Brilliant evening exploring Moscow!
Dec 2020
My friends and I recently enjoyed a fantastic evening touring Moscow by hosted Olga and Anna! Lots of laughs and fun while learning about traditions and history of Moscow. Highly recommend this tour if you're looking for a low key and fun way to spend time with friends and family virtually.

Online Virtual Tour of Moscow - An absolutely brilliant experience!
Dec 2020
This is a superb experience - an online virtual tour of Moscow. It is absolutely perfect for work parties and groups of friends.

In advance, Anna and Olga send you a short shopping list (the most important thing is the Russian vodka, of course) and a link. At the time of your tour, you click on the link and suddenly you find yourself in Moscow...

Using their brilliant 3-D technology, Anna and Olga then show you some of the highlights of Moscow - including Red Square, St Basil's, GUM and many more. Along the way, you will be told interesting stories and facts about this beautiful and exciting city. The whole experience lasts about 1 hour.

You will also be told how to drink vodka like a true Russian - and there are plenty of chances along the way to have a toast or two...

We were a group of 15 work friends and every single one of us thought it was amazing. It is a shame that we cannot travel at the moment - or have any parties - so this is a great way to combine the two - all without leaving the comfort of your home.

Thoroughly recommended.

"Moscow Walking Tour Through the Eyes of Locals" with Alexandra
Sep 2020
We've been on the tour "Moscow Walking Tour Through the Eyes of Locals" with Alexandra. It was a truly unique experience. Societ-style Georgian tavern (cheburechnaja), 1st McDonald's, moving buildings - I've never heard about these before. And Alexandra is easygoing and interesting to talk to, she has many fascinating stories to tell. But don't believe me - try it out yourself, you won't regret)

Amazing 4-week trip across Russia
Sep 2019
One of the best tours I've ever taken! We travelled for 4 weeks from St Petersburg, up to Karelia, down to Moscow, and out to Irkutsk in Aug/Sep 2019. The guides were amazing - personable, knowledgeable, fun, willing to tailor, and had excellent language skills. The itinerary was *really* well-planned with a thoughtful rhythm of city, then wilderness, then train, then city, then Trans Siberian Railway out to Irkutsk - with stops in between (including a visit to a social enterprise). The ExploRussia team was helpful both during planning and once we were in-country. All logistics went smoothly with all transfers, hotels, transport, meals, payment, etc. We particularly appreciated the home-cooked meal, the sampling of local foods, the nature walks, the different personalities of the guides, and the visits to off-the-beaten-track sights. I cannot speak highly enough of the responsiveness, availability, customisation, quality, handling of logistics, sustainability-focus, friendliness and integrity of the ExploRussia team. Many thanks to every single one of our guides: Nastya, Oksana, Yulia, Ksenia, Elena, Elena, Roza, Guzel, Evgeniy, Olga, Mikhail, and Nastya. I can highly recommend ExploRussia! (xoxo, from Kristine & Brian)

ExploRussia Rocks!
Jul 2019
We searched online for a tour company that would customize a tour to our specific needs -- Moscow & Saint Petersburg and Kostroma to visit our son's former orphanage. We are so thrilled to have found ExploRussia. They were awesome to work with (shout out to Kate and Alina) from the planning through the entirety of our trip. My husband, 2 sons (21 & 14), and I had a wonderful time. We did the Walking Tour of Moscow, the Metro Tour, and the tour of Victory Park with Elena. She was so nice and just a fountain of information. We saw the big, iconic sights around Moscow and other cool sights that only a local would know. It was like having an old friend show you around the city that they know and love. Elena also accompanied us to Kostroma. ExploRussia worked out all of the details of the visit with the orphanage, which was way above and beyond anything that other tour companies would do.

In Saint Petersburg we toured the Winter Palace, the Summer Palace, and did a walking tour of the city with Larisa. She was so knowledgeable and accommodating to our needs.

We would definitely travel with ExploRussia again and would highly recommend them to anyone else!

Great tour with a true local
Aug 2019
Daya showed us Moscow in a way that we could never have otherwise seen. We were the only 2 that day, so it was a really special tour. We visited the main sites in the centre and Red Square but did not spend too much time on these, go there on a typical tourist tour any day. Instead we had the rare opportunity to visit places where only the locals gather, an historic underground eatery, a very private café, a most spectacular historic grocery store. She took lots of photos and emailed them to us after, and provided very useful links to information .

Unforgettable Experience with ExploRussia
Jul 2019 • Friends
ExploRussia managed our trip for us entirely. Kate and Maria were our contacts for the planning of the trip. As the whole tour was organised as a package, everything was taken care of by them. The guides were all fantastic, the cars that arrived for travel were spacious and very clean with pleasant drivers, all entrance fees and local transport taken care of. Daily outings were organised so well that we were picked up on time and ended the day with time to spare for our own leisure.
This was such a positive experience for us that we would like to come back again with ExploRussia.
MOSCOW
Our guide in Moscow, Tanya was friendly, fun-loving, knowledgeable and made our trip memorable. Tanya gave us insight into Russian History and Architecture. She took us through some of the most beautiful metro stations in Moscow giving us their history and architecture. Our off the beaten path walk through the park in Kolomenskoye with Tanya was fun. The day trip to Vladmir was very enjoyable as it is the father of most Russian cities and its history is both fascinating and dramatic. Tanya introduced us to Russian, Georgian cuisines and Russian drinks Mors, Medovukha and Kvass.
Aalina gave us a tour of the Red Square and Kremlin, which was very informative. Our time spent with Aalina was only half a day and she was a very pleasant and knowledgeable person.

SAINT PETERSBURG
Lisa, our tour guide for the next three days in Saint Petersburg was equally good and knowledgeable. Lisa took us to Paul and Peter Fortress, the Hermitage Museum, Peterhof, Pushkin and around landmarks of Saint Petersburg. In Pushkin, Lisa introduced us to Russian style pies – sweet and savoury, which were very tasty.
Our last day was with Oksana who took us around the Islands of Saint Petersburg – Kamenny, Aptekasrsky, Yelagin and Vasilevsky islands which was a beautiful experience – different from the mainland. Oksana was friendly and fun to be with and very informative.
