What I can say is that Martin and Ethel made us feel very welcome when we happened upon their establishment on New Year’s Eve. We stayed for drinks and had a great conversation with Martin. It’s a clean, well-appointed place with the nicest staff with the biggest smiles! The menu was carefully explained to us and is all available on your phone via a QR code. It even detects what table you are sitting at! We returned on New Year’s Day for lunch and was impressed that the staff remembered us and that the owners remembered our names as well, a nice touch! The menu is varied and our choices were delicious. They cater for Western palates as well as Filipinos. It’s a quiet venue in Station One, which is nice as you can escape the busyness of the rest of the beach. We will be making several more visits during our time on the island and would recommend a visit if you’re passing. Even if you’re not passing, find them out and spend a few hours there, you will not be disappointed.Written January 1, 2024

There's a reason why WaterColors Scuba diving has ZERO negative review. I have nothing but praise and positive words. No frills, no BS selling like what you see around station 2.
First off, Jimmy is the ONLY dive instructor you should consider if you're in Boracay. He was my first ever dive instructor when my boyfriend and I took our Open water certificate back in May 2023, after that I met over 5 other dive masters while traveling in different parts of the Philippines and Thailand. I kid you not, the level of professionalism and care Jimmy has to his students after comparing it to others is so different.
We came back to get our Advance open water and specifically ask for him. He gave me the opportunity to relearn things I might have missed, he's incredibly attentive underwater which made me feel very safe. I've struggled with anxiety underwater because it can really be terrifying, but he taught me not to overthink and trust that there are safe ways to navigate through diving.
Jimmy has over 5000 dives under his belt. He's encouraging to new divers, doesnt overcomplicate things and teaches you to enjoy the experience. You need someone to make sure you come out of the water alive, and I can guarantee you, your best bet is with this guy. I can't wait to bring friends and family to Watercolors!

I had the luxury of having Jimmy take me and my partner out on my first ever scuba dive! As someone who can barely swim, i was initially quite worried but through the initial course briefing, shallow dive testing and the actual dive, Jimmy made me feel very safe the entire
time! He answered all the questions I had and gave so many great tips - he was very charismatic, funny and overall a fantastic instructor and i couldn’t have asked for someone better. Would defiantly recommend this experience as you get so see and experience the amazing under water life of the boracay waters

We had the most incredible experience with Discover Scuba Diving at Watercolor Boracay! From start to finish, everything was top-notch. Our instructor, Jimmy, was absolutely phenomenal—so patient, knowledgeable, and reassuring. As a first-time diver, I was initially nervous, but Jimmy made me feel completely at ease with his calm demeanor and thorough explanations.
The underwater world he introduced us to was breathtaking—vibrant coral reefs, colorful fish, and crystal-clear waters. Jimmy’s guidance throughout the dive made the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. His passion for diving and marine life was infectious and added so much value to the experience.

Awesome half day doing the Discovery scuba diving session with Jimmy. He was very patient especially when the initial first time nerves kicked in. Experiencing the under water world diving was a truly unique experience - so much marine and fish life to see. I highly recommend Jimmy - you will be in safe hands and assured to have an enjoyable experience.

Had an amazing experience. Jimmy was a great instructor and guide, he really briefed us about the equipment and safety protocols well. The dive with him was also incredible as he made sure to make us feel comfortable and safe. Would highly recommend.

We went to Boracay for my son’s 14th birthday. Before our trip, I’ve booked for a scuba experience for us and candidly informed it’s my son’s birthday on our scheduled scuba class. Ms. Jenny, our dive instructor is superb! An absolute pro. The course includes a PADI lecture, with Ms. Jenny teaching all the basics, initially on land and on shallow waters. After which, we dived and were able to showcase what we’ve learned. Her knowledge, support and guidance underwater made us feel safe and made the experience truly enjoyable. We visited the coral gardens of Boracay, found Nemo and a whole lot of colorful fishes and corals! What touched us the most is she had a surprise underwater birthday cake for my son!! All the while, we thought the bag she was carrying underwater contains dive equipment..but lo and behold! It was a homemade birthday cake made of recycle materials and plastic fruits! What a very personal experience.. and we truly, truly appreciate it. Thank you so much, Ms. Jenny and Watercolors! We’ll be back, for sure!

The views were so amazing! Enenif you cant swim like me, you never feel nervous cuz professional teacher will guide. Our teacher , Jimmy was so nice that I enjoy the scuba diving for a long time. He took many pictures of us, and very kind. I look forward to come back again!

I've taken the Discover Scuba Diving course twice before and whilst wonderful neither could remove my nervousness or lack of confidence when diving. I was persuaded by a friend to try again with Jenny Jara at Watercolors Boracay.
Well, what a very different experience! Working with Jenny in the shallow water area, ahead of the dive, all my fears and concerns were removed as we practiced 4 mask and regulator exercises (which I don't remember having done previously).
Once Jenny was assured i felt confident, we swam off to a slightly deeper area to practice equalizing. On route we picked up a few items of very old bottles and plastic wrapper trash and placed in to a bag to dispose of properly.
After a 30 minute rest we headed out on a boat to Angol Point with Jenny checking regularly that I was okay, that I was equalizing and that I was comfortable with the experience. It was a 1-2-1 dive so Jenny was able to focus on my entirely, we swam around large corals teeming with life and swam along the bed, where I saw my first nudibranch, 4 in fact (only ever seen them in photos).
I finished the experienced so relaxed, confident and happy that I will now undertake my Open Water certificate.
Watercolors like to keep their dive groups small, to offer the best experience, and it certainly worked for me

I was truly excited and was grateful when you asked me the first time that you wanted me to take you underwater and nothing comes to my mind but the answer, YES!
