A must to do Tour.
The tour was so amazing and organised well with enough time to visit all quarters and get the experience of the old city of religions.
Solomon our guide is the perfect person for providing the information, help & support during the full trip, very professional and always making sure that everyone feel comfortable.
Amjad was our bus driver, one of the most beautiful souls you can meet, very professional driving, helpful and trying to help you at most.
Thanks for the company management, special thanks to Solomon and Amjad.
Highly I recommend this tour with Rent a Guide operator.

We had a full days excursion from Tel Aviv to Gethsemane, Old Jerusalem and Bethlehem. We couldn't have asked for better weather, Sunny and 60's F. No lines and our driver/guide was simply amazing. His name is Israel and his knowledge and story telling was spellbinding and his English was excellent. I highly recommend.

I booked this tour one day ahead through my hotel. Really nice new tourvan. Our guide Michael provided a very objective overview on Jerusalem's history, the religions involved, ceremonies, traditions and today's political&economical situation in Isreal. Great, very positively surprised. Strongly recommended. Really worth the money.

I found the trip is good value for money however, I went with my 6 month old. I had no help putting the pushchair in the boot and had to do it myself while holding the infant, staff stood watching and didn’t offer to help even though the could see I was struggling. When we arrived in Jerusalem I was told I could not take the pushchair as there we to many steps and did I have a baby carrier. Lucky for me I had taken one. It was a long day, 6 hours of walking with a baby in a carrier and holding the changing bag. My watch measured I had walked just under 10000 steps. The last trip on the day was the Holocaust museum which on arrival I was told by the rep I was not allowed in with children so I would have to wait outside with for 1 hour 45 minutes. Before booking the need to advise u that u can’t take a pushchair, it’s not advisable to take young children and there is only one break for lunch, no time is given to but souvenirs, and no rest or drink breaks. The whole trip was very rushed I felt I missed out on a lot due to being exhausted. This trip is designed for young adults that are fit. There was a pregnant lady and a person who had a knee replacement on the trip no consideration was given and we all just had to get on with it. I was glad to get back to the hotel. Everything is free to see in Jerusalem so I would advise to go yourself and do a little each day. Everything is clearly explained in English so a rep isn’t needed.

The guides and bus drivers were good, but the organisation of the day was shocking! It was more about getting us to spend money in a shop outside Bethlehem than letting us explore! We were picked up late from Tel Aviv, driven about 20 minutes and then literally dumped in a car park where we had to ask every mini bus parked up what tour they were doing and find our tour, we then picked up more and more people from hotels on the way. The tour that we paid over £200 was over booked, more than double the maximum 19 people with over 40 people picked up in total in a huge coach. The guides complained the whole time that things will be difficult and that we can’t see this and that due to the large number of our group. Due to the large number we spent most of the day either running to keep up with or hear the guide and or waiting while the guide rounded up the other 39 people on the tour. Totally unacceptable. We were then told the order of the tour had changed and we had to go to Bethlehem first, which meant we saw most of Jerusalem in the dark! Spend your money elsewhere, this was nothing like we expected and we basically spent most of the day in a bus and or waiting around for the huge group to be pulled together! Well be complaining to our hotel who sold this tour to us, it was not what we paid for.

This tour was just all around bad. It was so bad that about half way through, I cancelled a tour to Masada and the Dead Sea that I had booked for later in the week. I just could not endure another tour with this group.

The day started bright and early. The driver was early, which is fine. I was picked up at my hotel at 7:15 and taken to the meeting point. Confusion ensued, but there is plenty written about that already so I will skip. We took off from the meeting point about 9 am and stopped at a couple more hotels in Tel Aviv. We arrived in Jerusalem about 10 am only to make more stops at hotels. The second stop had us waiting in the bus for about 25 mins. People were asking if they could use the restroom and were told no.

We finally take off and start the tour. After the first stop we are informed that we cannot see the Mount of Olives because we are running late and we need to get to the Palestinian boarder because those going to Bethlehem on the tour have someone waiting for them. We get to the boarder only to wait another 20 mins for someone to come gather the four people that are going to Bethlehem. The remaining 35 of us had to wait.

After they came, we were taken to the Holocaust Museum where we had two hours. We met back with the tour guide at 1 and had to go back to the border to pick up the four that went to Bethlehem. We were told that we needed to hurry because they were waiting at the border. When we got there, we had to wait in the bus for 45 mins for them to come out.

Once they finally arrive, the bus takes us to eat, well after 2 pm. The restaurant only had two options and they did not take credit cards. People had to buy lunch for their co-travelers that did not have cash. The lines were long, the food was bad and we were only given twenty minutes to eat.

We left the restaurant and made our way to Old City Jerusalem. We were rushed through the Tomb of David, the room of the Last Supper and the Church of the Holy Sepulture. We were told we could only have five mins in each even with massive crowds. Anyone that wanted to stop to buy a souvenir, food or use the bathroom was yelled at by the tour guide and threatened to be left behind.

We made our way to the Wailing Wall and then to the bus. Once on the bus, they decided not to take the passengers that we picked up in Jerusalem back to their hotels but rather get them taxis. That sounded great ion theory, but in reality we pulled over to the side of the road and waited until taxis showed up. It would have been faster to just take them. That added about another 20 mins.

We are finally making our way back to Tel Aviv. They drop off some of the passengers at their hotels and then about half way through they announce that some of us (myself included) will not be dropped at our hotel and will instead be dropped at a hostel and we need to get a taxi. The bus pulls over to the hostel and several of us are told to get our stuff and get off the bus. We wait about 15 mins for a taxi to finally show up. I do not get back to my hotel until after 8 pm. Thirteen hours after they picked me up. Note that we had 2 hours at the museum, 30 mins for lunch and 3 hours in the Old City. Five and a half hours of exploring on a 13 hour trip.

I get that there are crowds and the tour guide needs to keep people on schedule, but within the 13 hour day, we spent more time on the bus waiting for people than we did exploring. Add to the situation that there was absolutely no purchasing of anything or no unscheduled bathroom breaks and it was a difficult day. Also, know what you are booking. They clearly state that the big tours are conducted in two languages.

Do yourself a favor and book a smaller tour. Avoid this one at all costs!

Arrived in Tel Aviv on Friday afternoon and signed up for a all day tour of Jerusalem and the home of John the Baptist. I was there on business and Saturday was my only opportunity to sightsee. Others from my company had been to Israel before, so I signed up for a small group tour going by myself. There were 12 people in the group. My guide’s name was Yuval. The first part of the tour was devoted to Jerusalem. Yuval was a decent guy & provided a bit more information than what I already knew from Biblical stories. We were told not to stop at any of the trinket stands as it would take too much time away from the tour. The guide assured us that we would stop at the best shop with authentic items and not overpriced items. HA! I was practically mauled by an overzealous salesman. In retrospect, I realize I was targeted as a woman traveling alone. He kept putting his arm around me and asking if I was married, etc. The shop had air conditioning and offered free lemonade and water. I was just looking around when Michael, the handsy salesman came over and invited me to look at jewelry. When I replied that I wasn’t looking for jewelry, the tactic changed to “help us decide what women like”. 1st clue was there were no marked prices on anything. So, I tried on a pair of earrings and declined the purchase and walked around the store. I was headed to the counter with my magnets when Yuval announced that we needed to leave to continue the tour. He said the group would wait outside for me. That’s when the really high pressure tactics started, I told them I needed to leave to meet my group. “It’s okay, they said. We know where they’re going next and will take you to the next stop.” I should’ve left then. Curse my Southern politeness. Long story shorter, I paid hundreds more than a should have for a pair of Solomon Stone earrings and a bracelet. Supposedly these stones are no longer mined (a lie) and were set in white gold (another lie) Later at the hotel, I saw that my certificate of authenticity said the jewelry was sterling silver, not white gold as I was told. I was in such a rush and fearful of being left that I didn’t notice. And the stones are everywhere in Tel Aviv. Rent A Guide should vet their guides and put an end to the kickback games between the guides and their specially chosen shops. My advice is to not buy anything in this tourist trap situation. The tour itself was okay, a bit too fast of a pace, but getting scammed and abandoned by the guide ruined it for me. Lesson Learned! Shame on you, Rent A Guide!

We booked the ‘small tour option’ and in the end were around 15 people, so a bit more than we had expected. Also, we booked the English tour, but as there were mostly Spanish speakers in our group the tour guide did the our half in Spanish, half in English. A waste of time in my opinion to listen to the same explanations in 2 languages, and not at all what we expected. The place where the tour stopped for lunch was not great and expensive.

This was our second day in Israel and the bus took us from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. From the first moment, the guide made us feel very comfortable and made a small summary of the day ahead while we were on the way to Jerusalem. When we arrived there she brought us to the Mount of Olives, with breath-taking views and explained us the amazing and rich history in a brief and clear way. She gave us a total overview from the old testament, the days of Roman Possession, the times of Jesus and early Christianity until the current position. We then walked around the old city and Mali, our guide, made the places and history of the places we were visiting come alive. We became friends immediately and exhanged opinions regarding cultural and political issues. On top of all these, we had a delicious local quick lunch.
It was an impressive experience and I would totally reccomend it to anyone who is visiting Israel.
