L'Atelier Madada Moroccan Cooking Workshop
From US$57.69
Overview
Moroccan cuisine is known for its delicious tagines, fragrant cous cous, and unique spice blends. This cooking workshop offers a hands-on culinary experience, as you shop for ingredients at the spice souks, learn to make traditional Moroccan dishes, then sit down to enjoy a 2-course homemade lunch, followed by Moroccan mint tea and pastries.
What to Expect
On entering the ancient medina, in an area formerly know for it's warehouses, holding stock en-route through the famous port of Essaouira, linking the caravannes of Africa to Europe, L 'Atelier Madada's industrial chic interior sits harmoniously within the arches and high ceiling of this former almond warehouse, perfect for hosting our daily Moroccan cookery classes or organising customised events for our clients.
In a friendly and informal atmosphere, the secrets of Moroccan cuisine are explored and supervised by our professional team, a Moroccan chef and a host to be able to deliver the classes in English, French and Arabic.
Daily Classes.
Monday-Saturday 10.30-15.00
Price: 500 dh
Learn to prepare a full traditional meal, the choice of menu from a selection of dishes, emphasising on local, seasonal produce from the souks and port, using techniques you can re-create, bringing a small piece of Morocco home with you.
The class will visit the famous spice souks and learn about the history of these intoxicating ingredients before returning to dine on the dish you have created in our salon.
Part-time classes
2 classes per week 15.30-17.30
Price:220 dh
