    Excellent experience
I had a really good experience with Kashmir Walks. Uzman did a fantastic walking tour of the historical areas of Srinagar and an extremely interesting photo tour. He showed me all the secret places in the town, and explained me a lot of details about the local history and culture. Totally recommended if you want to know the most fascinating corners of the city! He was really helpfull in everything and he also helped me to organize a tour around other areas of Kashmir and Zanskar. Perfect!

    A wonderful trip. Jashm-e-Gurez
Mr.Usman arranged the trip very well and the locations and choice of hotels was excellent. At every location we felt that there can't be anything better than this, however the next location was even better. Wood vibes in Gurez is a boutique property with a magnificent view of Habba khatoon. Right next to the property is a tulip garden and it was a pleasant surprise to have our own tulip garden all to ourselves.there are some small treks that we can go from the hotel. In sonamarg we stayed at hotel Akbar and we must say it was a lavish stay. The property is right on the main road and very easily accessible. We spent a wonderful evening with a beautiful view of snow clad mountains and the river flowing right next to us. Next we came back again to Srinagar where we had a stay at the Shehanshah houseboat. Rather than the crowded Dal lake it was a serene and calm stay at the Nigeen lake. We enjoyed the famous shikara ride and local shopping of handicrafts and souvenirs. Next destination was pahalgam which otherwise is a standard destination in such a trip. We were also expecting a regular stay, but Alpine Inn at pahalgam was yet another delight. It was again a boutique property with only 4-5 rooms. We had the property all to ourselves and it was a great experience. The lidder river is accessible easily from the property. We had lot of fun playing in the river and enjoyed ba liesure walk on the riverside road. Finally we went to aru eco resort which is a wonderful camping site. Surrounded by mountains from all sides it's an mazing location. We had liesure walk along the river side road and. There are some scenic locations for photography around. Overall it was an amazing trip and has given us a lifetime of memories to cherish. Additional info. We were 3 families. 6 adults and 6 kids from 29th April to 7th May 2022

We spent 6 wonderful days in Srinagar/Kashmir and engaging Usman bhai for planing the trip was the best decision we made. It was somewhat of a last minute decision to visit Kashmir and the weather played tricks as well, but Usman bhai was always prepared with alternate options and never let us feel that we had to compromise.

We also did the heritage walk as well the craft tour with him and both were an eye opener. If you are looking to buy local art and craft products, the crafts tour is an absolute must do.

We are already thinking of another trip to Kashmir and will definitely reach out to him for planning the same.

Was a lovely 2 hour journey through the eyes of a local Kashmiri and enthusiastic Usman who was my guide for the heritage walk. Through this journey you'll visit places that are centuries old which speak to you through its existence. You have to experience this to see a side of Srinagar and Kashmir which one won't experience anywhere else.
Thanks a lot for the beautiful experience and also ending it with the Kulfi which was literally the cherry on the cake.
Keep up the great job.

The heritage walk conducted by Usman Ji is superbly amazing and so enlightening. He is knowledgeable person, who is well aware of the history of Kashmir and is ready to answer all your queries regarding the same. I was a solo female traveler and wanted to visit the offbeat spaces in Kashmir and he planned it extremely well.

The hotels that were arranged were safe and hygienic. For the starters, we began with the heritage walk around Srinagar including the old town. He shows Srinagar like no one else. We had Nadru pakoda, local mithai of Kashmir filled with dry fruits, after visiting Shah-e-Hamdan Shrine. He also took me to a shop which was preparing the local delicacy Harissa and explained the process involved in its making.

If you are a history buff, nature lover, and ready to accept the beauty of place without any biases, please please visit Kashmir. Only after visiting the place, you will start feeling the Kashmir we see in media is way different from what we see in real life. It's so lively, hospitable and welcoming.

The tour guide never showed up. We were definitely in the right meeting place. I called the number on the booking confirmation and they claimed no affiliation with the tour or trip advisor. I want my money back.

I did 4 tours with Usman. I enjoyed everyone of them. We went hiking in a national forest one morning and we saw a lot of birds. I also enjoyed the crafting tour. The old city of Srinagar should not be missed. I highly recommend any of Kashmiri Walks tours.

If you’re in Srinagar, you can’t miss this walk! My mum and I spent a whole day with Usman, exploring the city. We combined the heritage walk, with the crafts and culinary tour.

Usman is fantastic! Extremely knowledgeable and took us to places, which were absolutely stunning! We visited:
- Jama Masjid
- Khanquah e Maula
- Badshah tomb
- The spice market, Gada kocha, Zaina Kadal
- Had a vegetarian Wazwan lunch at Eidgah (at an artisan’s home). The artisan also took us through the process of how pashmina shawls are made - visited a loom
- Walked through the alleys where chefs cook the Wazwan
- Visited an artisan family - they’ve received 4 national awards for their craft!
- Visited a paper mache artisan’s workshop
- And to top it all, Usman took us to Moon Light, the walnut fudge shop - delicious, and very moreish!

The pace was perfect, even though it was a full day tour. Usman is very affable, and we had a wonderful time, learning, exploring, and joking! Truly memorable!

I initially found Kashmir walks while looking for heritage walks and then their page popped up on my Instagram Explore. Being avid travellers, my husband and I usually curate our trips ourselves. But after talking to Usman, we were convinced in his ability to curate something to our liking. Usman not only planned our trip to Srinagar, Pahalgam, Sonamarg and Gulmarg and gave us suitable advice on what travel is achievable with a toddler, he ensured that the accomodation in each place was as per our specific requirements. Within Srinagar, he organised a shikara ride, houseboat and wazwan experience that we thoroughly enjoyed. The cherry on top was his guided walk which showed his passion for the valley and effort he put into research. He gave us a real insight into the lives of craftsmen and shopkeepers in the valley. It's not to be missed!

Special props to Suhail, the excellent driver engaged by Usman who guided us during our 9 day holiday.
