Outstanding guides and amazing services
Adnan was an extraordinarily knowledgeable, friendly, compassionate and great guy to spend a day learning and touring with. He weaves his personal experiences as a soldier during the war to powerfully inform current day realities. Funky provides responsive, creative itineraries at great value. We learned so much

Beautiful Sights
Feb 2021
I loved this tour! Ema was very helpful during my booking process and answered all of my questions in a timely process. My guide Taib was very personable and gave great information about each of the sights we went to. We did run into a mishap when crossing into Serbia as I would have needed a covid test to get back to Bosnia but my guide was able to show me some additional other sights to make use of that time which I really appreciated.

Visegrad was beautiful! I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in seeing these areas during your visit to this stunning country!

Amazing day in the Bosnian countryside - highly recommended
Apr 2019 • Couples
It was our second tour with Sarajevo Funky Tours as we returned back to Sarajevo 2 years after our first visit, and we had a great experience with them again. The whole tour was amazing, our tour guide was great and knowledgeable and we had a fantastic driver as well. I'm not a big nature fan, but I have to admit that the Bosnian countryside is amazing, especially the green Drina River, which is spectacular. Highly recommended tour if you want to see a bit more of Bosnia outside Sarajevo. Thanks a lot for that fantastic day!

Your guides to Sarajevo
Feb 2019 • Solo
I made two trips with Funky Sarajevo, and will do more in the future. The walking tour of the old city, with Taib, was superb, and then I drove along the siege lines of the 1992-95 war with Damir, and I could not have been more pleased with their professionalism and kindnesses of this company. Speak to Ema in the office and arrange what suits you. Funky is the best when it comes to making plans in Sarajevo. No reason to look elsewhere.

Thank you soooo much MatthewStevenson! It was a true honour to such a wonderful person such as you are, and an amazing writer as well :) We truly appreciate everything you have done so far for our country! Our main goal is breaking prejudices people might had about it so far, and our amazing guests are definitely doing a great job in helping us out! Look forward to your soon return to BiH and, till then, take care and wish you all the best :) Damir, Ema and rest of the SAFT team!

I ended up doing three tours with Sarajevo Funky tours and all were very interesting. The guides were very open, not only talking about the historic facts, but also paying attention to their own experiences and opinions.

This tour is brillintly designed to give a sense of Bosnia outside Sarajevo and even a corner of Serbia. The office team was super helpful and friendly and we learned so much from our excellent guide, Ejub.

Dear PastorPaul67, Balkans countries are totally interconnected and one without other would not make much sense. That is why whenever is possible we try to combine bit of everything. Our East Bosnia and West Serbia UNESCO daytour from Sarajevo is perfect symbiosis of two interesting regions within two interesting countries. Great office assistance is least we can do :) Thank you and hope to see you again one day. SAFT team

Wonderful!
Toured with guide Adman and driver Nino, so willing to share their experiences and knowledge, very patient with traffic delays and tried so hard to keep us on schedule and not to miss train even when roads were blocked due to annual regatta. Highly recommended.

Wonderful experience
Aug 2018 • Solo
I booked this tour because I wanted to see things besides Sarajevo and Mostar, where I'd already spent some time. I'm so glad I did! My guide, Arna, was wonderful, and so was my driver. The tour lasted almost 12 hours, and we fit a huge amount into that time. I came away from it with a better understanding and appreciation for this fascinating and beautiful region. Also, the entire staff was super easy and pleasant to deal with.

You will want comfy shoes on this tour, as it involves a little bit of hiking.

Wonderful, Fun Experience of Invaluable History & Learning
Jul 2018 • Couples
Our tour was truly wonderful, as was our guide, Azra, and our driver, Adnan. Ema, the tour coordinator at Sarajevo Funky Tours, was very communicative and even sent us reminders about the pick-up info. Adnan and Azra picked us up from our Airbnb and offered to drop us off anywhere in Sarajevo upon return in case we had evening plans in another part of Sarajevo, which was incredibly kind and rare.
The best part of the experience aside from visiting amazing historical and UNESCO sites, was our guide, Azra. She is incredibly knowledgeable about Bosnia & Herzegovina, its complex history, as well as the Balkans. She was able to answer so many questions from the tour guests and helped us understand a great deal about the region and its historical context and events. On top of all of that, she was very friendly and fun! So was Adnan, our driver.
They could not have been more accommodating. It is a long, rich day of learning and it was very comfortable and convenient as they offered to stop at any time if we needed to use facilities or buy snacks. This was a rare opportunity to see BiH and learn from experienced guides simultaneously. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in understanding and seeing this beautiful country in a holistic way.
One recommendation I have for travelers is to read Ivo Andrić's novel, Bridge on the Drina, prior to the tour as it made the river cruise and bridge crossing even more magical. In addition, I would bring comfortable shoes. Once again, highly recommend to anyone and I want to thank Ema, Azra, and Adnan for giving my husband and me a day we will never forget.

Hello benjaminchilds, East Bosnian regions unfortunately are not getting much of the deserved attention by majority of people travelling to Bosnia and Herzegovina. However region is very rich with great cultural heritage and amazing nature wonders and to bring this closer to our guest interested to discover places off the beaten path we have created a day tour which thoroughly covers East Bosnia and West Serbia visiting two amazing UNESCO sites and tons of other interesting stops such as famous Mehmed Pasa Sokolovic Bridge, Šargan 8 train, Tara National Park, UNESCO site of Borak necropolis and few others. Visiting places alone is just amazing but visiting places with great narration from our guides makes things even better. Making our guests better understand and later recommend visiting these regions to other travellers is by far our greatest satisfaction, either you do it as tour with us or on your own. These regions will be hot destinations in years to come, so time to visit is now :) We surely agree with your recommendation that Ivo Andric Nobel prize winning novel "Bridge over Drina" is great material for upfront preparation for this tour and surely recommend it to all our guests. We thank you for your kind words and hope to see you again in future. All the best. SAFT Team
