The tour guide was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions. The stories were relevant to the history of Hong Kong. A picture of hoe the city got to where it is today based on the historical events and the people drove our culture forward.

The organiser (Alex and Stephanie) planned the hunt thoughtfully. And what’s more fun of doing it with friends (as birthday gift) ??!! We learned so much new about HK even after living in the city for 10+ years! Amazing bonding time. Alex and Stephanie also generously treated us for a glass of bubble for the birthday boy 🍾🥂

I did the 3-hour tour of Sheung Wan that included interesting bites of history and guided tour of the area including Traditional Chinese Medicine shops. I learned, walked and sweated a lot yet enjoyed every moment. Fabulous tour and Alex was super knowledgeable and kept us to time. All of us live in HK yet we all learned something. Highly recommend.

An excellent tour with Alexandra, from TST to Yau Ma Tei and Jordan ! Even after living in HK for close to 30 years, it's always a great pleasure to learn more from Hong Kong's past history and the Hong Kong of today. Alexandra is very knowledgeable in so many stories of HK, shops and their shop keeper that still exists keeping some kind of legacy to the old Hong Kong. Stephanie our guide did an amazing job of telling the story of the area in incredible detail. No notes required here - just straight from the heart tales from the past. I’ve been in HK since 1992, and I still learnt loads. A grand day out :-)

Stephanie the guide was great and this was much more than a Chinese Medicine tour, the history was fascinating and very well presented.

Excellent, informative tour of HK Island (Central and Sheung Wan mostly). Lots of anecdotes on HK culture and history during the tour (Man Mo Temple, Chinese medecine shops, main HK colonial sites, etc)

This tour included so much more than I expected, with addition of nearby interesting sights and places as well as the Walled city garden. Stephanie is a very engaging and knowledgeable guide. I would highly recommend this company - with clear and easy meeting instructions too. Looking forward to future tours with Stephanie!

This is my second tour with HK a la carte with Stephanie as guide. I can highly recommend the Kowloon Walled City tour to anyone interested in HK history. Even if you have a very god knowledge of HK's past and have previously joined other guided tours, I have no doubt Stephanie will be able to provide pieces of information you have never heard before. Fabulous trip. The walled city was demolished in 1990 and replaced by a park so we knew there was not much to see physically. But Stephanie wove such a compelling story that we were able to experience the walled city and feel what it was like!
