      Relaxing and enjoyable. Highly recommend.
It was a beautiful sunny day. The cruise was relaxing and enjoyable. Live narration of the history along the Hudson River. It was very dog friendly and our dog was treated to dog biscuits by a crew member. Highly recommend this cruise.

Terrific time on the Hudson River
We loved our time on the Dutch Apple cruise! The boat was immaculate and so comfortable. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. The crew could not have been nicer. Great concession and service with a smile. Easy access to the river location and free parking at the dock. We plan to cruise with Captain Frank in the Spring!

A WONDERFUL MOTHER - DAUGHTER DATE NIGHT
This little cruise was such a great experience for me and my daughter on our little date night! Would we go again!? Absolutely..just not while it’s raining and wet! The scenery was absolutely beautiful and the crew made it comfortable and clean for us. We ordered nachos (fantastic) I ordered a sex on the beach (fantastic)The restrooms are big enough for you to move around in and very clean which I appreciate…on the side note..I think it would be even more fun if they offered a night of bingo or trivia games for more entertainment. We also Enjoyed listening to the history of the area. I definitely recommend it!

Before and After Rose Of Winds
"Tears are very salty Fell into the water They enchanted us and Enchanting fire got bored tear Unbridled riding Windy blind I am Baltic wind, I lived by the sea Many nights and days My eyes are widened You are here with me I’ll surround you with fiery love, wrap the waist, Dawn hair and fish will sweep the way as silky fins Your cash registers will comb And diamond stars and firefly hair What makes the hearts melt? Who understands it? Why ships are sinking? Die in storms? Coming to the shore Summer nights and thunderstorms Understands the whole idea and let it be Ships are wrecked there Will not disturb the shores I promise you The tear is pure and Sea from now will be good to anyone The sun will shine and Baltic, NE, NW with SE,SW winds will be calm" P.S. Great way to spent boring weekend in Albany, NY as Capital District due to not many but more than like NONE entertainment on the weekend around for the adults, young adults and elders ESPECIALLY Saturdays and Sundays for the quite affordable price approx. $30.00 plus food/drinks GROSS approx. $60.00 unless you are young adults under 21 yo what makes your spending with the ticket around $40.00. Great, customers oriented service, clean as should be in any food preparation facility, restaurant, dinner, convenient store, coffeeshop and etc.. Albany International Airport HMS Host International actually would need ask that crew for the training and learn how to keep their food courts and facilities so spotless and clean, non-sticky :-) due to same requirements to job-sides of food courts operations. Yes, Stephano P??? LOL :-) Although was windy, rainy afternoon most part was very fresh and breezy except intrigued by live music trip it was just local station broadcasting and not many wanted to have a dance or friendly social conversations, jokes, trivia's as it used to be back in 2011-2014. Safe future travels, Apple Dutch Crew and next door USSSlaters !!!!!!!

      A Great Experience
I especially enjoyed the narration on the cruise as I hate not knowing what I'm seeing. Peter did an excellent job, his descriptions were informative and the audio was clear and loud enough for me to hear. We were fortunate to have perfect weather and I would recommend this cruise to everyone.

      Wonderful evening
They said you could board the boat at 630 and you did! The first part of the cruise had narration of the river. It was very good and easy to hear clearly. The second half was music. It was not to loud. Perfect. They had waitress service for food and drink. I don’t think it could have been any better. Great way to spend your evening.

Country night wound up being more rock then country.
Country night was more rock music then country , very disappointed. The sole reason we went on the cruise and purchased a hotel was to enjoy and dance to country music on what was advertised as country music night.

      absolutely wonderful
30 years ago on that day we got married on the Dutch Apple. So the sunset cruise was perfect. The boat is even better than before and the staff are fantastic. Shout out to Anthony and Sareena! Many of my friends and family came on and we had a truly magical time.

      River Views
Amazing views, great staff, super clean vessel and a wonderful way to see our communities from a different perspective. Bald Eagles, working waterfronts, parks, houses, beautiful skies, kayakers, birds, and the river tonight was like glass.

      Fourth of July Cruise
We were married on the Dutch Apple on July 4th 2004 so what better way to celebrate than on the boat. Though we have been back over the last 20 years, it is always fun! There have been many upgrades over the years and the boat is in its best shape ever! Always so clean and, their staff is very attentive, especially with those who have disability/mobility issues. Definitely a must do for not just tourists but, Capital District residents....you will not be disappointed! Thank you Anthony and staff for a memorable evening and for treating us so well ❤️

Dutch Apple Cruises was exactly as advertised. My wife and I did the 1pm - 2:30pm cruise and were pleasantly surprised that they went north on the Hudson River for a brief look at what's up in that part of Albany before heading south, which is what we were expecting. Get on board early if you want to sit, don't be surprised by the food & drink prices (cold water is FREE!) and the narration over the loudspeaker regarding the history & interesting stuff you're passing is informative. Oh yeah, we actually did see 3 bald eagles! (they're in the trees - keep a sharp lookout for their white heads)

We booked our tickets online. Please note that it defaults to one adult ticket. So if you have a AAA or other discount, make sure you change the adult ticket to zero and then choose your ticket category. Plenty of free parking right at dockside. The queue has an overhead covering to shield you from the sun or rain. Boarding starts promptly and moves with ease. Anthony quickly signs you in by scanning the QR code in the email confirmation, or searches your tickets by last name. There is a metal ramp from the dock to the midship, and you can easily use a walker or a cane if needed. Plenty of seating on 3 separate decks. If you want the top deck, get in line early as those seats filled up fast. Most tables on the top deck seat 4, but there were a few 2 person tables which was perfect for us. Peter the tour guide was great. He gave an information and entertaining tour of the sites along both sides of the Hudson, with some history.l for the first 45 minutes or so. Then the music played for the second half of the cruise for all to enjoy. We were on the lookout for Bald Eagles and saw 2, so bring your binoculars. The Captain was professional and the waters were calm. We had been wanting to take this cruise since last year, and it was definitely worth the trip up from Long Island for a nice day. If your in Albany, definitely check it out.

We took this cruise on a Saturday afternoon and we’re very happy with the experience. The ticketing was easy, checkin was a breeze. The entire crew was friendly and helpful. FREE parking along with cheap food and beverages made the price you pay the price you pay. The narrator (live) was very knowledgeable and then let the scenery speak for itself on the way home. Very nice visit-tour the USS Slater

Enjoyed the history lesson and learning more about the buildings that line the Hudson. We really appreciated that the narrator kept updating the passengers when you had a chance to see an eagle, or when the bridge was turning to let the cruise ship through. We didn't miss anything!

With Covid restriction subsiding and nice weather developing, we spent a couple of days in the Albany area and found the entire trip to be wonderful. It is a beautiful part of the state and much more laid back than the metropolis of the Five Boroughs.
Many recreational and sightseeing activities are still starting up in the area, and this particular cruise was only offered for one of the days we would be in the area. Thankfully, although there was the threat of thunderstorms, the weather held and at noon the sky was perfect and the Hudson River still.

The triple-decker ship has was sparsely filled for this trip and we were able to sit at one of the 6 or 8 table on the top deck. About half are in full sun and the rest under the shade of a canopy, so arrive early if you want to be topside but under cover. There is plenty of space on the lower decks and much more comfortable if you don't like being in direct sun or wind. The second deck also features a food and beverage bar with a variety of snacks and drinks. We were sitting topside and the staff made multiple trips to take and fill orders - greatly appreciated. Prices were reasonable and the drinks and, in our case, pretzels were fresh and delicious.

The cruise itself was relaxing as the boat made its way leisurely down the Hudson. The tour guide offered a running dialogue of commentary as we motored along. She pointed out highlights along the shore, located several bald eagles, and provided a good historical backdrop to the the settlements along the route. The narration was not particularly informative but I did learn a couple of things and it was generally lighthearted and entertaining. On the return trip, the tour guide put on some easy listening music and mingled with the passengers so as the answer any questions they had.

The staff is extremely accommodating and very courteous and friendly. A couple of the younger passengers (who were bored with the tour guide's narration) were even invited by the captain to join him at his perch. It really made their day.

In summary, it was a nice way to spend a couple of hours. Keep your expectations reasonable regarding how much sightseeing there really is and enjoy the time on the water. It is also reasonably priced - I visited the Dutch Apple website before our trip and received multiple discount codes to use online when booking. It was definitely worth visiting the site ahead of time.

Very enjoyable short trip with an informative narrator who gave us the history of the river area. Refreshments were provided by an exceptional team that focused on the customer. Now my only complaint is…music doesn’t get any better the louder you play it…turn down the volume to a gentle background music to enjoy the ride back to the wharf.

The crew was exceptionally nice and helpful. The cruise was wonderful, however if you sit on the port side of the ship you miss seeing almost every landmark they are speaking about. When you turn around, music is played so you're never able to hear and see the sites at the same time. That was a bit of a disappointment. **We were at mid-level due to handicap accessiblilty.

I was thrilled to meet many of my high school classmates on this beautiful cruise! What made it extra special is that Captain Frank is one of our own, from Schenectady’s Mont Pleasant High School, Class of 1967!! We are so proud of our Captain! He kept everything running smoothly and the narrator was very informative. Scenery beautiful. Can’t wait to go again next time I am in upstate NY!!

Went with extended adult family members, 20 ppl. Easy location to get to, plenty of free parking. Board early and get those tickets downloaded to your digital wallet in advance! They will help you if you cannot figure it out, but you can board faster with digital tickets. Since we wanted top deck tables we arrived early, at least 1/2 the top deck had shade and we were able to move the tables and chairs a bit closer together to get more in the shade. Boat is very clean and shiny, bathroom facility clean, snacks and bar service at counter or to table. Very reasonable snack and drink pricing. Friendly staff all the way. Highlight was the tour going out, the guide was outstanding, grew up on the river so knew his jargon well. Did not sound like a script. Only 2 guides (I asked) and the other one also grew up on the river. Tour guide speaks on the way out, they play music on the way back. Overall an outstanding Albany experience. Highly recommend. And thank you to the staff who was able to get our add on relatives who did not buy in advance on board when it was sold out on line. Thank you!!

My grandson and I had a wonderful time today aboard the Dutch Apple. Everything ran on time, the narration was very interesting, the food and drinks were good and reasonably priced. The place was clean and well kept. My grandson got to steer the boat and that delighted him.
