What to Expect
Your tour begins with morning pickup from your Beijing hotel. Begin to learn about Chinese imperial history as your guide navigates traffic en route to the 500-year-old Ming Tombs. Spend two hours exploring an underground mausoleum and royal tombs on your own. Then, eat a traditional Chinese lunch before heading to a jade carving factory to learn about the culture and craft of jade in Chinese society. Next, continue to the Mutianyu Great Wall, one of the best-preserved parts of the Great Wall. Optionally ride a cable car to the highest point (own expense), or relax and walk the wall on your own. Conclude your tour with a traditional tea ceremony and hotel drop-off.
