Your Cappadocia tour begins with a front-door pickup at your hotel. Settle back for a scenic and comfortable ride through the Turkish countryside as you head to the hot-air balloon office, where you enjoy a delicious breakfast spread. From there, move to the nearby launch field to watch your 100-foot-tall balloon fill with air. Board the basket and feel the balloon lift as the distance between you and the Earth increases. Soon, you have a bird’s-eye view of the incredible lunar landscapes, stone-cut churches, volcanic spires, and multicolored “fairy chimneys” that make up Cappadocia. As you reach the cruising level of 1,000 feet, your pilot gives you information on the unique geological history of the region, which has been inhabited since ancient times. You even spot the old volcano that helped create this otherworldly scenery. After your ride receive a silver or gold medal as a souvenir of your flight. You can choose between a 20-person balloon ride, or upgrade to a longer flight with a maximum of 12 people to enjoy a more intimate experience.

    The Cappadocia region of Turkey is the perfect location for a hot-air balloon flight. After complimentary pickup from your hotel by comfortable, air-conditioned minivan, take in views of the Turkish countryside as you head to the hot-air balloon office, where you’ll enjoy a complimentary light breakfast of fruit, sandwich, cold and hot drinks. Head to the nearby launch field and watch as your 100-foot tall (30-meter) hot-air balloon is inflated before boarding the balloon basket with your experienced pilot. Then, up you go! As you fly through the Cappadocia valleys, take a close look at the rock formations and listen to your pilot's interesting commentary about Cappadocia's history and geological formations. See churches and houses carved into the rocks as the balloon climbs approximately 1,000 feet (300 meters). You would be presented with Royal Medal after flight. Royal Queen basket size is max. 20 people and Royal King basket size max. 12 people.

We had a 2 day cancellation (weather) when booked with an other agency and although it was impossible to find new spots with any agency in Goreme, they managed to do it! As for the flight itself, it was an amazing experience made possible by our pilot Ahmet and his crew. Ahmet not only made our flight very smooth and explained everything, but also made available for us (for a small fee) his flight footage from his Insta360 camera. And also was persistent enough to make sure that we all received correctly the footage through internet, for many days after the event. The gold medals and the champagne was a nice bonus at the end of the trip.

High Flying with Royal Balloons!

The balloon ride itself was unbelievable breathtaking. Royal Balloon did a wonderful job creating this experience. They communicated well and when the day arrived the pickup, breakfast, ride and drop off created no stress at all. My balloon pilot, Ahmet, was very experienced creating a smooth ride. He was fun to chat with and showed us the mechanics of flying which was really neat! He also pointed out all the different points of interest along the way! I would happily fly with Ahmet and Royal Balloons again! I also highly recommend the 8 person balloon, for just a little extra you get a more intimate experience and getting to know the group was great fun! You flew all the way to Turkey… Treat yourself with that little extra to make the experience perfect! Thank you Ahmet and Royal Balloon for making this memory a really delightful one!

A fantastic memorable balloon ride over the spectacular landscape of cappadocia

My family had the balloon flight with Royal balloons in the mid october. I am
glad to chose this ride as a birthday treat for my daughter, sure it won't fade away from her memories for long. The flight was delayed due to unfavorable weather, but as soon as they received the green signal from government authority they took us to the spot for take off. We witnessed all stages of flying starting from the preperations doing by ground staff, inflating balloons, making it steady, firing of burners, attaching the basket etc. Then we intoduced to our pilot Mr.Tank, a wonderful, knowledgeable person who had made our first balloon flying experience, a most amazing, comfortable, pleasant and safe one that will long last in our memories to cherish. Even though we missed the sunrise due to late start, the experience of flying over the magical wonderland of Cappadocia lit by the morning sun would surpassed them all. Although we opted for normal ride, we were lucky to got an upgrade and all 4 of us including 2 children were flown in private flying basket, Mr. Tank was sharing the information about balloon flight, landscape, safety positions that we should adopt while landing etc. in friendly interactions with us and was ensuring every moment of our flying filled with fun and excitement. After the safe landing we had a champagne party and all of us were awarded with medals from Royal balloons. My family and children have realIy enjoyed the flight.

Thanks to Pilot Mr. Tank and Royal Balloons for an awesome, amazing balloon ride over the mesmerizing landscape of Cappadocia.

Everything I imagined and more!
I booked this excursion a month in advance because we knew our dates and it has been a bucket list item for us for a long time, luckily there was a deal on so our balloon flight was very reasonably priced. That said, it wouldn't have been even half as amazing as it was if we didn't have Umit as a pilot. We were the first balloon in the air, so we got unimpeded views from the top before the rest of the balloons got in the air, then we came down really low and flew through some pinnacles and got to see the other balloons rise before coming back up to see the sun come over the clouds and be in the air with all the other balloons surrounding us. After the sun was up we got low again through more of the valley and even had a (controlled) balloon kiss where we got super close to another balloon without colliding. We got the WHOLE experience and then some and we couldn't have been more excstatic about it. Everyone who got off the balloon (after the smoothest landing into a truck bed) was smiling from ear to ear. We finished the morning with some champagne (not apple juice like I've heard some other companies give) and got some very reasonably priced 360 photos of us in the balloon. 1000000/10 rating for this experience, thanks so much Umit and Royal Balloons for giving us an unforgettable day!

This was such a wonderful experience! I definitely recommend booking it the first morning you’re in town because of weather. We felt safe the entire time, Abdullah our chief pilot was fantastic and his 19 years of experience put me at ease. Everything from takeoff to the landing was smooth. The whole experience was super organized, we got picked up at our hotel, we were served a light breakfast, and then headed off to the balloons. They did a wonderful job communicating updates on the flying conditions.

The balloon ride option was a last minute decision. My wife is not comfortable with high places, and was reluctant to try the balloons until a close friend who shares her discomfort with height, assured her that that the flight comfortably safe.
We were supposed to meet the van to the rides at 4:25 am, as the flights take place well before the heat of the day. But, my wife accidentally set the alarm for 4 pm, rather than 4 am. We were somewhat rudely woken to be told that the balloon van was waiting impatiently for us. We quickly dressed and joined them.
We initially taken to a restaurant, where the riders were offered a light buffet breakfast, and final details were cleared. We were next driven to a vast area filled with balloons sitting on their sides and being inflated with hot air from gas generators. It was fun to watch the huge balloons and their gondolas laying on their sides, sitting among the huge and unusual rocks.
After a few minutes the balloon was uprighted, and passengers helped into one of four sections. This ride was called the queen level, holding about 20-24 passengers. There is also a king level with fewer riders, and at a premium price. Even on our ride, any location on the balloon was comfortable with incredible views.
The balloon very slowly lifted into the air, and very soon we were looking down at the dawn of the day with huge rock formations and extensive landscape everywhere. And, also, impressively, the sky was filled with balloons all around us. The balloons are huge and colorful, and seem to hang in the air. They can be turned around very adeptly, but cant be maneuvered much beyond that. Of course, they use their flame generators to increase altitude.
Looking down is so relaxing and mesmerizing. It reminded me or my first time snorkeling and recognizing a world I had never seen before. The view from the balloons was similar.
We floated for about an hour, with everyone completely fascinated, taking a huge number of photos, and just marveling as the sun rose on the horizon. We dipped into lovely canyons, observed bride and groom being photographed with lovely balloon filled morning, and simply floated in the sky. At the end the balloon was incredibly landed on a trailer, and we were off boarded and offered champagne and juice. A young couple, who had just become engaged, were ceded by the company with a cheery cake to celebrate.
Dont miss this experience. It will make your trip to this lovely area totally memorable.

Magical sunrise with the best pilot Kemal Kaya

Seven days ago my dream came true and I'm still floating in in my mind on this perfect balloon ride. We got picked up from our hotel in a private van around 5 a.m. and went to Royal Balloon headquarters for breakfast where we met other excited passengers. From the pick-up to drop off Royal Balloon was professional, well organized kind and friendly but one person stranded out and made my experience unique and once in a lifetime experience , he is Kemal Kaya the most amazing pilot you will ever had. Kemal gave us the ride of a lifetime, floating securely through that seemed a balloon festival ,catching a breathtaking sunrise. We had picture perfect sky without any clouds so Kemal took through the valley to show us lunar landscapes, stone-cut churches and magical fairy chimneys. Personally I have fear of heights and a balloon ride was my way of beating that fear and I couldn't have done it without him because he made me feel very safe. He was fun and caring and thrilled all of us when after an one hour of magic ride we landed gently on the trailed hooked to the the back of the truck. Yes, you've read it correctly, all because of our amazing pilot. After our landing we had a chance to hang around our balloon, cheered with champagne and I got my first gold medal for courage  I highly recommend Royal Balloon and Kemal Kaya as the pilot because as they say it we flown Royal and felt Royal.

An unforgettable flight experience with Tolga!
We had a wonderful experience doing the Royal Queens Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Ride. The company was very professional- informing us about the weather forecast and walking us through the entire itinerary the day before. Thankfully, the staff informed us that during our stay we had 1 day of clear weather, which turned out to be true.

On the day of the flight, the early morning breakfast was sufficient and the vehicles used to ferry us the the balloons were clean, spacious and comfortable.

The flight itself was excellent, helmed by the ever proficient and entertaining pilot- Tolga Eke. Having so many years of experience under his belt, he piloted the balloon safely and was even able to land skilfully back on the truck. He has an excellent sense of humour, which helped to put the passengers at ease, allowing us all to enjoy the beautiful experience.

He even went the extra mile to record and upload an Insta360 video for us to remember the experience. A truly amazing and passionate pilot.

In terms of the comfort, the group size was intimate and the balloon was spacious as could be (as a family of 4, we had 1/4 of the basket to ourselves), which meant that we could move around and take photos of each other.

Overall, we highly recommend having this experience with this amazing company!

Would recommend and book again!
We booked a hot air balloon ride for August 2022 and we’re delighted with the overall experience. We had 7 in our group, including a 15 and 6 year old. They communicated with us leading up to the tour, which built confidence that the tour was reputable. The day of we were picked up right on time, and went on to a nice simple breakfast and then a lovely flight with Tolga as our flight captain. He made light jokes which helped appease any anxiety. We would highly recommend this company for anyone looking at a hot air balloon trip in Cappadocia.

Fantastic experience!

The highlight of Cappadocia was our Royal Balloon hot air balloon ride!

We booked our Royal King Flight in early June for our September 3rd flight as we had read online that Royal sells out very quickly. Although our initial Flight was cancelled due to bad weather, Royal was able to re-accommodate us the next day. Our flight was incredible. We floated above the city caves and chimneys with 110 other balloons, which was magical. Our handsome pilot, Umit Ertosun, was awesome and very skilled. We highly recommend Umit and Royal Balloon as everyone was so accommodating and professional during the booking, transportation, breakfast and entire flight experience. We also loved the Champagne toast at landing!

Great experience and highly recommend Royal Balloon.
