The distance from our hotel to the border takes about 45 minutes, and border procedures until we pass to Jordanian side and met our driver takes less an hour, and from the Jordanian border to Petra it's takes around 4 hours, because we asked our kind driver to stop over many times for taking some photos for the Dead Sea. We cross the border within 50 minutes only by using the shuttle bus. At the Jordanian side we met our driver who drove us to Petra Hotel. Our transfer was really pleasant, easy, and cozy. We chose to book our return trip with them as well because they were so dependable, courteous, and on time during our first trip with them. I would strongly advise it.
