- Irene C0 contributionsLovely highlight tour of Puerto PrincesaWe did this as a private tour, having used Baron Travel for a shore excursion in Manila which was excellent. Journey, our guide met us at the Port and we set off with Jomar, for our highlight tour of Puerto Princesa. We visited the Cathedral, Plaza Cuertal (unfortunately under major renovation), Butterfly Farm Tribal Village, saw a demonstration of local weaving (even had a go), Baker's Hill and tasted the local delicacy, Mitra's Ranch and finally a walk along the Bay. Thoroughly enjoyed our tour.Written November 13, 2024

- AliObz0 contributionsA nice relaxing day to chill away from the cityIf you want a nice relaxing day to chill away from the city, then I do recommend booking this activity. I was quite lucky as the place wasn’t so crowded. I recommend seeing the waterfall first. It is quite a small one, but still lovely. It’s about a 20 minutes walk which can be quite calming and there was a gentleman there who helped me through the water and took fantastic pictures of me. There are three pools: the big warm pool, the “soda” pool, and the lovers’ pool which is tucked away in the corner. They provided me with lockers at no extra cost. You make your way back to Manila after lunch so make sure you do as much swimming as possible beforehand. Lunch is buffet food (with soft drinks costing extra) and although I am not a huge fan of buffet food, it was nice nonetheless. Throughout the drive, my tour guide was informing me about the sights on the road i.e. the buildings, the motorway, the mountain etc., which was nice. The only negative feeling I had (at the very end of the tour) was the tour guide telling me I should tip the driver. Although I do not come from a “tipping culture” country, I do not mind doing it when someone has done a great job. That said, I didn’t have much cash on me (as everything was booked and I didn’t want to carry much cash on me) so I just pulled out the first note which was PHP 50. The tour guide complained that it was too small. I still ended up giving it to the driver, but it left a sour taste in my mouth (and it’s not like this is a cheap activity to book). Overall, this is a nice activity to book if you want a break from the city.Written April 20, 2024
- Eileen H0 contributionsA must experience for everyoneEveryone should experience Villa Escudero at least once. It is a fun relaxed day. We enjoyed the lunch at the water with the waterfall. Food was good. Waiters were very helpful. It’s good having water shoes for stability in the water. We enjoyed the show afterwards Very much. Although we did not look at the opportunities for children we noted that there were those kinds of entertainment. They for sure will enjoy the water buffalo ride. I visited in 2007, and it was good to revisit this unique place. Eileen from MinnesotaWritten March 21, 2024

Our tour guide Malou was excellent and very knowledgeable about the history of the Philippines. Oswald navigated us around Manila with ease. Highly recommend the morning tour as we were able to see the sights before the bigger tour groups from the cruise ship came. Because we were the only ones who booked the tour, they did the private tour for us and we did not feel rushed at all. Clean, air conditioned shuttle.

I’ve been to Manila more times than I can count, but only knew it as a chaotic, congested city that I avoid during my trips to the Philippines. Our tour guide Fernando (I could be wrong, it was a couple days ago) was awesome! He was so knowledgeable about manilas history and made the tour so interesting. 100% worth your money and you get to learn about the rich history of Manila and see spots that you might not have even known existed in the midst of the big city. The van was super clean with AC and our tour guide did not make us feel rushed, answered any questions and really kept us engaged. Great if you want to make the most out of your visit to Manila!

My tour guide Fernando was very informative and easy to understand. I really appreciate that even though I was solo (paid the price for 2 people) they still ran the tour even though no one else was added.
Be warned, there is quite a bit of walking involved to see intramuros & Fort Santiago, and at the time of day we went it was quite warm. They provide bottled water but would suggest bringing a hat, towel, umbrella for shade in open areas.
Driver has nerves of steel to be able to navigate the tight streets with the scooters weaving in & out. Kudos to him!

Richard was the highlight. He was fun and very funny. He is quite knowledgable in the areas we visited. We appreciated his knowledge and insight into the history and how it connected to how the people live today.
We appreciated he came into the buildings with us and explained more than the signs could contain. It helped us feel more connected to the sight.
We appreciated him stopping at places we had interest that were not a stop on the tour. (It did help we were the only two people. But we appreciated the tour was not canceled even though we were the only two)
We loved the drivers sense of safety and felt safe with him. Seeing this kind of traffic for the first time, feeling safe meant allot to us.
Mostly we lived how Richard card about his country and the people.

The tour was great, highly recommend if you have half a day free in Manila! I was a solo booking and was picked up safety directly from my hotel in a very nice air conditioned mini bus, we then went on to pick up the other booking. The driver and tour guide were very friendly and informative. It was interesting to learn about the history of Manila and stop off at various cultural hot spots. Due to the storm the previous day there was 1 stop closed unexpectedly, so instead we were offered to see China Town (oldest in the world) to make up for it.

Great tour if you have limited time in Manila. Our guide Frank was terrific and had a great knowledge of the city and it's rich history and welcomed any questions as we travelled in out air-conditioned mini van in the typically chaotic Manila traffic.
Highlights were Forbes park, US War memorial, Rizal park & Fort Santiago.

A couple of us older guys received a very good orientation tour of Manila. Both the driver and our guide, Richard, were excellent as well as punctual. We stopped at the American cemetery, drove through BGC, passed by the Mall of Asia, Rizal Park and many other locations. We received a running commentary on neighborhoods, places and historical events.
The tour included a bit of walking through Intramuros despite an ongoing deluge. We visited several churches and monuments as well as a museum.
Both the guide and the driver were very flexible and adjusted the tour meet our interests and the changing weather. It was great overview of the city and gave me an idea of where I may want to spend more time exploring.
An interesting and worthwhile way to spend our Saturday morning.

This was a great tour, very informative and the tour guide was excellent. Yes, it felt a little rushed, however I do expect that on these short tours which are more of a taster. I do wish we had more time at Fort Santiago to explore 'solo'. There was just so much to see and I would have loved the opportunity to wander on my own for a little bit. The reason this review is 3 stars is that on our tour we did not visit San Agustin Church. I understand the traffic was shocking on a Saturday afternoon, however, I was sitting in the van fully expecting to go there, when the next minute I am back at my hotel with no warning or checking if it was okay to skip this part. I was bitterly disappointed as this was my only free day in Manila and there was no opportunity for me to visit on my own. Would suggest you market this tour as 4-5 hours to allow for the traffic situation and to avoid disappointment. Nevertheless, what I did see was excellent & I found it very informative.

While the guide was informative and interesting, the tour was more driving around in Manila’s traffic jams than stopping at the sites. We couldn’t stop at Rizal Park (not sure why) and both old churches in the Intramuros were fully occupied with weddings, so we’re unavailable to tour.
The American WW2 cemetery was moving and Fort Santiago was good, but most other things were just viewed from the van.

My colleagues and I had just one afternoon of free time to explore Manila during a weeklong work trip and we are so glad we spent it doing this tour. Our guide, Troy, was friendly, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable, truly a walking encyclopedia on the history, culture and politics of the country. I wish we had had more time in each location and perhaps an opportunity to grab a snack or drink; but we had arrived late to our meetup spot due to traffic and congestion in Manila is generally very intense so I understand why that probably wouldn't have been possible regardless.

Hello, our clients from USA will be visiting the PH in October, and we want to take them on a quick tour in Manila.
I'd like to learn more about the transportation. What's the vehicle type and its capacity? Can we modify the destinations?
Where else can we discuss this? Thank you!

My Phillipines Airlines flight from Saigon is due to arrive at Manila International Airport at 1320hr on 2 September. My flight to Australia will depart at 2300hr on 2 September. During my waiting period I want to see some of Manila's highlights. Is it possible to pick me up at the airport and for me to participate in this tour? My luggage will be transferred on so if the plane is on time I should be able to meet you at 2pm outside the airport. Do I need a visa to leave the airport? Where shall I meet you?
