Your morning tour begins at 8.30am at Tha Tien pier, where you’ll catch the ferry to Rattanakosin Island, accompanied by your guide and small group of no more than six people.
On arrival, follow your guide on an around 2-mile (3km) circuit of Rattanakosin Island, stopping to admire landmarks such as Wat Mahthat, Sanam Luang and Wat Pho (Temple of the Reclining Buddha). Hear stories of Bangkok’s fascinating history as you pass by the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha; see Thammasat University; and pause to take photos by the City Pillar Shrine.
Finally, stroll around the lively Amulet Market, where you’ll have chance to browse the stalls and soak up the atmosphere of a typical Thai market.
Your tour ends at 11am by Tha Maharaj, from where you can continue sightseeing independently or ride the public ferry back to the city.
Please note: This tour does not enter the Grand Palace or Wat Pho.
