During our trip, we had the pleasure of booking a half-day tour after our exciting ATV adventure. The coordination was handled seamlessly by the team, who worked in collaboration with J2K Travel and Tours to make our experience truly exceptional. I must take a moment to acknowledge our driver, Engr. Boie Marcelo, who also happens to be the proprietor of J2K. He not only expertly maneuvered the van but also proved to be an invaluable source of information throughout the journey. What was initially planned as a half-day tour extended into a full-day adventure, as Mr. Marcelo took it upon himself to ensure we visited all the destinations listed in the itinerary, as well as some hidden gems off the beaten path. He recommended all the original restaurants that served the finest authentic local restaurants in Legazpi. Furthermore, his dedication to providing us with a memorable journey and his insights into the local culinary scene made our time in Legazpi all the more enriching. Went on the trip not expecting much but just to go on the ATV and drive up to the volcano. I did the advanced trail on a medium bike for 3,000 pesos (£45 or $60) for me this was well worth the money. My tour guide Mac took my phone at the start and provided me with plenty of pictures and videos of me driving through the picturesque valley of black silt and rocks. We stopped plenty of times to take some cool slow-mo shots of driving through puddles and making splashes which turned out really well and took me to a small clearing where we just messed around for a bit. We got to the lava flow and it was pretty cool but the things that captured my eyes were the views over the legazpi Bay Area and the volcano, absolutely stunning and mind blowing that the eruption from 2 years ago was still hot enough underneath to make steam. Honestly didn’t know what to expect but had a thoroughly enjoyable 3 and a half hours, had to give Mac a tip as he looked after me so well for the afternoon. When I fist saw mount Mayon, I was told that I could ride ATV next to it. I never thought it could be so awesome! I loved. They have great staff and our guide was outstanding. Very creative with the camera. I want to repeat!

The main agenda of our Legazpi trip was to see Mayon up close. So we dedicated an entire day for the ATV ride to Mayon. We rented 2 ATVs from Your Brother ATV which I must say is the best ATV travel and tours group. They are the pioneers in Mayon ATV tours and they have the best ATVs. We saw for ourselves coz our ATVs were the nicest. The tour guides are well-versed and professional. And by the way, they are not just tour guides; they are also excellent photographers and videographers ☺ Definitely 5 stars for me and my family. My kids say our Mayon ATV adventure is their best so far 😍

Never done an ATV trail before but this was awesome! Got muddy and shoes were completely soaked from going through the water for the first 1/4 of the ride to the lava field. Initially stuck behind a slower group but our guide got us around early on so we could go at our own pace. A bit more expensive than other tours, but from what I saw their vehicles are in a better condition and the groups are smaller - it was just me and my husband. Will recommend to anyone I know who is visiting Legazpi.

For those who elect to come to Legazpi, a ATV tour at the base of Mount Mayon would be considered the premier event. My wife and I elected to do this with 'Your Brother Travel and Tours', which holds quite positive reviews on both Tripadvisor and lonely planet. I have to say I felt the tour to be a bit underwhelming. Here are a few of my thoughts. COST * It was 2500PP to do the Mayon to base camp trail on 300CC bikes. It was recommended by reception to take the 300CC bikes rather than the 150CC bikes (which were 1800PP) as they were larger and considered to have more grunt for the more difficult bits of terrain. I must say, I think I could've easily done the trail on a 150CC bike as there wasn't much uphill or bits of terrain that required clearance. The 2500PP cost covered a hotel pick up/drop of but at 5000PP for two this was pretty expensive for filipino standards. * You need to pay an additional 50PP per person for entrance to the lava tubes at the top of the trail. This is not included in the ATV hire. * You can do a zipline at the lava front at the top of the trail at a additional cost of 300PP The TRAIL * We did the Mayon to base camp trail. It was advertised as 2 hours but it only took us 1 hour 40 minutes and about 40 minutes of that was actually us walking up to the lava front on foot, so not a lot of ATVing. * The track itself was not particularly challenging. There wasn't much uphill or rough terrain. The passages through the streams were barely ankle deep. * The guide was a friendly bloke but took my iPhone early and didn't seem to have too much concern for it, dangling it casually over the back of his bike through water crossings. I spent a lot of the trip anxious it was going to end up in the drink. He also just constantly wanted to take photos and videos of us and it felt like at times we were on a instagram photoshoot rather than genuine ATV experience. I guess this may be important to some guests but I found it annoying to constantly have to slow up to pose for photos. A couple would've been fine but this was a bit over the top. * Our ATV's did work although my front left tire was very wobbly. BRING * Glasses to prevent road dust getting in your eyes * Water * Sunscreen * Money Overall it was a 'ok' experience but I didn't find the ATVing particularly enthralling and I had higher expectations given this considered the 'premier' thing to do in legazpi. I thought the cost too was high for philippine standards. Perhaps you would have a better experience if you were to select one of the longer tracks like the mayon advanced trail or even the summit trail.

Called the agency days before our planned trip. As instructed by the lady who answered the phone, i sent them SMS on my booking and again made a ff up but i never received any feedback from them. When we arrived in Legazpi I called them again to confirm but apparently booking was not noted. Maybe somebody attentive should take charge of your phone for easier tours... my ATV broke 3x until our tour guide called their office (using my fon since wala syang load) for a backup unit.. ride was exciting.. guide took great pictures..prices differ from their site though

This company is awesome there services from pick up at the hotel and from welcoming you at the ATV site is amazing there atv units are well maintain and they have high end units which you can rent there trails are so legit which is a trail to trail tour they have highly trained staffs and tour guide which is very good in English and taking pictures and videos don't be fooled by people telling that they Are terrible they are the original operating for almost 13 years they do the tour with Passion and is the best rather done going to other company this is the most trusted company for outdoor adventures.

Great service. Even though i am by myself in the tour, they gave me a pick up & drop off service. Plus i got a tour guide who also took all the videos & pix. Sure, their rates are higher but its also matched by the quality of their service. Thumbs way UP👍

The hotel pick-up was fine but when we arrived at the company, they showed us a video of the tour with a nice drive through a landscape with rice fields, rivers and the volcano in the background and offered us to do an advanced trail which should take between 2 to 2.5 hours taking another route back instead of taking the same way. After the “guide” told us his name we drove one practice round and then started right away without him asking us if we feel comfortable or anything. We drove without stopping until we reached the lava front, he didn’t even wait for us and just drove super fast. It took about 15 minutes though a riverbed with concrete walls on both sides. Then we walked 15 minutes to the helipad and spend there 40 minutes, it was cloudy so we wanted to wait a little more until we can see the volcano but we were then told that we have to leave. Then we drove exactly the same way back another 15 minutes without stopping. The “guide” also took a video but filming only the ground and from quite far because he never stopped or waited for us. In the end the whole tour took 1.5 hours with only 30 minutes driving, not even taking the adventure trail back. The guide was not able to speak English and after we complained about the tour we were told that he was not even a real tour guide but a local, because our actual tour guide was late to work in the morning. Also we were told (by the same lady who spoke to us in the morning) that the adventure trail is closed due to construction at the moment, but they didn’t tell us before the tour. At least we got the price difference back an paid 2500p per person for the lava front trail instead of 3000p for the advanced trail. Anyway, we are so super disappointed with this company that I even created a TripAdvisor account to write this review! The only positive point was the pickup from the hotel which was on time. Rather go to Cagsawa Ruins and take any random company without pre-booking there, you can save 750 pesos or more and it’s actually the real place where they drive though rice field landscape! Other people told us that they also take nice pictures and videos of you at Cagsawa Ruins!

I did this tour today together with my partner and we couldn't be more disappointed. We decided to start with the short trail because the volcano was cloudy so on the way we would decide if we wanted to keep going to the Lava Front or come back the day after for a better visibility (for sure we are not coming back) Firstly, you need to know that if you are staying at Your Brother House you are supposed to have 20% off discount, that was advertised at the hostel, but at the moment of doing the payment they told us that the short one doesn't have discount. Ok, not a big deal but still false advertising! 5 min after we started our trip one of the ATV's chain fell off the bike and we spent more time waiting for a new bike (15 min approximately) than riding the ATV's along the whole trail After they changed the broken bike, We kept riding and after 5 minutes or less, the guide told us it was the end of the Short Trail. Which was 1.3 km away from the departing point. So basically we paid 600 pesos each for a 10-min (2.6km return) ride. Which compared to the 3.5 km advertised , that you think is one way, makes you feel really disappointed and scammed. In conclusion, if you are thinking about doing the ATV Challenge "Budget Friendly", Don't do it, you are wasting your money because it is incredibly short and even worse, shorter than what is advertised!

We went for the 2-hour tour until the lava front and it was awesome! The guide was really caring, always checking both of us could keep up. He even made pictures with our camera the entire trip, and good ones too! At the end we got a cold towel to freshen up our faces and hands! Loved it!

Did the Black Lava ATV tour with my husband and two kids (10 and 7). We rented two seater ATV’s that brought us up to the rock formation near Mayon. Tour took 2.5 hours but was supposed to be 2. It depends on the tour group skill level. Equipment could be better. My ATV died on me twice. One of the people in our group had to change ATVs mid ride.

We got the Black Lava Trail and it is wonderful! We loved the experience except for a few minor ATV issues like the chain dislodging, etc. Nevertheless, the trail is impressive! It's a must try experience! You guys should never skip this when you're in Legazpi

We took the summit tour, it is nice, Definitely the ATV is a must try in Legazpi but the announced 4+ hours was done in less than 3. So yes I’m not a bad driver (I’m used to sport cars, motorbike and jet sky) but we drove very slowly... The kuya with us was nice, taking pictures and video so really appreciated it. Would be great to adapt the tour depending on the driver skills to make it worth 9000php...
