We did the 3 day Petra & Wadi Rum tour.

Our guide Ali was phenomenal, knowledgeable and funny. The driver Anas was also great, and the quality of the bus, general organisation of the trip and accomodation, were all as expected (or better). Everything went super smoothly.

One thing that could have been improved is that we were not able to get a confirmation of if we could get our transport back to Jerusalem instead of Tel Aviv until the very last minute. That was annoying and created unnecessary stress.

Also note that the 10% discount for Abraham Hostel guest doesn’t apply to this tour. Not clearly noted when you book on their site.

All in all, would do again. Thanks Ali & Abraham Tours :)

If you book this tour try to get Mahdi as your guide. He was simply awesome! The tour was fantastic. Lots of driving but three incredible days. Jerash was stunning, Petra exceeded expectations, and Wadi Rum is now in the top 5 coolest places I've ever been out of the 59 countries I've visited so far. Went in late December and if you're able I recommend upgrading to a heated tent. Thanks for a great trip - Michael & Amanda

The tour was very well run and organized and great many vegetarian options.
The guide was great and very knowledgeable and engaging and it was a great unique experience. Border crossings were fairly simple.

However, as an avid animal lover, I and several others in our group were deeply disturbed about the blantant animal abuse that goes on at Petra with adults and children alike excessively beating and kicking their donkeys and the street dogs. Many animals would flinch when their owners were around or try to run away which is obviously a sign that these animals are not treated well. I came prepared to spend money because I was excited to be in Jordan and wanted to support local vendors but after what I was witnessed I refused to spend money at this site. Even though Petra was a really amazing site, It left me with a negative feeling about Petra. I just wish there had been some sort of warning that we would witness this on the tour. So if your an animal lover just be warned it can be a disturbing site to visit.

Remember to bring some small bills for bathrooms and I highly recommend bringing your own toilet paper or tissue as well as many bathrooms had run out and I was thankful I had brought my own. Also hot hand warmers or something similar would be very useful for the campsite as nights can get very cold and there is no heat.
Lastly, a couple people were feeling a little sick after the first night, including me, which would seem to be due probably to the food, so consider bringing some stomach settling medicine.
Keeping these tips in mind, it was Overall a greatly organized tour.

I chose this tour for the good reviews, but they obviously didn’t do it justice because this tour far exceeded my expectations. Besides some uncontrollable delays at the both border crossings, the tour ran smoothly. The food was buffet style at every meal and offered a lot of variety. The accomodation in the Bedouin camp was very comfortable, although basic as would be expected. Abdullah the tour guide was fantastic - very knowledgeable and kept everybody laughing and entertained. There was a lot of driving, so I would have felt a 2 day tour would have been too rushed with most of the time spent on the coach. With the 3 day tour it was nice to have a whole day in Petra (although we still didn’t see everything). And Wadi Rum was definitely worth the visit. The only slight negatives were the first bus’ air conditioning was leaking on some people and a few seats were wet - although all other buses were very comfortable. And the lady at the tour desk at Abraham’s in Tel Aviv was very abrupt when I tried asking where the tour was meeting the next morning. Everything else was perfect and I would definitely recommend this tour!

Our guide Abdullah was friendly, knowledgable and had a great sense of humor. He told us exactly what to expect and kept the group on track. His positive mood and fun personality helped the group come together which added to the positive nature of the experience. Petra and Wade Rum were spectacular sights to see. The Bedouin Tent stay was an adventure, think summer camp Jordan style with excellent food. The community bathrooms were basic, but clean. Bed were comfortable. All staff were exceedingly polite. Of note, drinks other than water (and coffee for breakfast) were a separate reasonable charge.

Superb tour of Jordan.. first day we visited Jerash and Amman. Second day at Petra which was a dream! Third day Wadi Rum and return to Israel. The beduine camp was so good to stay at. Boarder crossings are differcult don’t forget you need to pay exit fee (Israel) and entry fee to (Jordan) the guid was ver very good and knew all the information about all the sites. Best tour I’ve been on and it would be a dream to go again!

Overall a very good tour. Our guide Ali was very good. The way back to Tel Aviv was tiresome (mostly to blame: israeli’s border controls) and unnecessarily long (long waiting times to coordinate with another bus:one going to Tel Aviv and the other one going to Jerusalem). Accommodation was good at the bedouin camp, especially since we upgraded to a room with private bathroom and air conditioning. Best of all: Petra and that we had plenty of time to enjoy it!

10/10 recommend. Our tour guide Mahti went above and beyond. This was our first tour experience with Abraham tours and as soon as we got back, we booked another tour with Abraham tours.

The border leaving Israel is kind of a mess, so be sure to fill out all 3 forms that are emailed to you and prepay before leaving.

Also, I highly recommend the 3 day Petra tour over the 2 day. You have more time in Petra and also get to experience Wadi Rum. You definitely get more bang for your buck.

This trip definitely made our trip to Israel worth while. I cannot recommend it and our guide, Mahti enough.

Our tour guide Ali was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and honest. Petra was incredible and learning about and meeting the Beduins was an amazing experience. Only set back was the border crossing from Jordan back to Israel. It's was very chaotic.

We would highly recommend this 3-day tour to Jordan! The full day in Petra gave us a chance to see The Cathedral and Monastery. The walk around Jaresh on the first day was very neat, and Wadi Rum was also fun and beautiful. Our guide, Nadar, was wonderful - knowledgeable, kind, and managed a nice mix of guiding the group and allowing us to roam independently at each location.

Be aware that the part in Israel and much of the first and third day in Jordan is all about transportation and the border crossing, so it can be long and tedious.

We just showed up and did no advance planning. List of things we wish we’d prepared for: bring Jordanian power adapter, carry toilet paper and hand wipes/sanitizer, bring extra dinar for lots of tipping (restaurants, bathrooms, guide, driver) and you need to keep buying water.

So, we had a few inconveniences that we could have been made easier with some advance prep/awareness. Still, a wonderful experience and definitely recommended!
