Overview
Gain a refreshingly different perspective of Bucharest on this 2.5-hour walking tour in support of a charity for Romania’s homeless. Alongside a formerly homeless guide, you’ll visit top Bucharest attractions, such as Revolution Square and the Russian Church, and gain an accurate picture of life on the streets of Romania’s capital city. This small-group tour, limited to 12 people, is a joint initiative with homeless people that allows you to make a difference to the lives of locals.
What to Expect

Greet your guide outside of the Intercontinental Hotel on University Square. From here, you’ll receive an overview of the NGO’s mission to assist homeless people, and how the tour you’re taking helps homeless people gain professional experience through tourism.

Your guide, who was formerly homeless before undergoing a guide training program and learning English, shares his own experience of living on Bucharest’s streets and provides success stories of other formerly homeless people.

Amble along the cobbled streets of University Passage, past the Russian Square and the National Bank of Romania, to University Square, shrouded in historical legacy. In Bucharest’s Old Town, mysteries and histories abound in the crevices of historic buildings. After learning of these tales, refresh with a coffee (own expense) and continue to Unirii Square.

Your tour concludes at the headquarters of the Parada Foundation, the NGO that supports the tour you take.
