What to expect
Depart your Ho Chi Minh hotel by air-conditioned vehicle destined for Cu Chi. Your morning starts at the High Street Centre, where you’ll be fitted for your helmet and bicycle. Meet your guide and pedal toward Kampong Glam, a historic district once settled by Arabs and Malays that is now a cultural hub. Take advantage of the stop here to snap photos of Middle Eastern cafes, stylish boutiques, and other sights around the neighborhood. Continue to Bussorah Street, also known as Little Istanbul, and stop at the Malay Heritage Centre. Then, ride past the historic buildings on Beach Road, including the 19th-century, colonial-style Raffles Hotel. Stop for a break with snacks and local treats, sampling local coffee, calamansi juice, and kaya toast. Then, head to the city’s colonial district to see some of the neighborhood’s architectural highlights, reflective of British rule in Singapore. Catch a glimpse of the Marina Bay Sands before finishing at the tour office on North Bridge Road.

The perfect way to explore Singapore!
Sep 2019
If you're looking to start your holiday off with a bit of exercise, a history lesson and some entertainment then look no further than Rene and his bike tour.

Much has been said about the trip but the key pointers we had were;

- There's a few newer, more comfortable green bikes. It's first in first served so get in quick.

- Take some additional chilled water. Even though the tour is flat, the heat makes it thirsty work. You do get a food stop along the way but we found we needed more water.

- If you can, stay close to the front near Rene. He chats throughout the whole tour so you miss a lot if you're at the back.

- There's talk of the office being difficult to find, we however had no problem. It's the building to the left of Starbucks, downstairs and office number 29. All offices had a number so it's a matter of negotiating the hallways until you get to 29.

Very interesting view of Singapore
Oct 2019
Our guide's passion for and knowledge of Singapore was infectious. The bikes were pretty good and most of the 4 h tour was on footpaths, bike tracks or quiet little roads. Our tour leader guided us very effectively among the pedestrians and when we needed to go on the road.

One little hint - the starting point/office is very difficult to find in the basement of a large building. Better signage and more details with the booking form are suggested.

Just what we expected and more! Just one thing...
Feb 2019 • Family
The 3 of us had Rene to ourselves for this tour. He is a disarming, relatable and knowledgeable host. He had an answer to all our questions and delivered his tour in an easy-to-understand format. The tour pace was right on and flexible enough to accommodate a stinking hot Singapore morning.

Just one thing, Rene: Time for new bikes! Not sure if the ones we had were reflective of the lot of these older, second-hand bikes but, while they worked, the brakes were a little dodgy and tyres a little flat. Something easily fixed with a little TLC, but I'm sure there's bikes built specifically for this type of activity (one size fits all/most, basic functional gears/brakes) and wouldn't be a huge investment.

The tour personality and content are top class, time to bring the vehicles up to that high level, I think.

We found the shop a little hard to find in the bowels of the High Street Centre, so give yourselves time to find it.

We consider ourselves lucky to have met Rene. He provided the highlight of our Singapore experience!

Hi Eric, Thanks for your wonderful review. Our bikes are all bought brand new with disc brakes.( releigh mini velo ) However, i believe some of them do need some servicing as we do these tours daily. Having said that, it was our pleasure having you on the tours and we really enjoyed your company. As for the shop location. We understand that some tourist are not familiar with the local unit arrangement. Hence we have provided our contact number for them to contact us if they have any problem. Finally we would like to assure all our customers that all feedback is taken seriously and we would rectify the situation where ever possible. regards, Rene

Fantastic tour!

Rene's tour was wonderful! Biking was an excellent way to see the distinct areas of Singapore. The ride was not strenuous at all because Singapore has a lot of reclaimed land and is therefore very flat. Rene was very knowledgeable about Singapore's social, cultural and political history. He tailored the tour based on our interests and what we'd already seen. We saw the must-see tourist areas, but also got a sense of everyday life. We stopped in a local marketplace for lunch and had food we never would have gotten to try otherwise. I highly recommend this tour.

A morning well spent
My wife and I did the bike tour with Rene and are so glad we did. His hometown local knowledge was an excellent introduction to Singapore. He took us to places that we would never have found on our own and shared with us some of the local culinary delights. He was a fun and informative guide who made the tour really enjoyable. I would highly recommend doing this tour.

You have to do it!
Well, as I told Rene, i will give you 5 stars because I can't give you 6!
This guy deserves the "michelin star" of the bike tours!
It was a morning very well passed. Me and my wife loved the tour with Rene. He knows so much about the city.
He also gaves us street food, drinks and ice cream.
If you'r reading this and want to do a bike tour, call Rene! You won't be disappointed!

What a fantastic way for first time visitors to get to know Singapore.
Our guide Renee was awesome, so much knowledge and passion about his great city delivered in a very interesting and humorous way. The bikes are great and the ride is easy ( all flat ). Don’t miss this tour with Renee, you’ll love it.
Well done Urban Adventures 10/10

Nov 2018 • Solo
I booked onto the small group tour for my first full day in Singapore.
I was the only one, so I had the tour leader Rene to myself! The trip did not disappoint , what a great way of experiencing the city , and getting a better understanding of what to see and experience for the rest of my trip.
Rene was very informative , full of facts and stories.
Thoroughly recommend!

Well-paced and plenty to see
My wife and I booked this tour a few weeks in advance and ended up being the only ones on the tour (win!).

Our guide Raymond was friendly and the tour was at a leisurely pace - Singapore is flat so there’s no hills.

The bikes were comfortable and well-maintained - there was a bottle of water and a poncho provided if needed.

We cycled for about 14km’s over nearly 3.5hrs with plenty of stops, a few food stops and saw heaps of Singapore’s highlights.

It was a great way to spend our first day (of a week) in Singapore to get a feel for the city and made note of a few areas to return to for drinks/lunch/dinner etc. (Boat Quay, Clark Quay etc)

We’d also recommend as a great way to shake off some jet-lag.
