Prebooking a tour of Jordan from Israel means you can see more in limited time
Cover key highlights in just two days of exploration
Experience Bedouin culture at a Petra camp, plus most meals
Round-trip transport from central Jerusalem takes care of logistics
What to expect
Meet a driver in central Jerusalem on Day 1 and then cross the Jordan River Valley as you travel into Northern Jordan, passing a 12th-century Crusader castle along the way. The first stop is the ancient Roman city of Jerash, where you find well-preserved streets, colonnades, mosaics, and theaters dating back thousands of years. Next, head to Amman's bustling downtown to see Roman, Byzantine, and Islamic ruins set high above the city center on a driving tour. The day concludes at a Bedouin camp in Petra—with a Bedouin dinner served by a blazing fire. On Day 2, wake for a guided tour of Petra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and ancient Nabatean city. Enter through the winding Siq, a narrow slot canyon. Following a packed lunch in Petra, begin the return trip to Israel, where this tour concludes at the original departure point.

Amazing tour and a top-notch guide!
Mar 2020
What an amazing experience this trip was! I have been wanting to do this for a while and a work trip to Jerusalem gave me that kick to finally do it. Me being a planner (both professionally and as part of my OCD-ness) researched a lot of tour companies and Abraham Tours received overwhelming positive feedback. Everything was very thoughtfully planned, from pick-up time and what to expect through the border crossing, to sleeping accommodations, dining, etc. Our tour guide while in Jordan, Yazan, was fantastic. He was so knowledgeable and was very patient with our group and the hundreds of questions that were asked. During the tours he gave us plenty of time to explore on our own, which was greatly appreciated. From a scale of 1 to 10, the trip itself was a 10, but Yazan made it a 15! Would definitely recommend Abraham Tours, and thank you, Yazan, for sharing your amazing country with us!

Lifelong dream to visit Petra fulfilled on this great tour.
Jan 2020 • Couples
I’m not normally a tour person - very independent and prefer the freedom to go where and when I want so tours can be a bit confining for me. But The logistics of driving from Jerusalem seemed a bit daunting so I booked this tour for me and my husband. It turned out to be a great fit for us. We were a group of only 6 and our guide, Ali, was knowledgeable, friendly and flexible. The weather was not very cooperative and we even had snow at the camp - the up side to that was no crowds! We were afforded plenty of time to explore - the meals provided were tasty and the views were unmatched. They were slow with the generator at camp but that was not a big deal for us - and yes the tent does have a bit of an odor (I’m assuming it’s worse in warm weather) but the highlights of this trip are so amazing that the little things are easily overlooked. So relax and enjoy the views!

Mind Blowing Place
Jan 2020
The guide, the meals, the overnight camping were all top notch....was glad I went with the main tour Abraham. Was good value for money I thought.

I personally think if you have time do 3 days so you get to have a fuller day in Petra and try to do the night lights at Petra too .... hiking up to the Monastery is something you want to get to do for sure!!

Our tour guide Wally was absolutely amazing!!!!! These places really will take your breath away

Excellent Tour Until the End
Jan 2020
I would have given the tour an "Excellent" rating. The transfer to Jordan, the tour guide and our bus driver in Jordan were amazing - as were the buses that transported us. The Bedouin camp was very nice, the food at the restaurants - all acceptable. The return to Jerusalem from Jordan, however, was unacceptable. We were placed on a bus that was in terrible condition - including paper stuffed into the overhead vents (I am assuming this was due to leaks). We were told not to sit in certain seats due to leaks and the smell of mold clearly indicated that the leaks were an ongoing problem that had not been fixed. Abraham tours should fix this issue as it leaves a last bad impression of the tour.

My Jordan Experience
Booked a Tour to see Perta with an association through Abraham Hostel website. The Jordanian Tour Guide Mah-ti and transportation Captain were excellent. What I enjoyed was how informed they were about the said areas: Dead Sea, Lots cave, Bedouin Camp site etc. It was astounding and I’d highly recommended this Tour.

Petra tour 2 days
Dec 2019 • Family
The Petra tour, was amazing!! It helped a lot to have Mahdi as our tour guide, very knowledgeable person, helpful, always explaining and pointing the sites, the meaning, talking about the customs, and history. The Bedouin camp, dinner and breakfast was incredible, cold, but it was an experience, also like to mention the person that runs the camp and the staff were great! Petra breathtaking, no words for it “Amazing place”, explanation from Mahdi fulfilled our expectations. We were there for 5 1/2 hours not enough, as Mahdi pointed out you need at least couple of days to see everything. The lunch after Petra had great falafel! The rest of the way back to Jerusalem Mahdi, gave us a great explanation of what to expect at the border. Also like to mention the “Captain “, the bus driver who did a wonderful job!😃
Thank you Mahdi for a great tour!

Best Value Trip of Jordan
Dec 2019 • Couples
We had a blast with this tour of Jordan! Not only do you get plenty of time to explore Petra, you also get to see and meet a lot of friendly Jordanian people as you eat at local spots and visit some important archeological sites in the country. You definitely get more than what you pay for. Also, our tour guide Mahdi was great! He paced everything perfectly, shared lots of valuable facts about Jordan, and had an answer for every question :)

An Experience of a Lifetime
Nov 2019
We did this trip recently and it was excellent from beginning to end our tour guide in Jordan was Abdullah he was an interesting and informative man with great knowledge, sense of humour, empathy and patience some people dont listen no latter how many times they are given information! - Jerash was unbelievable and we have been to Rome, Pompeii and Ephesus it was very unexpected. Petra what can you say we did the trek up to the little cafe overlooking The Treasury so worth it - an interesting walk in many ways as the last bit you have to find your own way a few markers here and there! but takes about an hour there and the same back and lots of climbing - we did 20,000 steps that day it is truly spectacular - all our border crossings went smoothly I would definitely recommend this company - we did the the Holy City Tour and Mount Olives with them all excellent I will review them separately.

Jordan was amazing! Loved Jeresh - nice surprise!
Nov 2019
Great Tour! Abdullah our guide was fantastic! Jeresh was an amazing surprise and wish we had more time to explore. Petra was great! An extra day (the 3-day Tour) would have allowed for more exploring. Jordan overall was fantastic! We went with a 12, 9 and 6 year old - the bus was full of foreigners from around the world - super friendly, engaging and fun! Great job by the guide to bring the best of the adventure out for all.
