Very good food tour!

I had a great time with this good tour. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a nice delicious taste of samples of Korean food in the area, with some great context added by some very nice, knowledgeable guides that spoke good English. Highly recommended!

Good value food tour
Nov 2019
My husband and I had a lovely time on our daytime walking tour with Ongo Food. We've taken food tours on other vacations, and by comparison this was a very good value. What I mean is that it is quite reasonably priced, and we tried a large number of foods in a short amount of time. The only drawback was that the tour focused on foods we had already tried before, but if you're less familiar with Korean food it would be a great introduction.

Intro to Seoul
Nov 2019
I visited Seoul with some friends, and this was the first thing we did the day after we landed. It's a fantastic way to ease into eating in Seoul. The walking tour took us through Insadong, which is a very Instagram-worthy, historic pedestrian neighborhood full of restaurants, shops, and cafes. We ate BBQ pork belly, fish cakes from a street vendor, rice cakes, mandu, and ended the tour with gelato. We skipped breakfast, so we arrived ravenous, and our guide Jay was very accommodating about making sure we got enough to eat. After the food tour, we waddled around the neighborhood to walk our meal off, and Jay was also helpful enough to give us some suggestions for other places to explore. Overall, I highly recommend this experience!

Awesome food tour with a great guide
Sep 2019
What is the best way to break the ice with your first day in Korea? Having your first meal with a great tour guide of course! Visiting four different local surroundings and tasting variety of cuisines were just amazing! Our guide, Jay was a delight to be around. She was so friendly and caring ~~ She took us to some real locals spots that we never would have toured alone. We also got to sample a wide range of Korean food, from Korean BBQ, mandou, rice cake, and even soju ice cream ; ) I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who is eager to taste some real Korean food.

Great tour with a great guide!
Sep 2019
This tour ended up being my first meal in Seoul, and I don't think I could have had a better culinary introduction to the city. I really enjoyed the pajeon making demonstration at the beginning of the tour before we took off to the restaurants, and even though it rained almost the entire tour, it didn't slow us down in the slightest. Jay, our guide, was awesome and really made sure that the experience was a positive one for us. I'd definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking to check out the food scene in Seoul.

Excellent food tours and guides
Sep 2019
I was in Seoul for a conference and took the Korean food walking tour with BBQ lunch, as well as night food tour. In both tours, we were a small group of 4-5 guests. My tour guide for the lunch tour was Jay, and my guide for the night tour was Cindy. Both guides were very personable, friendly, knowledgeable, and spoke great English! They never rushed us and were very informative in explaining the local cuisine and delicacies. We visited a couple of different places in Insadong, all within a few minutes walking distance of each other. Bring your appetite, because you definitely get a lot of food on the tours. By the end of each tour, I was completely stuffed. I enjoyed these tours because I never would have found these places on my own. Everything that we ate was absolutely delicious. The guides even explained some of the Korean culture and eating etiquitte, as well as taught us some Korean words/phrases; all of which I found very interesting. The night tour includes alcohol. Highly recommend both the lunch and night food tours. Ask for Jay and Cindy!

Awesome Fun Food Tour
Jul 2019 • Solo
Did an brilliant food tour which started with the making of haemul pajeon (seafood pancake) at O'ngo's kitchen, followed by a Korean barbeque lunch, and walking around the Ikseon-dong (Jongno-gu) area eating mandu (dumpling), rice cakes and ice cream. Our guide, Jay, is fun and knowledgeable. A fun way to spend an afternoon !!

Great food tour and guide
Jun 2019 • Couples
We loved this tour! Jay was our guide and she was so warm, friendly, lovely, and knowledgeable! We loved exploring Insa-dong with her; we went to so many places we never would have found on our own, and everything we ate was delicious. Jay also sent us the list of restaurants with addresses after the tour with the nicest message. Definitely ask for her!
