I was booked to go on the JSA + DMZ Tour but on the day of pick up we were informed the DMZ has been closed for some time (the last few months) because of swine flu outbreak. So we were then everyone was scheduled to go on the NLL Special Military Tour which in my opinion isn't

Dear Keechy Warm Greeting from Cosmojin Travel Agency. Thank you so much for taking the time to write a comment. It is important to us ! We are glad that you enjoyed your tour thanks to your guide Mr. Han ! Indeed, due to the African Swine Flue, the DMZ + JSA tour was cancelled. The alternative tour to the Ganghwa Peace Observatory is the only place currently where you can see North Korea, and actually the real villages of North Korea (from the DMZ, it is actually propaganda villages). We are delighted that you enjoyed our Q&A with the North Korean Defector and hope that you learned more about North Korea. Regarding the price, the NLL tour with NK Defector price is indeed 65,000 KRW per person but the other person you mentioned made his booking through his hotel, and was offered a contracted price. We think that the tour will reopened, but the Korean Government just want to be sure that there is no other cases of African Swine Flu in the DMZ Area. Depending on people, some guests might still like to join the NLL tour, but of course it depends on everybody's taste ;-) We hope that you come back next year as surely the tour will resume ! Thank you again for your feedback and nice words about our agency. We would be more than happy to see you again and feel free to contact us again Have a great day ! Best regards, Cosmojin Team
