Bucharest Sites and Bites with Traditional Romanian Meal
Discover Bucharest’s turbulent history and hearty local flavor on this half-day tour that combines sightseeing with dinner at a traditional Romanian inn. The sprawling capital can be intimidating to explore on your own, so let a guide show you all the major sights like Revolution Square, supersized Parliament Palace, and charming Old Town. Rest your feet over a 3-course meal of authentic Romanian specialties.
What to Expect
Make your way to Revolution Square in central Bucharest to meet your guide and learn about the history-making events that happened here. See the former Royal Palace and National Theater, and learn how Victory Street, Military Circle, and Telephone Palace got their names as you stroll down one of the city’s main boulevards into historic Old Town. See why Bucharest was once called ‘Paris of the East’ as you wind through narrow streets and past medieval buildings.

Marvel at the grand scale of Parliament Palace (People’s Palace), one of the world’s largest buildings and the former home of Romanian dictator Nicolae Ceaușescu. After several hours of sightseeing, settle in to a traditional hanu, or inn, for a 3-course dinner. Skip the tourist traps and enjoy authentic Romanian dishes along with a drink, lingering over your meal as long as you like.

Our guide was Dana Toma. She was the perfect guide. Very knowledgeable and helpful. She even sent emails to us with links for recipes for some of the dishes we ate in Romania. Thank you, Dana!!
