Beijing Forbidden City Tour with Great Wall Hiking at Mutianyu
US$129.00
Overview

Combine three of Beijing’s most famous attractions on this full-day tour. Skip the line and save time on a guided tour of the Forbidden City, a UNESCO-listed site. Explore Tiananmen Square's landmarks, and then head to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. Ride a cable car to the top of the wall, where you'll enjoy a guided hike and learn about the iconic structure’s history and significance.

What to Expect

Begin your tour with convenient early-morning hotel pickup. Board the comfortable vehicle and head straight for Tiananmen Square. Learn about the area’s history, take photos in front of Chairman Mao’s Mausoleum, and visit the Gate of Heavenly Peace.

From here, enter the Forbidden City, skipping the long entry line and proceeding directly inside. Take in the traditional Chinese architecture, and hear all about the ancient Chinese emperors who lived here. Rather than visit all 9,999 rooms, your guide has carefully selected 10 to best represent the palace and maximize your experience.

Leave Beijing for the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall of China, where you’ll board the time-saving cable car up to the top. Spend about two hours hiking between the 14th and 23rd watchtowers while your guide sheds light on the wall's history and significance.

Relax and rest on the ride back to Beijing for hotel drop-off.
