Great half day tour hitting the historical highlights in metro Manila!
My tour guide Fernando was very informative and easy to understand. I really appreciate that even though I was solo (paid the price for 2 people) they still ran the tour even though no one else was added. Be warned, there is quite a bit of walking involved to see intramuros & Fort Santiago, and at the time of day we went it was quite warm. They provide bottled water but would suggest bringing a hat, towel, umbrella for shade in open areas. Driver has nerves of steel to be able to navigate the tight streets with the scooters weaving in & out. Kudos to him!

A nice relaxing day to chill away from the city
If you want a nice relaxing day to chill away from the city, then I do recommend booking this activity. I was quite lucky as the place wasn’t so crowded. I recommend seeing the waterfall first. It is quite a small one, but still lovely. It’s about a 20 minutes walk which can be quite calming and there was a gentleman there who helped me through the water and took fantastic pictures of me. There are three pools: the big warm pool, the “soda” pool, and the lovers’ pool which is tucked away in the corner. They provided me with lockers at no extra cost. You make your way back to Manila after lunch so make sure you do as much swimming as possible beforehand. Lunch is buffet food (with soft drinks costing extra) and although I am not a huge fan of buffet food, it was nice nonetheless. Throughout the drive, my tour guide was informing me about the sights on the road i.e. the buildings, the motorway, the mountain etc., which was nice. The only negative feeling I had (at the very end of the tour) was the tour guide telling me I should tip the driver. Although I do not come from a “tipping culture” country, I do not mind doing it when someone has done a great job. That said, I didn’t have much cash on me (as everything was booked and I didn’t want to carry much cash on me) so I just pulled out the first note which was PHP 50. The tour guide complained that it was too small. I still ended up giving it to the driver, but it left a sour taste in my mouth (and it’s not like this is a cheap activity to book). Overall, this is a nice activity to book if you want a break from the city.

          Enlightening visual history of Manila
This was an informative and enjoyable tour which spanned Spanish colonial settlement, world war II occupation, independence and the modernisation of Manila. The 4 hour tour in a comfortable air-conditioned minibus actually took over 5 hours with nearly 3 hours spent in heavy traffic. One suggestion to improve pick-up arrangements is to specify pick-up times at various hotels some of which are nearly 45 minutes from where the tour actually starts in new Manila.

          A must experience for everyone
Everyone should experience Villa Escudero at least once. It is a fun relaxed day. We enjoyed the lunch at the water with the waterfall. Food was good. Waiters were very helpful. It’s good having water shoes for stability in the water. We enjoyed the show afterwards Very much. Although we did not look at the opportunities for children we noted that there were those kinds of entertainment. They for sure will enjoy the water buffalo ride. I visited in 2007, and it was good to revisit this unique place. Eileen from Minnesota

Lot of history. Would have been better if cheaper for the amount of tour specially for big groups.
Price could have been cheaper. Tour was enjoyable. Lot of history. Went to Intramuros, passed by BGC and Okada, went to memorial of veterans from Ww2

          Philippine history
There’s a lot of walking but it’s worth it. My American husband was enthralled by the American involvement in the Philippine history.

          A trap
POS - air-conditioned van - punctual pick up and return - small group (6 plus driver and guide) - Intramuros and American War Cemetery are worth visiting CONS - 70% of time spent in the same spot listening to the guide. No option to walk freely and meet at meeting point. - American War Cemetery: listened to 30 mins talk in the same spot and then given 15 mins to actually see the place. We literally sprinted around to try to see as much as we could in this ridiculous amount of time. Appreciate the guide knowledge but it gets to a point that we can no longer pay attention as we were eager to visit the place. - time spent in the van: lots of interesting things to see on tbem way to Intramuros but the guide was talking on the very top of his voice like a machine. His phone kept ringing and he kept talking to us … no change to talk to your travel companion. -Intramuros: very interesting place to take pictures but we spent a long time listening to the guide near the shops and then far away from main area. It was obvious people were restless and the main purpose, at least for me, was to actually see this great place. - way back to hotel: we really hoped the guide would then be quiet and let us enjoy the view but we had to endure 45 mins of loud talking non stop. My friend tried to meditate, I pretended I was asleep, other people looked at their phones but the talk would not stop. It honestly felt like torture. - we were asked 30 000 pesos as tip per person - my friend went to her hotel room after as the e experience was a bit traumatising. I had 2 headache tablets. SUGGESTION Get a grab (Uber) and go to these places yourself Get a walking tour where you are listening/learning but are also seeing the place and are free to talk to your travel companion.

          Good day
Very busy being Christmas. But enjoyed our day to the underwater river. The trips were cancelled the next day because of a typhoon, so we were very fortunate to get to see it.

Did not tour in Fort Santiago
We didn't get a tour inside Fort Santiago which is 50% of the tour. We booked for Dec 26th, and Fort Santiago doesn't open until 12pm that day. Tour guide says his time is up and cannot wait for 12pm so will just bring us back to pickup spot (Makati). Tour operator should know opening times of tour and adjust accordingly. We decided to just stay and do Fort Santiago on our own, and we have to get a cab back to our hotel in Makati. Basically only got 50% worth of the full tour we paid for.

Nelle was a great tour guide during our trip. She made sure our needs were met and then some! Nelle was quite the photographer and made sure we were first in line or held a place in line for us while we explored. The trip was everything I looked for. I showed up and everything was taken care of. Thank you!

Love the place. The view of chocolate hills was amazing. I had a hard time with all the steps but I made it. Hard to climb with a bad knee. The Tarsiers were cute. not much activity since they are nocturnal. The river cruise was awesome. I love the platforms with all the Folk Dancers. The fact that they encourage audience participation is great for families traveling with children. The food was good and the service was great.

I actually wasn't aware that there were additional sights on top of the 3 listed, so that was a pleasant surprise. Some of them were not super exciting but it helped break up the driving. Our guide Dolly was super sweet, funny, and informative. Our favorite stop was the Loboc river cruise. It was a nice peaceful ride with beautiful scenery and plenty of entertainment and food. The chocolate hills were nice too. You get a good view at the top of the stairs but be careful climbing, especially when there are a lot of other tourists.

We enjoyed this day tour. Stops at the old church, tarsier sanctuary, river cruise, butterfly farm and the amazing Chocolate Hills. I felt that the butterfly farm was disappointing. The enclosures were small and the butterflies were not that special.
The last stop was the viewing area for the Chocolate Hills. This is the real highlight. There was ample time to get up all the steps (200, according to our guide) and take photos.
Our bus had 19 people on it, so a large group that didn't present any problems. There were a few Aussies, a few Europeans and the rest were Filipinos.
I'd recommend this tour. Shop online for the best price. I saw a price of $US 200 per person before seeing it for P5000+ at another site. You can probably get it for cheaper than that too.
