Efifi was a great guide who took many amazing pictures. We visited the pyramids of giza, Saqqara and the open air museum of Memphis. We did a stop at a Papyrus show room/shop that was recommended by Efifi and bought a picture there. In hindsight we would recommend not buying anything at these shops, since you can find great shops opposite the Egyptian Museum in Cairo that are government controlled.

We booked a tour of Giza, Saqqara and Memphis with a tour guide Mohamed Hamed. It was our first time in Egypt/ Giza and it was phenomenal!!
The pyramids are huuuge and have so much history! I’d recommend booking a tour as it saves you the trouble of finding things for yourself, dealing with the hecklers and worrying about transportation.
Our tour guide Mohamed Hamed was a very knowledgeable and easy going guy! He provided us with good context of the place without being too overwhelming. He went the extra mile to find a nice local restaurant and get us inside one of the pyramids. Mohamed also knows the spots for good photos and is very skilled at avoiding the vendors around the pyramids. The driver and him were also super punctual and always accommodating!!
Overall, a very unique experience and a special memory! I’d love to come back to Egypt and experience it’s magic and friendly people.

We enjoyed our day tour around Pyramids with Osama (guide) and Soliman (driver). Osama organized the route perfectly: we visited Giza Pyramids, Memphis, Saqqarah, Dahshour and papyrus workshop within one day! The trip was finished with a nice and tasty lunch in a local restaurant which was included in the itinerary. I can’t thank our guide and driver enough, because the trip went smoothly, we had a very interesting conversation about Egyptian history, the road was easy and the car (Hyundai van) was comfortable and in a very good condition. Price/quality combination is awesome. The hospitality is outstanding. Many thanks, we appreciate it!

My guide was Mahmoud Anwar and our driver was Mohamed Saed, and we had a great day. I was very impressed with how much English our driver knew, because I did nothing expect to be able to have long conversation with him, but it was very fun for me as a solo traveler because we all had lunch together (lunch they will stuff you until you can’t eat any more!) and also got tea and played dominos at a local cafe after the tour. Both made the experience much more than a business transaction. It was truly fun to talk to them. Mahmoud is very knowledgeable about all of the history and showed me the most amazing religious text wall carvings/paintings at Saqqara, which I was not expecting, and it was amazing. I also think it is worth going inside the great pyramid. Do it, you won’t regret it. Mahmoud went out of his way to do extra things, like buying us tea at the end of the day and also buying sugar cane juice to try, and also was very respectful about keeping distance and wearing mask to be safe about the pandemic. I will say, they will offer you to go to a perfume shop. Don’t say yes unless you want to spend money! I was skeptical but truly the shop is about far more than perfume; they have many topical remedies for mental and physical health, and you will likely not leave without something because it is truly an interesting experience. As for the quad bike, I had no experience and was a little nervous, but they actually had a guide hop on and help me drive until I felt comfortable. Perfect for the adrenaline junkie, or someone who wants to take a risk; and great views of the pyramids from a distance at sunset. My advice: learn good tipping etiquete before you get to Cairo. It will make you feel better about who and how much you tip. Overall, great experience!

I didn't know what to expect coming to Giza, but WOW. Without a doubt we would not have been able to truly experience the essence of this amazing city without our AMAZING Egyptologist, Essam Gamian and private car driver, Abdo El Azeem. Essam is extremely knowledgeable about his craft and clearly takes pride in educating visitors about the rich history of his beloved country. Abdo transported us safely throughout our entire trip, and we absolutely do not regret paying the extra money for the Private Tours! They are worth every penny, and then some. Tips are not included, so please be prepared to tip accordingly for an all-day, life-changing step into history! Essam & Abdo, we cannot thank you enough! We will definitely be back! I've included some pictures here, but they just do not do justice to the experience! 11/10!!! If you're considering this tour, do it, and request these fabulous gentlemen for everything Cairo, Giza, & Alexandria!

Amazing tour with my guide Ali and driver Mustafa.
I was travelling solo and booked this tour a day before. Everything from the booking process to drop off was an amazing experience.I was kept well informed by Emo tours and my designated tour guide from the night before the tour. Pick up was on time. I was offered a cold drink and told exactly what to expect from the day. The tour was customisable and you could take extra / less time at each stop. I felt no pressure to buy anything and ended up getting some decent bargains. Ali was very helpful on eg how much to pay for stuff in the market, how to deal with hagglers, taking good pictures, and how much to tip the guys working at the camels. Shout out again to ALI & EMO TOURS for a great day!

I visited Cairo with my family for only one full day, so I wanted to maximize the experience. So I picked this guided tour so I could get all major attractions in one day. There are a few options for guided tours, but EMO tours seems like a reliable and professional tour company.
I was not disappointed.
Atteya Muhammad picked us up in a van with his driver from our hotel in Giza. He was a great guide. He knew his Egypt. He was friendly and knowledgeable. He was our friend for the rest of the day.
We started with the Pyramids of course. There are a lot of people trying to sell you stuff, but our guide guided us through the noise, and kept us on track. He also knew how to take good pictures. We had a great time. He also knew which camel ride to pick, how much to pay them, and even knew someone there who helped us take great funny pictures with the Sphinx.
We also visited Sakkara, Memphis and a few other destinations in this trip. The lunch was included which was a t very nice open air restaurant. Food was great.
I must say that all these guided tours also make stops at some local shops where you are given some sales pitch. Much like a "timeshare" experience. However, there is no pressure to buy, and you can just walk out if you don't like to buy. Its part of the deal, so no biggie.
However, what they did not know that my wife is a master negotiator when it comes to price haggling. We stopped at a perfume factory where they had some exotic oils for sale. The price for a mid size bottle was $100. We ended up buying 3, for a total of $100. (Yes, one third of the asking price.) That's a general rule of thumb in Egypt Try to get at least one third price, if not more. We also stopped at a Papyrus factory, for some good information. We liked a painting, asking for $375. My wife successfully brought it down to $70, but we still ended up not buying.
So the joke was on them. :-)
Any way, we had a great time and everyone was happy in the end.
I should mention that there is a lot of walking involved so you have to be a bit fit otherwise you will get tired towards the end.

A fabulous day trip, excellent guide. Go into the Pyramids, we paid EGP 100 or there is the EGP 400 pyramid. If you’re claustrophobic be aware 4ft height of tunnel going down then up to the central tomb, worth a visit but intense.

This tour was a great way to see the "hallmark" sites of Egypt. I did a solo tour with Ayman who was my guide. He was really informative and friendly. He moved at my pace and answered all my questions.
He and the driver picked me up from my hotel and took me to all the sites. The different locations are very spread out from one another so having them drive me from site to site was really important.
Ayman took me to different places where I could buy souvenirs and not be harassed by merchants which was very welcomed. In Egypt and like in most countries their isn't a set price and everything is negated which gets a bit frustrating.
During the tours we also got very good meals from restaurants. Everything was handled by my guide who really made it a great trip. I would defiantly recommend this tour and Ayman since a great tour guide is what makes the trip.

Sayed Mahmoud was our tour guide and provided a lot of historical information about the pyramids which made for a knowledge driven tour, in addition to, he made regular effort to make us feel comfortable such as asking us if we need water or anything else. However, the main gripe that I have is a lot of the stores recommended by him during the day were marked up excessively. In fact, a jewelry store we went to tried to over charge for gold by the gram despite me having access to the current gold prices per gram; this left a bad taste in my mouth & resulted in me making no purchase - I can’t support dishonest business practices. I would recommend buying your souvenirs elsewhere instead. Another smaller gripe is that the time for Lunch needs to be more adhered to, in the middle of the tour, rather than the end so we can keep our energy levels up since we are walking all day. Overall, it was an enjoyable learning experience.

For the shops , they optional places for you , you could skip them and you are not obligated to buy at all .

When the tour gets to the Giza complex, is there enough time to go inside the Khufu pyramid? I know there is an extra cost but how do I ensure I am able to get a ticket before they sell out? Also, is it up to me to book my own camel ride once at the complex?

We have limited time: would need pick up in hotel (Marriott next to pyramid) and catch plane to Aswan at 18.00? Is it feasible without rushing the tour? No need to go inside pyramid nor Camel ride but still want to enjoy and appreciate the place.. is that possible or should we plan another night? We plan anyway to come back and stay a couple of more days in centre of Cairo on way back... by the way is the GEM already open ?

Around 8-9am and it’s a FULL day I think we didn’t get back till around 5-6pm

Also note that it requires a separate admittance fee from the general entry ticket and you have to purchase it before you enter the site, as you won't be able to once you're at the pyramid. I didn't take that option as I heard it was a very narrow, low, dark and claustrophobic trek inside the pyramid...but if you're braver than me, then go for it and have a great time!

Yes, that is an option on the tour, but it's an additional (reasonable) cost. The passage inside is also very narrow, tight and cramped from all accounts, so if you have any claustrophobic issues, you might want to think twice about going inside.
