What to expect
After morning pickup from your hotel by air-conditioned coach, travel with your knowledgeable guide from the island’s capital city of Tagbilaran to scenic spots throughout the island. Start off at a landmark that commemorates the first treaty of friendship between the Spanish and Filipinos: the Blood Compact Monument. Then head to the Spanish colonial Baclayon Church, built in 1595, and see 16th-century relics in the adjacent museum. Next, head to Bilar, driving through a man-made forest of prized mahogany trees, and passing villages surrounded by lush farmland and nipa palms. Stop at a 7-acre (3-hectare) butterfly conservation center where the butterflies soar free. Your guide explains the variety of butterflies found in the Philippines, and you'll see examples of about half of the 300 species found on Bohol. You can even glimpse the cone-shaped Chocolate Hills in the distance. Drive through the island’s scenic interior to Carmen, then get close views of the thousand or so limestone mounds that make up the Chocolate Hills. Climb up to the Chocolate Hills viewpoint for fabulous views over Bohol. Enjoy a buffet lunch of authentic Filipino specialties served on board a 50-minute catamaran cruise on the Loboc River. Enjoy watching the scenery slide by as your guide helps you look for tarsiers — the world’s second-smallest primate, standing only about six inches (15cm) tall. When your lunch cruise finishes, return to your coach and stop in the coastal town of Loay, a former fishing village that features several backyard industries, including making bolo hatchets for farming and woodcutting, and constructing nipa palm roofing materials by hand. Your Bohol tour ends with the return drive to Tagbilaran and drop-off at your selected Bohol hotel.

Tarsier
May 2018
Have a lot of fun, Tarsier are so cute and adorable, Loboc River Cruise was very nice, the only thing my husband did not like is letting the passenger down to dance with the dancers and we were not able to see the dancers.

Nice day tour
Sep 2018 • Couples
I actually wasn't aware that there were additional sights on top of the 3 listed, so that was a pleasant surprise. Some of them were not super exciting but it helped break up the driving. Our guide Dolly was super sweet, funny, and informative. Our favorite stop was the Loboc river cruise. It was a nice peaceful ride with beautiful scenery and plenty of entertainment and food. The chocolate hills were nice too. You get a good view at the top of the stairs but be careful climbing, especially when there are a lot of other tourists.

Great day tour
Aug 2018 • Couples
We enjoyed this day tour. Stops at the old church, tarsier sanctuary, river cruise, butterfly farm and the amazing Chocolate Hills. I felt that the butterfly farm was disappointing. The enclosures were small and the butterflies were not that special.
The last stop was the viewing area for the Chocolate Hills. This is the real highlight. There was ample time to get up all the steps (200, according to our guide) and take photos.
Our bus had 19 people on it, so a large group that didn't present any problems. There were a few Aussies, a few Europeans and the rest were Filipinos.
I'd recommend this tour. Shop online for the best price. I saw a price of $US 200 per person before seeing it for P5000+ at another site. You can probably get it for cheaper than that too.

great visit
Apr 2017
Love the place. The view of chocolate hills was amazing. I had a hard time with all the steps but I made it. Hard to climb with a bad knee. The Tarsiers were cute. not much activity since they are nocturnal. The river cruise was awesome. I love the platforms with all the Folk Dancers. The fact that they encourage audience participation is great for families traveling with children. The food was good and the service was great.
