Overview
With its ancient recipes and complex flavors, Korean cuisine may seem challenging to learn. But during this beginner Korean cooking class, professional chefs will teach you how to prepare classic dishes. Browse fresh produce at a nearby food market, then whip up a delicious meal. All ingredients and equipment are included, and you’ll hear helpful tips throughout the process. Afterward, enjoy the fruits of your labor with your fellow cooks.
What to Expect
Meet your instructor at a Korean cooking school in the Nagwon-dong neighborhood. First, you’ll visit a local food market, learning how to select the finest, freshest produce. As you explore the stalls, mingle with the locals and gain insight into Korean food culture.

Back at the school, listen to helpful safety tips, then get to work producing two or three dishes under the watchful eye of your instructor. You’ll be making lunch or dinner, depending on the time of the class. The school provides all necessary ingredients and equipment.

Slice and dice, simmer, stew, or boil your ingredients in true Korean style, then sit down with your fellow chefs to enjoy the food you’ve prepared—accompanied by rice and one beverage. With your hunger sated by hearty, traditional fare, leave the school knowing the basics of Korean cuisine.
