I was super nervous leading up to the first dive… after completing all the e-learning, a lot of things were on my mind about how it would go. On Day 1, we (partner and I) met Abel who would be our instructor for the two days. Abel was so calm and chill, most of my worries disappeared. We jumped on the boat and set out for the first dive - the “confined water dive” which was not confined at all as we were in the ocean, just closer to the shore (2m deep). Before we jumped in, Abel ran us through every task that we would be completing underwater and all the things required for setup etc. When underwater, he demonstrated each task well before getting us to do it - also, when I didn’t understand something it was very comfortable asking him to repeat. Over the 6 dives, we typically spent the first 15-20 minutes completing the tasks required and then the rest of the time (≈ 25mjn each) exploring. In these dives we saw turtles, octopi, crabs, stonefish, and lots more. It was amazing. Basically, if you’re going to get your open water padi, you might as well get it somewhere that you also get to enjoy the dives. And if you can, ask for Abel - he was the best instructor we could have hoped for as complete first timers. We were also lucky enough to have Anto from Fisheye Underwater Photography on our boat, who got some stellar pics for honestly a bargain. (He also sends the basic/watermarked pics first so you know what you’re paying for). Some other general things - facilities on board the ship were great with free tea, coffee and water, as well as plenty of bananas which were needed. You get a proper meal for lunch that you order the day before - plenty of great options and the food was real good. tldr: Submariner is amazing, Abel is the best. Do your course or dives here.

My day started with a scuba diving session, but there were delays due to a malfunctioning engine on the small boat that shuttles us to the main vessel. Despite a 15-minute wait for repairs, the issue persisted. Eventually, instead of resolving the problem, the company resorted to using a kayak, which proved to be both unprofessional and dangerous. The kayak capsized due to small waves, causing damage to our equipment and posing a safety risk to all on board. Despite voicing my concerns to the manager, there was no satisfactory response. Considering the high prices charged by the company, this level of irresponsibility is unacceptable. Therefore, I can only rate my experience with one star.

Three days of diving at Submariner Diving Center was an amazing experience. We were transported to the dive sites in a comfortable boat with great views. The divemaster EL FIVE's humor and careful guiding made the diving fun and relaxing. SAMMY and the owner MARK were always friendly and attentive to details. I look forward to going back to El Nido and seeing everyone again. Great view, great staff, great place in general. Very attentive to your every need both while staying at The Beach House connected to the diving center and during diving trips. The manager Sami takes care of you the second you arrive, and makes sure everything is in order with your diving certification and other formalities before you go in the water. Dove with Divemaster Ronnel three days out of the four. Great guy! Makes you laugh and you feel totally comfortable with him while diving because he keeps cheking in and makes sure you dont drift off😂 The dormrooms at The Beach House are nice to, really spacious and well working air condition. Only thing is the lack of room for your luggage. Make sure you bring a lock for you suitcase and/or other because it has to be placed outside the dorm. Highly recommend this place for your next diving experience in El Nido! I’ll be back for sure

I had the opportunity to go diving alone here. It was very beautiful. I was impressed. The people here are lovely and my drive master, Peter, he was very kind to me. If you diving, please come and have a fun dive here.

This was a 5 star course for my open water and advanced open water PADI course ! First of all a big thanks to my dive Master Win ! Win is very professionnal and passionate by his job, I really enjoyed learning from him ! And a big thanks to the best divers and deck team I have ever met, always smilling and very helpfull ! Thanks to all of you it was a pleasure !

The staffs were very helpful and friendly. I took a one-day refresher trip with Divemaster Fet (I hope I spelled it correctly) and the team. I love the active atmosphere on the boat. I just learned OW at the end of 2019, and then it was Covid. So I was super nervous at the beginning and thought about quitting. I did not finish the exercises as I was supposed to at the first dive; I was too scared. However, my divemaster was patient enough and took me to see some nice views easily. After the first dive, I was able to finish the exercises at the second dive at the beginning and enjoy the rest of the trip. Thanks to Fet and the team, I felt confident again under the water. El Nido is amazing. The view was so nice, and it was easy to see some cute turtles. I would definitely recommend this journey to anyone encountered. Lunch was also good by the way.

I went from being an Open Water diver to becoming a Divemaster with Submariner and I think that I picked a really good place to do that! Mainly because of the kindness and professionalism of the staff, which became my family there. That includes the dive crew, the boat crew, the hostel crew etc. It was both a thrilling, amazing and challenging experience! I learnt a lot and became very comfortable underwater! Adam was my instructor and I want to thank him sincerely for teaching me and supporting me throughout the whole process! I also want to direct a special thanks for Samy. I am happy with my choice to do the Divemaster course with Submariner and I will definitely go back one day!

Great dive shop in El Nido! They offer 2 or 3 boat dives. You are on the same boat whether you choose the 2 or 3 dive option. You swim to/from the boat from the beach or wait for a kayak to take you. Small groups with each DM and plenty of space on the boat. They choose the dive sites that day based on conditions and weather. I did 3 days of diving with Peter, 9 dives total, and he was great at finding lots of little tiny critters to point out. I’d definitely dive with them again!

I have just finished 4 days of fun diving with Submariner. We did 3 dives a day and couldn’t fault anything . My DM Peter was the best, he is very knowledgeable of the sites and patiently waited for me to take 100s of photo every dive pointing out everything we wanted to see ‘especially all the tiny midis’. The boat and equipment were also very good quality, the team on the boat were very helpful with equipment. Lunch was provided and you got to choose from a menu the day before, plus fruit provided after the first dive. El Nido has plenty of dive sites to explore with great reef and swim thoughs, plenty of fish, corals,turtles and all the small things you could imagine. Wouldn’t choose any other shop to dive with and would definitely come back!

What an amazing experience at the Submariner Diving Center. The whole staff was super friendly and professional. It was my first time diving, and I felt very safe and comfortable. We saw some incredible marine life. My instructor Ajey also took some amazing shots. Finally, the food they served on the boat was delicious. I definitely recommend the Submariner Diving Center to anyone visiting El Nido!

We did our open water PADI certificate with Win (Windel). We had an incredible experience from start to finish. Win was an amazing instructor; so patient and committed - without him I would not have completed the course (as I had a fear of diving). Win really helped calm my mind and fall in love with diving. Amazing dive centre, who brought us to some beautiful dive locations and created a a very fun, safe and relaxed environment.

Submariner Diving Center is the best dive shop and dive team I have ever experienced. I have been diving for almost 20 years all around the world, and this is by far the best diving experience I have ever had! I was welcomed by the manager Sammy the moment I walked into the shop. Sammy asked me about my dive experience and what I was looking for, within a few minutes he scheduled me for 3 fun dives with a group of other advanced divers for the next morning. Not only was this some of the best diving of my life, in one of the most beautiful places in the world, but the whole dive operation was so well run! From the moment we got on the boat and had our introduction from the crew, it was apparent that safety was a TOP priority. There were several different groups of divers on the boat with different levels of experience, and we were all paired with a different dive master. The ratio of divers to dive masters was the best ive ever seen and the entire crew was just delightful to hang with. My dive master El Five quickly became my friend and we had 6 incredible dives together over the two days I was there. The dive masters go out of their way to point out different things underwater and also constantly do safety and air checks, which all divers should appreciate. This dive operation is like one big family, all the dive masters have been working there for several years and their camaraderie is just so enjoyable, I didnt want to leave! If you have a chance, do the tunnel dive…one of the best dives of my life, hands down! Thank you Sammy, Eddy, El Five, Win and the whole crew for bringing me into your family and showing such amazing hospitality. I am forever grateful and I will be back!

I dived with Submariner Diving Center in February/March 2023. I did my Rescue Diver and my Divemaster Course there (around 130 dives in total) and can only recommend this Dive Center to everyone! I learnt so much and had a really great time with amazing people. Thank you guys so much for guiding me on my way to become a professional diver! I will definitely come back as a guest or even to work with you. After seeing a lot of dive sites and dive centers as a recreational diver before, I cannot mention enough how professional, friendly and hospitable everyone is. Boat crew, divemasters, instructors and not to forget the secretary and the management. Dive sites and marine life are very diverse and safety is always first. Special thanks to my both Instructors Eddy and Adam!
