There were only 6 of us in the car so it felt like a private tour.

Avi was our driver and our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable, professional, serious at time but he is very approachable and friendly. We drove a lot and he made sure to immerse us with the Israeli culture. It was a very good experience and when we even had extra time, he showed us around the Kiboot, not sure if I spelled that correctly. He was very pleasant indeed. I enjoyed my tour with him.

We were not able to go to Mt Bernal because of some road repairs. I hope we had a substitute place to visit but Avi was very apologetic and sincere when he explained to us about what happened. With this excellent customer service from him, I’ll still give this tour 5/5.

We went to the olive factory. They sell good products. We had lunch there. The Peta was prepared by a local, it was very thin with a delicious sauce and fresh vegetables.

If you have time to kill and some money I’d recommend the tour because it is pretty far from both Tel Aviv and Jerusalem and public transportation is hard but otherwise you can skip it unless it’s your dream.

We appreciate you sharing your satisfaction with the tour guide Avi. Indeed, you made it all the way up north to the Syrian border and visited spectacular locations with the unique landscape of the Golan Heights. Sorry, you couldn't make it to Mt Bental because of road repairs, but it seems that Avi covered it with his excellent extra-mile customer service, and he most deserves this kind of favorable feedback for his efforts and skilled tour management. we are always gratified to read travelers have come away with a good experience. Thanks for the amazing photos you shared.

We had a fascinating tour of the Golan Heights, led by our tour guide Udi. Udi was excellent and gave an Israeli perspective on recent conflicts, sharing his own personal experiences. The tour was interesting and informative. Far exceeded expectations and would highly recommend.

Zahi (Issac) Shaked was an excellent tour guide, sharing his knowledge of the Golan Heights and including several “surprise” stops that truly enriched our experience with that region. We especially found the costume experience at the Katzrin museum to be fun and imaginative. Thank you, Isaac, for a GREAT day!!

Probably the tour I enjoyed the most with this company. Our tour guide was Eitan Ben Amitai and I just want to highlight his remarkable job. Eitan was kind at all times towards people in and out of the bus. He has so many good stories about the land os Israel that I had to go back and read my bible every time. This tour not only allows you to behold amazing views but also to taste the flavors of the land. We tasted authentic druse food something really special. We tried the best olive oil in Israel along side the amazing lotions made from it. I want to thank the best Bein Harim driver, Moshe, for taking us safe and sound throughout every landscape. Thank you Bein Harim for making my honeymoon so special, Shalom!

We were hosted by Ami and Udi. I hope my spelling is correct.
What an amazing and interesting day. So much information and knowledge of the Golan heights as well as information on the bus as we drove out to Golan heights and the Sea of Galilee, Armageddon etc etc. Ami was particularly knowledgeable on the military history of the Golan heights, which was fascinating.
We were so well entertained and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the tour. Thank you so much.

It's a great experience and very interesting to explore Golan Heights with this tour! Not to be missed by anyone who want to have a better understanding of history. Also nature is wonderful.
The only 'thing' we were disappointed at was the guide. He was distracted the whole day by his phone. Even when driving!!! Several times he said he had to do something and left us alone. Also at places where he was expected to tell us about the place we stood. At Katzrin he didn't know the way. We had to show him the little map we're given at the entrance, so that we knew where to go.
In several reviews we read about a meal at a Druze restaurant. We haven't seen this. We had a mail at a kibbutz which was good, but nothing special.

We are most regretful that this was the nature of your experience with a guide of ours. This should not be the case at all. Certainly not while driving,!!!Guides are held accountable and will track this down to be dealt with. (If you could email the office directly with the date of your tour. we can try and sort it out as it should be. All our guides are professionally licensed guides and know the routes, locations, and itineraries as set by our company. No, despite what you read, we do not stop at a Druze restaurant on this tour.

I was traveling with my sister and we had an amazing day with Itamar in the Golan Heights. Itamar was funny and very knowledgable. They didn't have our names on the list in the morning and the local tour company was extremely accommodating! On all the other tours, there was a driver and a tour guide. Itamar was both the driver and the tour guide and he was incredible! We also had an amazing and authentic local Druze meal for lunch.

Outstanding tour with outstanding guide. Itamar was vastly knowledgeable and experienced. He provided great balance of stories/info and time to explore. The unexpected authentic meal provided to us by Golan Heights resident was my favorite part of the trip. Kudos to Itamar for great service.

We went on the full day tour from Tel Aviv to the Golan Heights, stopping at the old IDF bunkers where you could see the Syrian and Lebanese borders. Then we drove to the ancient house and synagogue at Katzrin, and then to the Jordan River.

Our tour guide was Eli. On the trip from Tel Aviv he spoke a lot about the places we were passing through, and that was really interesting. He often added his own political spin on certain things, without being asked for this, but it was relatively low key so I didn't mind.

He was also good at explaining the complicated situation with the Druze in Israel who have relatives in Syria. He was also good at explaining the political situation in Syria.

But he didn't explain much history about how Israel won the Golan Heights. He did not actually explain the battle that took place in the Valley of Tears, other than a brushed off comment about seven thanks against 300. What year? Did they win? Did they die? Who were the soldiers? Were there acts of heroism? We're the bunkers created then or later? What were they used for? Guess I'll have to do my own research online because paying a tour guide turned out to be pointless.

But that's not even the worst part. When we got to the 1800 year old synagogue in Katzrin, he spent 2 minutes explaining what the site was and approximately 25 minutes preaching his political opinion on the Orthodox Jews and the supremacy of the Supreme Court. Needless to say, he hates the Orthodox. He tried to say that this rant against them related to the type of issues that existed at the time of Jesus, but it was very clear he just loves telling uninformed tourists how the Orthodox are horrible, canniving dole bludgers who impose their will on everyone. If that's his opinion that's his business, but why should I pay to hear it?! I wanted to learn about an excavated synagogue that was built 1800 years ago. I know nothing about it, but I'm $300 out of pocket.

I paid for a guide to tell me about historical sites. I didn't get that. I did not pay for a political lecture.

I can't say if this is reflective of the company but this particular guide is not worth your money.

Dear Houseofbran, Thank you for sharing this with us. We have several guides named Eli. We need to investigate and take the matter up directly with the guide once we know exactly who it was. We require that all our guides adhere to the Tourist Guide Code of Ethics according to which he/she is supposed to be impartial, unbiased and positive, and represent Israel objectively. We assure you that on our tours we try to avoid discussions on international politics because it is a tour on cultural and not political sites. We regret the tour did not meet your expectations. We hope to offer you better services in the future. Sincerely yours, Bein Harim Tourism Services team
