge of the food, the locations, and the culture really made us appreciate Osaka in an authentic and meaningful way. As an added bonus, Mico’s mixed heritage was similar to that of my fiancé’s and mine which really helped us connect on a deeper level. We met some great people on the tour as well which made the experience that much better. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Osaka for the first time and even more so recommend that you request Mico as your guide.

Fantastic food and got to try some truly local places that the average tourists would never go to. Our guide was also very funny and the overall experience was worth it for sure.

My husband and I went on the Osaka Food Tour and had a great time! We are American and some of our anxiety in travelling to Japan was knowing what food to get where. This tour hooked us up! We went to 5 awesome places and had so much food! The gyoza was my personal favorite. We also had a great time getting to know our tour guides and the others on the tour with us. It was such a great way to get oriented to Osaka and have a fun night out. Also, the surprise dessert at the end was hilarious :).

This is a must do tour if you are in Osaka! Not kidding highlight of our time in the city, you must do this and book in advance to get the date you want because it will fill up fast. Every place we visited was better then the last and we got along with everyone on the tour so well! Not to deter anyone but only book if you are willing to try new food and be in a good mood, this is not the time to be picky and cause a fuss, it will ruin the vibe for everyone and the people who sign up for this tour want to have a good time with new people eating and drinking new things. Book now if you want to have a great night in Osaka with a full belly!

Fantastic afternoon with Michael touring Kuromon Market. We tried delicious food - a lot of which we wouldn’t have by ourselves - and learned a lot about the food, the market and surrounding area. Michael was a great guide and very responsive to our interest in the area, providing a lot of info and insights we would not have otherwise known. If you’re not familiar with the food or the area or Osaka more generally, I thoroughly recommend this tour.

Dominic and Milo were amazing! They answered questions well and had good expertise in the area. We saw a lot of the downtown and learned a lot of 19th and 20th century history. Tried some of their food recommendations afterward, which were delish. Appreciated their recs for Kyoto and beyond.

I had a great time in Osaka and did the group tour option as a solo traveler. It was myself and one other group of 3 people. I’m staying outside of Osaka so it was a very good way to see the city and get a lot of recommendations on places to go and things to try. Throughout the tour, our guide was constantly telling us restaurants to try, places to see, and additional things to do which was great! Definitely schedule a tour at the beginning of your trip so you can take advantage of this! I appreciate learning about all the fun facts and being able to ask about cultural / societal norms. Our guide did a great job explaining every question asked and more! The tour was really customizable and the guide never ran out of options! He also went out of his way to take photos of us if we wanted which was a bonus 🙂
