Emotive, Awe Inspiring, Entertaining, Mind Expanding and Exhausting Day which lasts around 17 hours, tour guide was phenomenal with so much Knowledge and information to impart on us it is hard to take it all on board but really helps your understanding of ancient Egypt. We got picked up 6 minutes early (note you need to ensure the tour company has your name(s) and room number on contact via mobile or email the day before so make sure you are prepared for the call and/or email. The journey in the mini van is long with one stop for toilet and driver change each way. The drivers are experienced and very progressive pushing the envelope to near the limit of safe driving (the faster you get there the more time you get touring ahead of the other coaches/minivans) take a pillow for journey! You will need £E5 for most toilets, £10GBP/£E200pp for the river crossing (pointless not doing so) and tips for drivers and guide. A very professional, enjoyable day and thoroughly recommended to all. My only criticism is the seats in the van aren’t particularly comfy for the duration.

Picked up from our hotel, dead on time. Had a 3 hour drive to Luxor, in a nice air conditioned mini van. No more than 15 people.

Our tour guide, Ashraf was absolutely amazing. A lovely man who you could tell enjoyed his job!
He was extremely knowledgeable and took us to places other groups didn’t.
First stop was the Karnak Temple, we spent about 1.5 hours here.
Upon leaving here, we had the option to do a nile cruise (£10) Seeing as we did a Nile cruise the day before, we proceeded to the restaurant via the bus. The restaurant was clean, had nice quality food and was situated on the side of the Nile. The views were lovely!

We made our way to the Valley of the Kings. Included in our tour was 3 entries to whatever tombs we liked. As a group, we decided to stick with the tour guide and visited the tombs he recommended.

We visited KV 2,4 and 6.

There was an option to see Tutankhamen’s tomb at an extra cost. But our guide said it wasn’t anything special as all the items that were inside, were located in the museum. Thanks for not letting us waste our money!

We then visited the Temple of Hatshepsut. Wow. The views from here were breathtaking. Ashraf took us to the bottom right corner of the temple, and showed us where the image of Hatshepsut was removed from all the hieroglyphs. I won’t spoil why! But again, no other groups went here so missed out on a key piece of information!

Lastly, we stopped off at the Colossi of Menmon.

Please give the driver and our guide Ashraf the credit they deserve, in making our tour absolutely fascinating!

Please please please, book with this company!!

We was picked up bang on 5:30am from our hotel as arranged. My wife and I had a private tour with Mo from YourTourGuide and his drivers.
Our day was absolutely awesome!! What Mo didn’t know about his Egyptian history wasn’t worth knowing. From the Karnak temples to a trip up the Nile to Hatshepsut’s temple and The Valley of the Kings, his knowledge was second to none. We had a traditional Egyptian lunch which was lovely and also a stop at a place where they made ornaments from the rocks of the Valley of the Kings. Our day was amazing. Would highly recommend this trip to any one interested in the history of the Egyptian people/life.

Excellent day. Ashraf, our tour guide, really new his stuff. It was a small group of about 10, and we visited the Karnak temple first, followed by an optional cruise on the Nile,(€10) , then lunch. Then it was onto the valley of the kings, seeing 3 different tombs in all their glory followed by a visit to Hatshepsup temple. The trip lasts about 17 hours, with the journey times for pick up and drop off. Make sure you sort out breakfast and tea to eat on the coach. It’ll be cheaper than buying it at the stops. Also take £E5 (Egyptian pounds not English) for loo breaks.

There were five of us, two adults and three teenagers. We all enjoyed the trip very much. So interesting and fantastic to experience these historical monuments. Our guide was very professional, well educated, cared for all of us and made sure that we got all the historical knowledge right. We can really recommend this trip!

We went in January and in the morning and the night it was around 10 degrees. So bring extra clothes! On the other hand during the day the weather was lovely!

Our tour guide was absolutely amazing, he was full of information almost to the point of too much information it was hard to keep track. It was an early start and the journey was bumpy (take a pillow or two, you can leave them on the bus) but that was worth it for the full day. Our guide took us away from the 'normal' tourist areas and drew our attention to the bits we may have missed otherwise. The group was small which is a huge advantage. We took a trip up the nile which is an excellent extra to do but is an extra charge but the option to not do it is there. Take plenty of E£5 for toilet stops otherwise you could be caught short and always take extra tissue for the same reason.

I feel it is essential to book a smaller group when going to Luxor from Hurghada. This saves time on the hotel pick ups and travel.
The tour guide was great, knowledgable, funny and approachable.
I wouldn’t have done anything different.
I would really recommend this tour with this company.

It was a very early start in the morning, but it was about a four hour drive. We were collected from our hotel with a mini bus for the two of us, a driver and a personal guide who gave us lots of historical information as we were driven along. Comfort stops were provided. We are given a guided tour around the Temple of Karnac, an amazing place. Lunch was a short boat ride across the Nile, where we had a hot meal at a very nice restaurant before travelling on to the Valley of the Kings. Our guide was with us every step of the way sharing with us all the information about the ancient Egyptians. The tombs were unbelievable, easy to access with wooden walkways leading into them, and adorned with hieroglyphics and coloured pictures. The very last tomb of Hatshepsut involved a climb of about 100 steps to enter. The end of the day, 39 degrees and a woman who is no longer young, I decided to retired gracefully and took photos instead. I was sorry not to make it because it was the grandest of the tombs. The valley of the Kings was a breathtaking and awe inspiring place. We returned to our hotel at around 9pm. An unforgettable day out.

There is only one reason to go to Luxor and that’s to see the amazing Egyptian historical sites! Not to waste time going to a fruit farm and alabaster factory.
Our trip started with a message when we arrived that it was going to cost us extra for the pickup from the Sahl Hasheesh area. No mention of this when we booked 2-weeks earlier. Still it was cheaper than the hotel or our holiday company was offering.
We were picked up at 5am and dropped at another hotel to wait the bus. We finally set off for the expected 4-hr drive. Stopping en-route for a bathroom break (have change as it’s £2 EGP charge for toilet everywhere you go). This first part (longest distance) of the trip is on smooth motorway but the second half is on local roads where the road is covered in potholes and speed bumps and takes the same length of time. It was incredibly uncomfortable. Finally after 5-hrs we reached Karnak temple. We were sharing our trip with some German tourists so when we reached the destination a second tour guide arrived to show them around.
After Karnak we were told that we were too early for lunch and that they offered a trip down the Nile to ‘crocodile island’ for an additional charge. The 4 people in our group didn’t want to but apparently the other group did and we could not be split up. We weren’t offered any real alternative to this. What a complete and utter waste of time. Whilst the charge (£20) wasn’t much I would far rather have gone to the Luxor museum (our guide had told us that there was some amazing statues there) than waste an hour and a half on a boat going to an island with some fruit trees and some poorly cared for monkeys and 2 crocodiles in a cage as big as they were.
After this the boat dropped us off at our restaurant where lunch was served.
After lunch we were driven past a few sites then stopped at an alabaster factory for 30 mins. It was 3 hours after leaving Karnak before we finally got to visit the temple of Hatshepsut and the Valley of the Kings. These were amazing but I felt rushed and would have liked the guide to come into the tombs with us but they’re not allowed so that the guards inside each tomb can pester you for money. Then it was back in the bus back to Hurghada which was the same as the journey there and left us feeling exhausted due to constantly being thrown around on the bad roads. We finally got back at 9:45pm.
The sites in Luxor were amazing and our guide was very good. Overall it felt that they were trying to make additional money off the boat trip and factory tour. I wished they had just charged more and shown us what we came to see in less time.
I would not recommend visiting Luxor between May and October because of the heat, and it is hard to do Luxor justice in a single day from Hurghada.

Very disappointing!!
I booked and paid a month before for the trip to Luxor for 2 people and the day before trip they asked me if we can change the date because they have a free place just for one person.
Obviously we couldn’t do it because everything was already organized for the next 4 days.
They said we will be reimbursed the amount paid but we have not seen any money after almost two months.I sent emails and I also called. No one ever replied!!
Holiday ruined unfortunately.
