About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Traveler4467590 contributionsWorst experience! It was a horrible experience and none of the tour description was offered. First, the canoe had motor problems and stopped in the middle of the ocean three times arriving at the sailboat one hour later, 10:00 AM. Second the sailboat/catamaran was not the one in the picture. It was an old and dirty sailboat for a maximum of four people. The captain told us that he was not going to move the sailboat, and we just seat on a very small area for two hours. I contacted the travel agency agent, Jeny, and told her the problems encountered and she did not do anything. We were taken via a very old and small dingy boat to Isla Grande to swim in the beach for 10 minutes and then to have lunch. Back to the sailboat in the dingy. Finaly, the captain moved the sailboat for 15 minutes to Isla Perro Chico and we were taken to the beach in the dingy. Less than 10 minutes later, the canoe came to pick up us to take us to the mainland. We were not able to do any snorkeling, swim at the beach or island hoping. We expend the majority of the time traveling in the canoe. Everything was a big lie. And for a price of $730 for two people!!!Written December 4, 2024
- T8153ZDjessicac0 contributionsExcellent experienceThis adventure was incredible. Captain Juan David knows his way around driving the catamaran and dinghy. Spent time floating in the beautiful lagoon and exploring the beach before a delicious lunch. Captain and Jenny were friendly, informative and welcoming.Written October 29, 2024
- 966tizianaj0 contributionsWonderful experienceWe spend a beautiful day in San Blas. On the islands we met some Kunas, local people, selling some handcrafts and molas. Lunch was freshly made with local ingredients. Although a long day, but very happy we took the tour.Written September 14, 2024
- 883duanep0 contributionsFantastic Family DayOur family had a fantastic time snorkeling, swimming, and playing in the Blue Veins and corral reefs. The captain and crew were very accommodating to all of our request. This excursion was one of the best day trips we did while vacationing in Panama. Highly recommend!Written August 20, 2024
- goldyb5560 contributionsHIGHLY RECOMMENDThe trip was awesome from beginning to end. It is highly recommended for all and it is all worth it!! Beautiful waters and views!Written August 5, 2024
- 847mitchi0 contributionsTerrific time! This tour was fantastic! We were picked up promptly on time from our hotel and driven to the drop off point. We took the boat out to the catamaran and had a terrific time! Folks were friendly, food was delicious, and the atmosphere was amazing I highly recommend this!Written July 30, 2024
- ritatD792EK0 contributionsBest Tour Ever! The tour was very well organized. The driver arrived on time. Jenny was very helpful and informative about the tour and the history info part of the tour. I really enjoyed it. It was worth every penny spent and more. This one I will do again when I return.Written May 26, 2024
- rebdovdl0 contributionsGreat Beach DayWonderful beach trip with beautiful boat ride. Great beach and snorkeling. Just be aware it's a two hour van ride from Panama City. Jenny was a lovely and knowledgeable guide.Written May 26, 2024
- L2155PQbarrym0 contributionsBoat charter off the beaten pathboat trip and crew were excellent. also were happy that there were only 3 people on trip and they still went when most other tours would have canceled. the 2 stops were great too. would definitely recommend as low key over large party charter.Written April 17, 2024
- rollandh7300 contributionsFun sailing experienceIt was a relaxing trip and the captain Diego was super cool with a ton of sailing experience. The only thing is that I wish I had stayed longer and done the multi-night trip instead of the day trip, since the drive there and back takes a long time.Written March 29, 2024
- rwR8992TG0 contributionsExceptional service and memorable experienceThe tour operator and her team went above and beyond to accommodate us. The driver not only picked us up from the hotel but also stopped at a nearby eatery for us to grab some coffee and breakfast before the excursion. The motorboat and catamaran operators were punctual, courteous, and professional, making it a wonderful day on the Caribbean.Written March 21, 2024
- aleisag20240 contributionsEveryone is very niceHad a lot of fun. Jenny was very helpful in planning the experience. Saw many beautiful sights in Panama. I am severely sunburnt tho :(, so make sure you pack some sunscreen!Written March 13, 2024

- claytonr9690 contributionsFun but has its downsides.Car ride is four of your 10 hours. You get to the dock and the ruins are beside it. You get 5 minutes to see them and it’s not that exciting. The boat was cool and fun. The captain and second hand were great and helpful. The first stop was cool. Nothing fancy or exotic. Just get to swim in clear water and hangout. The second stop wasn’t that great. It consisted of a rocky beach and vendors making you pay for the chairs. Better to just swim and hang on the net in the boat and relax. The food was good and he worked on it for awhile and brings it to you. Then it’s back to the dock. All in all it’s kind of what you expect for the area. It’s nothing crazy cool but we did have a good time. Definitely bring your own disposable cooler with drinks and snacks.Written February 24, 2024
- X4410AXdavep0 contributionsLong drive but great day on the boatI enjoyed the boat and crew very much The drive to the boat was ocean to ocean far! 1.5 hours. Make sure you take photos of you passport without that your not getting into the national park it is a huge dealWritten February 11, 2024

The San Blas islands are beautiful and a worthwhile destination. Culturally interesting. Being on board, with the gentle sway of the boat, the hammock, watching the sunset, getting amazing pictures was wonderful.
I recommend that you bring your own water to drink and other beverages and snacks if you want any, a beach towel, and your own snorkeling equipment. Donate it when you leave because the boat's snorkeling gear was terrible and only one that included a connector between mask and snorkel. The fins did not fit and one was pulled off by the current, becoming a challenge to put back on in the current. Don't expect to sail each day. Island hopping is by dingy. It is customary to pay $2 to walk around each island. Be very clear about what is covered and that you have clear instructions about the transportation process from hotel, to port, to boat. I received no instructions other than the pick up time, not even the name of the boat, and it left me feeling uncertain. You get dropped off at the port and wait until the boats/ferries come to pick you up. When they asked me the boat's name, I didn't know because I was not told. I was the first guest with this captain and it was not well planned. Food was limited, and always fried. Water and tea were available beverages. Desalinater was broken and water use very limited. The boat could use some deep cleaning and loving care. I was charged $836 and the all inclusive price listed was $700. I waited for 3 days before confirmation and my card was charged. Would I do it again? I would return but book with another company. I would not have gone if I knew I was the first guest with this captain/host) It was disorganized and poorly executed by the company.

Hi Katherine. Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately the transportation is always organised by Kunas, and to enter San Blas you need to go through them, regardless of the company, and that’s the only way to do it if you don’t take private transportation. As for the charge 700$ is without transportation from Panama City and 800$ with transportation from Panama City. As for the name of the boat and captain, you were informed, but I assumed you disregarded the information I sent.

Fantastic experience to sail the amazing bounty islands of the San Blas and after relax in the bay with Fabrizio on his Grand Soleil 39. Friendly atmosphere and wonderful culinairy experience with fresh fish and lobster. We enjoyed every minute. The transfer back and for to Panama is a bumpy and uncomfortable ride on a noisy boat and with a craze 4x4 driver.... but it is worth the beauty of the San Blas

The Place - I traveled during low season, but there was plenty of sunshine and very little rain as I learned this archipelago has its own micro-climate. The water was absolutely stunning and crystal clear on a sunny day. Unfortunately, there was not enough and to sail around during the day, but would come back again in high season to explore more of the islands. It was a journey from Panama City as you have to traverse some rough roads and winding hills in a 4x4 and the another speedboat to get to my final destination. But in the end, San Blas was absolutely worth the visit.
The People- Jenny was a great help with all aspects of getting to and from the sailboat and was on hand via WhatsApp to answer any questions I had. My driver Luis was prompt for pick up and I could tell had lots of experience on the route going to San Blas. Finally Captain Nico made my experience memorable and was a wonderful host. He made sure I had anything I needed or wanted from food to activities. He also made a delicious paella with fresh lobster caught by the the local indigenous people known as the Kuna. The Kuna were such friendly people and it was nice to have a chance to interact with them and learn about their history and life on the islands.
The Things- There is plenty to do or not do depending on your tastes, but I got to enjoy swimming to and around the islands, seeing sting rays, snorkel, watch beautiful sunrises and stars/moon on a clear night, nap on an island hammock and have drinks/ play games with locals and other travelers. I stayed on a classic wooden boat and as a solo traveler didn’t feel like space was ever an issue.
Overall my experience was magical and gave me a chance to really enjoy the simple but wonderful things San Blas had to offer! Would love to come back :)
