Dec 2018
South America is my favorite place to travel and Peru is right up there because of the rich history and varied places to visit. Lima is a wonderful city but beware of the water. Cusco is a very interesting city and Machu Picchu is an architectural wonder that shouldn't be missed. The train from Cusco to Machu Picchu is a must trip.

Beautiful Bucket List Accomplishment
Sep 2019
Spent 3 days in Lima meeting our new extended family members. Short Lain Tran flight to Cusco. Spent 2 days getting used to the altitude. The hotel we selected was fantastic! ARANWA Boutique. (see additional review). A personal guide to Machu Picchu. PeruRail rides up and back with the most beautiful weather and clear sights forever. Spent 2 hours as we had to get back to the one person who was not able to make it up the hill due to respiratory problems. Walking up the steps was a good workout for my quads. I'm short so the 2ft stepups were invirorating.

Excellent service
Dec 2018
This tour group took care of us very well. Sophia was waiting for us at Lima airport and they took us to our hotel. She explained to us what to expect and our entire itinerary. They were always on time to pick us from our hotel or airport. The hotels are nice and comfortable. The guides are very knowledgeable.

Now for one con that we experienced. In Cusco they put us in Hotel Ferre which is out of the tourist area. One night the building next door, a residence had a party and they had loud music the whole night and we were not able to sleep that night. I complained to the reception and they did not do anything about it. Hope they will read this and refund me for this night.

Just a Taste of Peru
Sep 2018 • Couples
It was absolutely great because :
1) the drivers were on time,
2) administration kept us informed by leaving written messages at the hotel reception;
3) the tour guides were very knowledgeable, patient, respectful and flexible. One stands out from our trips, Nikko.
Thank you

Look elsewhere for reputable tour group. They employ "bait and switch" practices, not cool!
Sep 2018 • Couples
I have to agree with the past few reviews, there are a plethora of other agencies to choose from and you should look elsewhere when booking this type of once in a lifetime trip. We traveled with Viajes Pacifico 8/28 - 9/3/18. We spent a lot of $$$ on this 7-day "first class" tour for two, but what we got was anything but first class accommodations. Like others we were put up in economy hotels, I'd argue they were less than 3-star ratings at best (Jose Antonio in Lima and Cusco, Casa Andina "standard" in Agua Calientes). Being a couple we booked double occupancy. In each of our hotels were given separate beds. Laughable but understandable. But twin beds on top of the train tracks? That was what they considered to be first class accommodations in Agua Calientes. None of the hotels we stayed in had AC, all were on busy noisy streets, and not centrally located like we expected (and when compared to other hotels in each city). They were all clean thankfully, but is that what should define a 1st class accommodation??? We couldn't control the water temperature in any of the Jose Antonio locations (the shower kept cycling hot/cold like someone was repeatedly flushing toilets in both cities). Communications with the agency were poor at best. We never received confirmations or itineraries, just hotel messages (which they often messed up) the night before a destination. Out of 4 we only liked one of our tour guides, the rest rushed us through their tours and pushed us along to meet their timelines (who paid for this?). Overall, Viajes Pacifico was just a big disappointment. Honestly we did a better job on the days we were on our own. We should have just booked the rest of the trip ourselves.

Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere or just wait until you arrive in Peru and book day trips as you go. This was a waste of our time and money!

Viajes Pacifico was efficiently organized
We booked the 7 day package for Lima and Machu Picchu. As instructed, we booked the air travels ourselves with no problem. The pickups and transports were all punctual, including a staff escort into check ins at the airports. The tour guides were very knowledgeable. What we liked was we were only in a group of 4 in Lima and Cuzco, and 10 at the Machu Picchu. ...One negative was their choice of booking Casa Andina in Aguas Calientes; it was a very bad hotel booking to put us in room just inches from the train track. We paid premium for this tour, and that hotel was in a terrible location. We had to pay extra to change our room overlooking the river. Casa Andina also has very bad WiFi, then they have a gimmick to pay a fee for a supposed better WiFi that was not any better.... REMOVE CASA ANDINA Aguas Calientes as your hotel partner and Viajes Pacifico would have been perfect otherwise.

I paid $1900 for this 7-Day 1st class single room, But only received a economic room
Aug 2018 • Solo
There are many travel agencies to book this kind of Machu Picchu tour. I made mistake to book through TripAdvisor. Please look carefully, there is not a specification about what hotel we will get.
In this particular trip, TripAdvisor outsourcing to Viajes Pacifico in Pero. I paid $1900/pp for 1st class single room , bur I got Casa Andina Hotel, which is a 3 star hotel in Lima, Cusco and Machu Picchu. At Lima, the TV does not work. At Cusco, my room is small barely can turn aorund. At Machu Picchu, the Casa Andina Standard Hotel is direct face the train station. All rooms in even # face the train station, odd # rooms facing creek and maoutain. The hotel gave my room 210, which not only can heard the speaker talking all day long and can hear people wheeling luggage on the street. I asked the hotel to change a room. The best they could give to me was room 512, because Viajes Pacifico paid very low rate for my room.
This is my lesson learned from this booking. I used to book hotel through Expedia.com, which has very detailed hotel name and hotel specification. I like to ask Trip advisor to verify with Viajes pacifico, because each guide came to airport to pick up me, I told him/her I paid "1st class Hotel", they looked my face, and said Casa Andina is not a 1st class hotel.
The worest thing was on Aug 13, 2018, after wake up, I saw a dead roach on the floor in front of closet. It made me felt ... I definitely think what I got was not a 1st class hotel.
I booked over night on Machu Picchu. Viajet Pacifico signed me with 4 others, who are on 1 day to Machu Picchu. Therefore, after 3 hours in Machu Picchu, the other 4 had to take bus down to town . I was the only person had lunch buffet at thetop of the mountain. My tour guide did not get the lunch. So, I had lunch by myself, took bus by myself, and walk alone the train find my Hotel. But, Viajes Pacifico assigned another group of 5, staying overnight on Machu Picchu. That was a English speaking group, too. Since they all stay overnight. They eat on the top of mountain. Their Tour guide could eat with them. They, the tour guide accompany them toking bus, and check in Hotel. Their hotel was Inka .... a true 5 start hotel. I wish TripAdvisor to investigate, and do not put us in this kind no guarantee package. What I paid was not what I got.
In addition, the no one took me to train station. The service from Viajet Pacifico was very bad, not reliable. I wish TripAdvisor to listen to our feedback. During the whole trip, I kept telling myself, I came to enjoy Machu Picchu. I should report to Trip Advisor as soon as I come back home. I should not let Viajes Pacifico 's bad service and not honest deal ( $700 additional fee for 1st class hotel) to distress my trip.

Domestic airfare problem
Jun 2018 • Solo
We have just purchased a 7 day trip fr next month. The portion of the "domestic airfare" from Lima to Cusco and back to Lima is not included. I have been trying for 3 days to book a domestic airfare but they cant tell me who to call, there is no option of booking it myself online. This is not how a tour company operates. So now we have already spent money on a seven day trip and dont have a domestic air travel reservation for the trip. Unbelievable.

Great tour!
Apr 2018
After finding bargain airfare we looked for a complete tour group and tour to take my wife and I from Lima, to Cusco and then to Machu Picchu. This tour was the perfect solution for us. It was completely planned and executed for us to perfection by Viajes Pacifico. We had top hotels, outstanding and very knowledgeable tour guides, the nicest of tour vans, and well planned, on time, and well executed pickup and drop off times. We never missed a connection. It consisted of city tours, beautiful cathedrals, markets, Incan sites, Spanish influences, Andes Mountain view’s and my favorite, the Citadel of Machu Picchu. Your time will be filled.

This tour will give a great view of Lima, Cusco and Aguascalientes (Machu Picchu). It was a great trip, but difficult from the standpoint of being strenuous. High altitude activity (especially Cusco), walking, steps, etc. The difficulty is not the fault of the tour group nor the tour itself. It is just inherent as a result of the geography. Prepare yourself prior to going.

It's hard to find the right words to thank this amazing company! You all from Machupicchu Latin America created for me an unforgettable experience!
I am single traveler. So I prefer to discover the world. This has its advantages and ... shortcomings.Like discovering Peru.An unknown continent, an unknown country, a little scary.Fortunately I got to Machupicchu Latin America and made a 6-day tour of Peru with them. Perfect organization and incredible professionalism. You feel special with them. Imagine as if someone organizes everything for you, and at the same time takes account of yours privacy. Amazing service. For six days they showed me their country as I would never have seen it alone. Because Peru is not only ..... Peru is an amazing country in which traditions have overflowed through the centuries of the Great Inca Empire, through the Spanish influence to the present day.Peruvians are kind and hospitable people. They have embraced the traditions in the art of their colorful everyday life. While the airplanes fly somewhere in a quiet and romantic place, they create their unforgettable colorful suits and blankets and quietly smile at every passing human. Or build their floating islands and charming houses on Lake Titicaca again and again. and each visitor receives a song and smile. You can not see it yourself - Fredi llamacponcca and the whole team of superb guides can show you this. They welcome you to accommodate you, lead you to amazing places and tell you about their great and ancient history. Everything is secured-transport, hotels, tickets and advice for everything you need. And answer any of your questions. They showed me Pisco and The temple of Sun, pyramids everywhere , Sacred Valley, Titicaca lake, Machu Picchu, Cuzco and many more. Thank you Machupicchu Latin America, Thank you Fredi! Thank you for taking the whole organization of your back and giving me the incredible opportunity to enjoy this magnificent journey.
If you decide to do this magical journey do not hesitate - this company is all you need.
