About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- gerr0nr0 contributionsGreat cooking experience. We went in March of 2023 My review is way past due but this was a great beach side experience and the food we made was delicious. In fact we need that chicken adobe recipe and some bamboo. I recommend in Cebu this is a must do.Written July 27, 2024
- StoicBard0 contributionsAwesome Immersive ExperienceLorilie was an excellent hostess and met me at the entrance to the public beach the cooking class is held on. She also help make arrangements for transport back to my hotel after the class. The class it’s self was very informative and fun. She covered a bit of the history of the Philippine art of cooking using fresh bamboo. The class is held on a public beach and close to where we were set up there was a wonderful Philippine family who were celebrating a birthday party and invited me to join. This was an unexpected bonus that really made the cooking class a real immersive experience. Lorilie patiently walk me through the prep and cooking process and the dishes turned out amazingly well. This is one of the highlight experiences of my Cebu trip. Book it and cook it. You will be glad you did.Written February 25, 2023

Lorelie is an amazing guide and keeps you entertained, I enjoyed the chats we had. I couldn’t help but feel let down by the tour. I feel that it is very expensive, yet you’re taken to the poor part of Cebu and given the cheap street food like chicken and pig intestine, chicken heart and liver. I ate those kind of things in China when I lived there. I wanted some authentic sisig or adobo, the typical and famous Filipino cuisine. The sights to see are ok but definitely do not make the price of this tour worth it. I didn’t get lechon because apparently they’re only open on Friday Saturday Sunday, so if you go on a weekday, you just get taken to the poverished area and eat that food , which is interesting and eye opening, however not worth the price.

This was one of the best tours we've ever taken! We still cannot believe some of the food we tried but our guide Lorelie was so cool and fun, she somehow convinced us to and we are so glad she did. You HAVE to request her for your tour. Our group was small, just four people. We all bonded and had a great experience. The tour has multiple sightseeing stops along the way, making the price unbeatable. The market was an awesome way to end the night. So vibrant and exciting. I highly recommend this tour

Lorelie is a very pleasant and knowledgeable guide. The tour really gave us a taste of life in Cebu city, and the city’s culture and history. We saw all the major sights and tasted some great food! My only feedback is that the tour would be less rushed if it was an hour or two longer or if one of the street food stops was removed. Overall the tour was a great experience for the whole family!

Had an amazing time. If you want to get to know some of the history of Cebu while eating local food, this is the right tour.
Lorelie is a great host, funny, genuinely interested and outspoken. Although some of the experiences are a little bit adventurous for europeans, we felt very safe with Lorelie.

If you like sampling street food and learning history from a local, this tour is for you! My husband and I have been on similar tours around the world and this was one of our best experiences to date. Lorelie provided a great introduction to the history of Cebu with visits to a number of historical sites as well as an amazing sampling of local street food. We tried things I would have never been brave enough to eat on my own and all were delicious!

Lorelie was a perfect guide and a great host for our tour. The food was great, and the tour was a good way of seeing the city. We visited places we wouldn't have found by ourselves and having Lorelie there to give us information and tell us about what we were eating and seeing really made it more enjoyable.

We had an amazing evening with Kyle our tour guide. Trying new foods, visiting local street food stalls, learning about Cebu historical locations, and even riding a Jeepney made for a great experience enhanced by Kyle’s knowledge and personality. We would definitely recommend this tour to others.

Lorie is a great, energetic host! I joined the tour solo and ended up with three other ladies; we all got along great which added to a fun vibe. The tour was rather fast-paced (Lorie walks extremely fast) and at times, I felt a bit rushed, but generally good information that ended with some amazing lechón! I also enjoyed the jeepney experience and hearing Lorie's personal stories which helped give us a clearer picture of the lives of locals. Good experience
